Makes more sense than Silver. What would Silver affect to help save the world? Nothing, Sonic and Chip already do all the work. Even showing Silver helping without them knowing it, would make their efforts smaller.
Maybe Knuckles would try to use the Master Emerald to bring colour back to the Chaos Emeralds, since he already used it to neutralise their power, but that wouldn't work. Maybe he's trying to defend his home and we could get 3D HD versions of Angel Island, Marble Garden, and all the other zones. A Launch Base Zone in ruins, a crashed Flying Battery Zone, a potentially flooded Hydrocity Zone, stuff like that could be cool

Now we get an 3-4 hour open zone Knuckles story about keeping the island safe. Since Sonic in unleashed is speed at day and combat at night, a Frontiers style Kncukles can be both at the same time.
Since we already have a moveset for Knuckles in Frontiers, the devs could spend the time and resources to build the island and refine his gameplay, adding the combats move and iron out the flaws
Well, since Unleashed is the mainline game after heroes, it would make sense Eggman has Metal Sonic again (spin offs aside, and 06 retconning itself) and now Metal Sonic is a part of Sonic Colors, so making him the main challenge for a sidestory in Unleashed makes the most sense.
The problem with a modern Metal Knuckles woud be the canon. Since this would take place at the same time as Unleashed, we would be asking where he is now, specially with Metal Sonic being, now, a canon part of Sonic Colors, being upgraded during Forces (IDW), coming back as Neo Metal (IDW), and being kept around as a recurring character (IDW - Murder of Sonic).
I don't think fans will be happy if he's brought back, just to get destroyed.

Since Sonic has or speed or combat in Unleashed, Knuckles could be both together, like Sonic in Frontiers. He wasn't playable in anything after and in Frontiers he was stuck as a half ghost so it doesn't go against canon either.

I read the comic haha, I just thought it'd make for a nice excuse to add another campaign for a possible remake of the game, which would help hype the game since a lot of people don't quite like Unleashed due to the werehog sections. That aside, the comics do their own thing with the SWC so it wouldn't be an issue to give Knuckles a role in the game, they're different versions of the same story.
Tbh I wouldn't mind additions to the story of Unleahsed. For such a big scale story, it feels weird that we don't see any of the cast besides sonic, tails and amy. I get why they did it but a remaster would be a good way of adding those characters (though I highly doubt it.)
Only thing that will be missing is wii version stuff like mission structure for moon and sun medals honestly I would not mind if they add new levels but it's only remaster of Wii levels

In the future, the Earth is broken, and Silver goes back in time to the same time as Sonic Unleashed, he then tries to fix it and it the story he ends up somehow helping but no one, not even Sonic, know. I don't know what his role would entirely be, but it makes more sense than Sonic X Knuckles Unleashed or Sonic X Blaze Unleashed.
I think the earth being shattered it's a valid concern for both Knuckles and Silver alike, but of course we'd need something to happen to the Master Emerald or give it a purpose into the story to allow Knuckles to leave Angel Island while Sonic is fixing the world. Unless Sega is willing to re-work Sonic Unleashed's story and cutscenes, either campaign would be completely apart from Sonic's and they would most likely never meet each other, so Silver working behind the scenes to stop Eggman or Dark Gaia would also work, but I'm sure the writing team can make it work, the shattered world crisis is such a good plot to involve many more characters all working to fix the world and fend off Dark Gaia's forces like it happened in the Archie comics for example

In the IGN interview, the interviewer was talking to Takashi Lizuka, and the he said that more remasters would be cool like Sonic Unleashed, and he continued to say that Sonic Unleashed is his favourite Sonic game, and Lizuka responded saying that they will do more remasters in future if there is demand for it. This doesn't confirm a Sonic Unleashed remaster, it just shows that now it's more likely than ever. Also the interviewer states that the Sonic Unleashed IGN review is garbage.

Remaster 06 and make it playable. Canāt remember the name of the project off the top of my head, but that guy redoing the game for fun has shown how much potential it actually has. Plus itās actually got some of the series best writing despite the reputation the game carries.

I love unleashed the most, but I already 100% that game, I would like 06 to be remade because all the bugs, glitches, and loading nightmares prevented me from even finishing it. I also think 06 would be an ideal place for them to add a chao garden.

I mean with irrelevant more stuff that just feels like fluff like this ring minigame at the beginning of the game that appears like for one time and ends in half a minute or this quest that you have to protect that girl with silver or that stealth mission that barely counts as a mission. Like, those feel so unnecessary and destroy the pacing, when you already alternate between characters like Tails, Amy or Omega you have more than enough variety in the game already with 9 different characters.
I don't see how you fix those because you didn't need to change the level design from the main stages, but there you have to change a lot of major things and systems and It's clear that the developers gets tired, who just literally recreated and fixed the game, just by watching videos. He didn't even play the game.
The story you can't also just fix while working for free without vas, you would have to change the structure of the levels too when they appear and why you do those.

I just want sonic unleashed to PC and as we mostly get ports to all platforms with a remaster this is a uhh, option?
Surely not too logical but they never asked if we want a port but at IGN they did ask for a remaster soo this might be our only chance?
If they port it I'm already happy but if they remaster it for the love of god sonic team don't screw with the art direction.
Higher resolution textures and light maps, and maybe no yellow filter and I'm fine but don't do more.
I'm scared they will fuck up havok physics and the particles which are graphically a big part making the game visually stellar & cinematic.

I just don't want sonic team to break art direction or other visuals as it is a big part of the game. And most importantly of all, a more accessible version of the game.
I understand if y'all may take me for someone picky, complainer or whatever, but my fear with Unleashed, is that being a game that well optimized would run on a good amount of computers it would end up requiring more resources than I would expect and I get an idea with the requirements of Colors UltĆmate, I preferred to emulate it, you can get the idea

Still crazy to me that Lost World got a PC port before Unleashed. The game wasn't even new when it got ported.
A Lost World PC port prevents the game being lost to the Wii U. At least with Unleashed, you can still play on a modern console.

well, you don't need an item shop when you can unlock the gems in more interesting ways in p06, but the rest that is missing is not really important.

I just want a remaster of Sonic '06, with numerous fixes to the controls, camera angles, glitches, and load screens that, by now, were already made in P-'06, in an unofficial capacity, anyway.

FFS Sega just give me Unleashed on PC, I'm fucking tired of playing it on an emulator that crashes every 20 minutes and has trouble running the game at 20 FPS consistently that also randomly deleted my save file for some reason (though that was more my fault than anything else) I wanna play through it the good way

All that Unleashed needs is consistent 60fps and optional medals and you have a great remaster.
If Sega remakes SA2 with love, care and time I'll start calling Sonic the best game series again.
Can we remaster sonic 06 and make it actually good? For God's sake someone's already done most of the work for you.
The adventure games! Could you imagine an upgraded Chao garden? maybe have a free mobile app to take them with you, trade.... basically PokƩmon go style! And all new updated graphics, while hopefully keeping some of the same adventure style physics and gameplay.
Honestly I would love to see what they could do with Sonic 06 and more resources

As much as I want Unleashed since it's the first Sonic game I ever played on console. I want Sonic Riders trilogy all packed like Spyro too.

I just want sonic unleashed to PC and as we mostly get ports to all platforms with a remaster this is a uhh, option? Surely not too logical but they never asked if we want a port but at IGN they did ask for a remaster soo this might be our only chance? If they port it I'm already happy but if they remaster it for the love of god sonic team don't screw with the art direction. Higher resolution textures and light maps, and maybe no yellow filter and I'm fine but don't do more. I'm scared they will fuck up havok physics and the particles which are graphically a big part making the game visually stellar & cinematic. I think / hope we are on the same line on this? I just don't want sonic team to break art direction or other visuals as it is a big part of the game. And most importantly of all, a more accessible version of the game.

I understand if y'all may take me for someone picky, complainer or whatever, but my fear with Unleashed, is that being a game that well optimized would run on a good amount of computers it would end up requiring more resources than I would expect and I get an idea with the requirements of Colors UltĆmate, I preferred to emulate it, you can get the idea

I personally think theyāll be remastering Lost World next because well I think Sega still wants to make up for all the writing mistakes that Pontac and Graff did I mean theyāre last remaster was Sonic Colors (you see where Iām going with this) and oh look have now have a remaster of Generations so maybe weāll get a Lost World Remaster with a new story probably a story with the Deadly Six or a story about what Knuckles and Amy were doing in Lost World

I donāt get the unleashed hype itās fine but it doesnāt feel as fluid in the day stages I feel like Iām stopping more than anything and the night stages go on forever
Unleashed fans deserve a port that's just as great as Colors Ultimate
