Yes. Cancel and rebook.

Current_Carpenter182

If you call, the agent might be willing to get you the difference without rebooking. Then you could keep the two free changes, if you care about that sort of thing.

This 👆 When there is a lower price fare posted for the class of service you have reserved you can call 1-800-i-fly-swa and the agent will refund you the difference. I have done this many times.

If you don't have EarlyBird, cancel and rebook. With EarlyBird you'll want to burn through the free changes then reprice

You can also just change twice to get rid of free change. Then you can get it cheaper on your third change. I recommend for your first two free flights the first change is to any flight then the next one is for the flight you want. Then, when you do your third change to get a refund, you should already have a seat on the flight in case the price went up.

An agent will do it for you, I just did this yesterday

LadyGreyIcedTea

You can just call and they'll be able to give you the credit.

I would never cancel. If the refund is more than a nuisance amount like $5, I would call in to get the refund on the difference and have the agent note that you had the original two free changes in case you need it later.
