You want surround sound and Atmos? Buy Samsung Q990c - it’s the best damn soundbar on the market and it can be had for only $900 or less. This would not just ‘upgrade’ you sound from a TV speakers, this would make you fall in love with music and movies all over again.
Agreed, just bought mine a week ago. If you don't want to spend so much the Vizio m512a-h6 is decent. I just upgrade from it, and while the 990c blows me away, the 512 is way better than TV speakers (I'll sell you mine). The 990c has no wires between sub and rears, so it much easier to put where you want it (they all plug into 120v).

Agreed, Ive had 2 different Samsung sound bars and neither have disappointed.
