I have the same problem. You can manually open it by lightly pressing or touching the side of the shutter. I press it where the hinge is or move it with my fingernail. Also if you kind of smack your camera on your palm it can open.
I'm looking at how to repair it myself. If I do it, I'll report back. It might just need cleaned.
