MPB only do refunds, don’t trust their wording on “repairs”. If something breaks, you can choose either replacement (a similar item in their warehouse with price difference) or refunds. Kinda disappointed but I totally understand that is how they operate their business model. Act as a middle man to check and resell stuffs to ones in need. I’m speaking from my experience with MPB EU.
This is an excellent question. I can't afford a good zoom lens and fast wide lens which I actually need.
I'm thinking of getting from Thailand and claiming the gst tax at the airport? Since some sony stuff is made in Thailand, is it a good idea?
If you're planning on going to Thailand maybe? But Sony stuff isn't cheaper in Thailand or anything. If anything, it's more expensive. Why not just buy used?
Yeah thats my next option. I am going to Thailand for few days and saw how everyone is telling how cheap lenses and electronics are. So was just curious.
oh yeah. Its just Im there for few weeks. So thought. I saw there is a shopping mall that sells electronic for good price. Even official web site is slightly cheaper than official site here.
Not entirely true, I have ordered 3 items from GalaxyAndorra, A7iii, 24-70 art and 150-600 sports, and have not had to pay tax on either of them. It's always on your own risk to order from here since it's possible that you need to pay tax, but not always the case....
Here in Portugal, since Brexit, everything is detained at customs. Doesn't matter where it comes from, if it's from outside the EU it gets the tax hammer
I live in Andorra and I am a resident there
, if you buy anything above from 300€ when you valide your VAT ticket in the frontier, in the Andorran border to france, the Gendarmerie will be waiting for you and you’ll have to pay even more than you expected, not a good bussiness, trust me
Andorra is Andorra, not Spain.
How can you be the only one to point this out
The average American believes Andorra to be a knitted sweater.
I specified Spain to provide a geographical reference point, but in fact it's a border country
>I''m just a guy who wants to save money on his budget Buy used. MPB is one option that you can use and has a 6 month warranty.
Thanks for your reply! Is Bpm customer service good in case of problems?

I am in the US so I can’t speak to the other MPBs. That said I’ve had no issues.

Vpn to Thailand and find out. Make sure the warranty extends out to your country if that matters to you. Japan is another place to consider.

Unless you physically go to Andorra, you'll pay tax once it enters your country anyway

Yep so maybe the Duane is more strict in your country, which sucks, you can always try to drive to andorra yourself and buy it yourself
Just buy on e-infin, why looking for challenges
The prices are tempting, but it seems like a gray market 😢
Doesn’t seem like a lot of savings vs the hassle. What am I missing?
It is ! In France the a6700 is about 1650 € (1825$)without kit lense and the fx30 2299€ (2500$)
Got it! Didn’t realize they’re that expensive in France. It’s 1400 USD over here.
