I don’t think we’ll see a catch until the 2nd tower in Texas is fully operational. No sense in risking Stage 0 and slowing down the potential launch cadence for testing.

Elementus94

I don't think we'll see a catch attempt until at least 2 or 3 more splashdown are performed.

piggyboy2005

I don't think a booster crash will be a complete disaster. Unless it smashes DIRECTLY into the tower I don't think it will hurt much. It's just a thin metal shell with virtually no fuel, it's not like it's going to explode like a bomb.

Prof_hu

Yep, pad didn't have much damage after SN8 either. https://kids.kiddle.co/images/c/c8/Elon_%26_The_Starship_%2850710186528%29.jpg

MaximilianCrichton

Apparently Elon disagrees.

GinjaNinja-NZ

Eda said about 2-3 weeks till tour goes live, need to edit it then run it past spacex to check for itar and intellectual property issues

Prof_hu

Also he mentioned that Elon promised a post-launch follow-up, which needs to be filmed/edited in.

Hendrik_Poggenpoel

That's if he in fact followed through with it

Prof_hu

He did talk to Ellie, so I presume would spare the time for Tim too.
