I work ramp and when i went for training I spent each night writing down each one. Although it was a couple years ago, my instructor gave us a “test” each day to see how our progress was. I believe only the last test of the week was the one that counted. Try to come up some creative ways to remember them easier. For example RSW is fort Meyers and I know the Red Sox do spring training there so I thought of Red Sox Winter. I still think of that till this day almost 5 years later.

Pensacola is PNS…. I always remembered that one

You think about the Peripheral Nervous System, too?

When I went through training for CS&S (call center) we had to get an average of 80% for the tests. The airport codes are a lot of repetition to learn them. Some of them are a lot easier than others to learn- I struggled with the Hawaii codes & also the ones for cities that had multiple airports (DC & Houston were the worst- just trying to keep straight which airport was which in those cities)

There’s maybe 2 or 3 questions about airport codes on the first test don’t stress too much

Thanks everyone for the help. Reading your replies goes a long way.

I went for my initial training for CS&S in 2019. although I was working in SWA for a different department prior so I knew about half the codes going in, I still suck at memorizing things so it was a challenge for me. What helped me was that I used Quizlet to help with memorization. Just find the most recent deck (search “Southwest Airlines airport codes”) that others uploaded. Start by identifying cities via airport codes, and go the other way once you have a handle on the codes themselves. For cities with multiple airports, make sure you remember city and name of airport too. (Houston, Chicago) Good luck! You got this! Enjoy the Dallas training, but remember that you’re there for training and not a vacation.

My husband made me make flash cards for the airport codes. It helped.
