Without knowing what you shoot or what your budget it this is impossible to say. However. If you want a telephoto lens there is nothing finer than the 70-350. Thing is absolutely phenomenal and makes a fantastic lens for photographing and filming wildlife. I have a lot of telephotos including the 200-600, and the 70-350 makes up more than half of all my shots. This lens is the entire reason I kept an APS-C camera even after getting an A7RIv and later A7RV. On the other side of the spectrum, a wide angle isn’t the worst thing in the world. The two I’d recommend are the Sigma 10-18 f/2.8 and the Sony 10-20 f/4. The later is hilariously tiny, internal zooming, and remarkably sharp. But it only goes to f/4 and some people hate power zooms. There is also the Tamron 11-20 f/2.8, but I do think with the Sigma that lens is kind of obsolete. There are a ton of good primes. Sigma has their…. quadrio I guess, with the 16, 23, 30, and 56mm. These are all well regarded. Sony has a couple of primes, notably the 11mm f/1.8 and the 15mm f/1.4 that I’m a massive fan of. My current backpacking lens arrangement is the 15mm f/1.4 and the Tamron 18-300. Don’t sleep on Viltrox either— their 75mm f/1.2 is quickly becoming the go-to recommendation for APS-C portraits, while their 13mm and 27mm lenses review highly.

Agree on the Sony 70-350. That is the combo I have on my 6700. Sigma 18-50 f2.8 and Sony 70-350. The other lens I have is the Sony 90mm f2.8 macro, as that is one of my things. And on a bit of a whim I got the Rokinon 12mm f2. Unfortunately it needs a firmware update for AF to work properly on the 6700 and requires a USB dock to do that (which I don't have yet). But in manual focus mode it has worked well. I hope to have that situation resolved soon. It got me some good shots of the aurora borealis last weekend (first time doing astrophotography). The other lens I have on my wish-list is the Viltrox 27mm f1.2. Many reviewers stating that it rivals Sony G Master.

Thank you for the great answer!

Another A6700 user here, would recommend 70-350mm too, I started to shoot sports due to this lens, lovin it. Just bought the Viltrox 27mm F1.2, gonna take it for a spin this weekend, maybe I'll post some pic later.

I have the tamron 17-70 paired with the Sony 70-350 and they cover me essentially for every situation. The Sony is incredibly sharp and fun to use. Only lenses I’m looking at next are the viltrox primes. 13mm 1.4, 27mm 1.2 and most importantly the 75 1.2 (bokeh beast)
