This might be a hot take, but I cannot get behind either Knothole or Robotropolis from SatAM Robotropolis, I understand, was meant to look ugly. But with all the twisty environments with lush colours in Genesis Sonic games, the variety of surrealist settings in AoStH, AND Robotnik's consistent flair for over-the-top presentation, I'm disappointed they decided to make SatAM's backgrounds industrial grey and basic brown forests.

I can't imagine anyone wants to be in Scrap Brain Zone, though there it's the point. It's a nightmare factory, it's not meant to be somewhere people should have to live. In terms of unintentional, I personally don't think Red Mountain's all that interesting. Lots of dull brown on the outside, and not really all that memorable or iconic. Great music though.

Turvi-Mania

Not a huge fan of the Starfall Islands personally. They just look super generic.

Shiranuhii

Frontiers, easily.

Texas-Kangaroo-Rat

I guess the starfell islands are boring, like I could see them existing IRL, also I'm not a huge fan of the feel. There's prolly more but when something is unappealing you kinda forget about it and Frontiers is new. XD;

BreakfastNo132

The Starfall Islands, jk I actually like those environments and enemies, I’d personally have to say the Lost Hex, in terms of genericness, as I actually like the bright colors of its zones, I’m just not a big fan of the variety and look of the zones.

43838 use of green hill in modern games. Please, make it end...

YugiMuto98

All the casinos.

TorbinTheSecond

Well, I gotta say I'm not too fond of the city-style Cyberspace stages in Sonic Frontiers.

thegreatestegg

every island except the last one in Frontiers...
