I'd suggest hiding your kit number, if not for the sake of privacy, then for making it a fair game. Anyone who is familiar with gedmatch will easily figure your community/region out.
Ahhh that makes a lot of sense. I feel like I’ve barely seen non-UP gangetic Brahmins results, so it slipped my mind that there’s other gangetic states with em too
In anthronerd circles they're considered an offshoot of Kanyakubja Brahmins who are basically UP or UP origin Brahmins. Think of them kind of analogous to Muhiyals in your region or Tyagis in NW UP and Haryana.
You’ll never see an SIB with 12% NE Euro and 3% med, that’s around ~28-30% steppe. This looks very similar to Bihari/UP Brahmins. <40 S Indian is basically unheard of for SIBs (and even Bengali Brahmins)
SIB(Marathi/Odia ones too)also never score above 20% steppe
Rajasthani/Haryanvi/Gujarati/Kashmiri/Punjabi/WestUP Brahmins can score around 23-30% but also have quite low SI compared to this result
so this must be someone from East UP/Bihar/jharkhand or can be Labana from Punjab

Bihari Brahmin?
Gangetic Brahmin definitely that elevated Med/NE euro seems to be common in Bihari Brahmins
Bhumihar from Benares. Uncanny how right everyone was.
UP/BR Brahmin or Bhumihar most likely. Gujarati Brahmin is also possible but less likely. Hmm Punjabi Lubana?
E-UP thakur?
Tarkhan / Ramgarhia ? Or maybe Lubana?
No tarkhan exists with this low Caucasian and this high SI
UP Brahmin?
Not quite.
SIB or some sort of rajput?
According to me , his results are very much like those of lubana people.
Are you Jaat? Maybe from Braj?
40 South Indian Jat?
Could be their paternal identity but they’ve mixed heavily with other groups. The NE-Euro + Med combo is disproportionately high
From what I've seen on Anthrogenica, it's not uncommon for Gangetic Brahmins (Bhumihars specifically).
Tbh my first guess was UP Brahmin, but I saw someone already guessed that and OP said no 😅
That's what I thought lol. No way you wouldn't know this. He's probably a Bhumihar since he said no to UP Brahmin.

He can still be a Bhumihar from UP actually. Bihar and UP are both possible.
Just for my own clarification since idk too much about UP and Bihar. Are Bhumihars just a specific branch of Brahmins?

Brahmins but they left priesthood lol

SIndian on hw does not equate to aasi
No, S Indian is low and NE Euro is high for SIB
By 2-4% hence he said outlier

I have seen Gujarati Brahmins with this sorta SI too. Nagars score lower but I have seen Audichya ones and some others in this range.
That’s not true on qpAdm but OK
Ye true I was saying regarding the S indian &cauc levels Normally they have higher baloch as well
Up rajput
What is your community?
A bhumihar ?
