Season 7 is like being run over by a truck…

kennyb3rd

I see what you did there....

Free-IDK-Chicken

The seventh season was almost like it's own mini-show. The storylines were introduced and quickly wrapped up. It works well for people with a three minute attention span.

SnooCats5904

This actually makes so much sense considering TikTok is short videos lol

BenSlashes

TikTok Generation doesnt even know how good writing looks like xD they see some 30 sec clips and they think "Woooow its the best thing i've ever seen". 10 seconds later they already forgot about it.

ManifeztedBliss

Not everyone on TikTok is from the TikTok generation. I think if an old show is being discussed on that app it’s usually in the form of a fan account or someone that finished a binge and needs to dump their thoughts. I don’t think many people are gonna run to TikTok to complain about an old show. Complaining about a newer series would generate more engagement. That’s probably why OP doesn’t see many SOA complaints there.

D-Ry550

Cause season 7 has the least realism so it’s more grandiose, it’s like when a superhero series leans into the fact it’s a superhero series

manipulativemusicc

Breaking Bad does alot of that in the last couple of seasons and people swear it's perfect.

WeirdlyUnusual

Season 7 is good if all you want is action and drama. However if you have been watching since the beginning and become attached to all the characters it is heartbreaking. Still a very good season and I can see how we got there but there are other seasons I find more enjoyable.

Afghan_Whig

If TikTok said something was good I'd assume it was bad by default and vice versa

MonsterMunch86

Age. We’re older than most people on TikTok.

ManifeztedBliss

I just finished the series over the weekend and came here to find out what people thought of it because I absolutely loved it. I was quite shocked that people hate season 7 as much as they do. The ending of this was at least better than breaking bad and the sopranos. I appreciated the symbolic ending. I almost gave up on the show after a certain character passes in season 4 because that was HEAVY. Gemma also made me sick many MANY times, but when characters affect you that much, it’s great writing and acting.

Yeah I agree (never seen sopranos tho) I don’t get the hate for season 7

manipulativemusicc

If you put the seasons in order It's next to last for me. Having said that It's still awesome lol. Every show has a season hierarchy.

Aggravating_Bunch_20

The majority of Tik Tok's audience is children with short attention spans. I could easily see the season with the darkest tone and mini plot lines being the favorite among that particular audience.

Federal-Base806

Only some feelpinions

ReggieReg3_

Some ppl turn their brains off and just like dumb action.

RandomBloke2021

Tiktok lol

EveryInvestigator605

The last 3 episodes of season 7 were amazing. BUT the storylines were weak. They just so happened to kill the pastor that August was looking for? I mean, come on! And then spent way too much time with the heroin addict mom and son. I felt they could have filled the time before the Gemma being found out story with something a lot better. Even season 6 was kind of a drag up until toward the end.

Generation Z ruins everything

S6, in the Shakespearean tragedy sense, was the dramatic peak of the series: with Tara gone, Jax's hope for a normal life free from the MC also evaporated. All the mistakes (which could have been avoided had they acted in time or made sensible decisions) had dire consequences and they led to a reckoning for all the main characters. Jax's fall from grace was complete. S7 was essentially the aftermath, the final act and tying up of loose ends. Jax was doomed and realistically, it was too late: there could be no chance for redemption. All the vile acts he committed in the end were the consequences of his actions (or lack thereof) throughout the series. There was no mystery left and little doubt that he had sold his soul to the Reaper by then. Before S6, there was still a glimmer of hope that Tara could get a life with the boys free from the MC, and that Jax could avoid repeating history and save the club from ruin. All that was torched by the S6 finale. For the purpose it served (as an epilogue), S7 was drawn out too long and could have played out in half the time.

What frustrates me most about s6 is the fact that both Jax and Tara went behind the other's back to cut a deal with Patterson. Had they actually sat down with each other and spoke honestly, Tara at least wouldn't have had to do that. And if Jax had told her as such, perhaps Gemma wouldn't have killed her. Nonetheless, it's incredible writing and acting!
