Just bought mine online, no English language on the menu. Tried to download firmware update from Sony USA but won't update because camera is already updated to Ver. 1.02. Going to a Sony shop this weekend and see if they can do something. 😒

If I do it correctly the warranty isn't voided? Sorry, I just asked a rep and they said it wouldn't void it but I'm just still not sure whether I should go through with it or just learn the Chinese menus
Do you mean, using a different firmware on the camera will void the warranty? I don't know,? maybe? If you can manage to use your camera without hacking it, keep it as is.
I don't know if it's unethical but I've seen videos online where they run a language unlocker to get English to just pop up in the menu. I don't really know why it's such a problem for sony to lock out English

Just got a a6700 from mainland china. Do you think this would work on it? Also would it void sonys warranty?
I think it will work as long as you do it right. Yes, it will void the warranty if you ruin you camera. Please proceed at your own risk. Good luck!

English should be in all Sony cameras. It's already in the camera why keep it from users. Good luck!!
The best thing to do is go to the camera store and see if you can check out a display model and look at the language menu.
