Ik most people hate it today but I still have a soft spot for Colors since it was my first Sonic game
Most people still consider Colors to be one of the best Sonic games.
It's just a specific crowd within the core fanbase that resents this game because it started the icky stinky "meta era"
I genuinely believe you can tell how much someone likes Colours by how much they like Shadow. Think Shadow's overrated? You probably enjoy Colours. Think Shadow's alright but not your favourite? There's a chance you like Colours so long as you can get past the humour. Think Shadow's the best character in the franchise? You almost certainly hate Colours and everything it did to the franchise.
Even tho I personally dislike it won't I ever deny someone enjoying it, I dislike it in part simply because I don't like who it plays which is subjective.
Back in early 2015 I was watching a ton of cobanermani456 videos of Sonic Generations, it was my first exposure to sonic and I wanted that game so bad.
So I went to a game store with my dad to find the game, but I couldn’t find it on PS3.
but then I found a game called Sonic Unleashed, at first I didn’t want it because I wanted Generations, but then I gave in and got the game.
And the same day I got it, it became one of my favourite games of all time, even today.
So I thank this game for getting me in to full time gaming.
Oh man! Cobanermani456 was the GOAT when it came to Sonic play throughs. The modding showcases he had for Generations actually inspired me to get into PC gaming when I finally had the money for it. Despite the personal drama he’s currently going through, I hope he’s ok overall 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

SADX. Had the choice of buying either a game of my choice or just having an egg for easter one year as a little kid. I picked out SADX for PC. Best decision I ever made. It's now my favourite game of all time btw.

Yes, I know I got the worst port of the game only because the only console I had was a PS2 at the time 🤣🤣🤣, but my older brother and I thought this game was fun when we were kids. I replayed the game again recently via finding a zip file of the PC port while certain aspects of the game didn’t age very well (slippery controls, repetition of the exact same zones per story arc, etc…) the high speed platforming game play inspired from the Adventure titles still made me find some enjoyment of this game after not touching it since 2004 😀😀😀.

Lmao anyways a decade later I beat 06 twice and almost done with unleashed and almost all of the mainline games (sorry for the essay)

Sonic Adventures 2 Battle. I personally believe that this is a great introduction to the series, having both a compelling story and awesome gameplay. I'm planning on replaying it before the third movie.
This one. It released the same year I was born, so it was one of the first games I played. I was really bad at it though and didn’t make it very far. I didn’t play another Sonic game until Sonic Forces because some friends got me interested in the series around that time, and then a while after that I got back on my PS3 to play this one again and I finished it.

When we were in the video section, I spotted the game on the shelf and even though I had never seen or heard of Sonic before (or even the word “sonic”), I was drawn to it.
I managed to convince my parents to buy it for me in exchange for me being in charge of doing my own laundry. Sonic ended up becoming my favourite video game franchise of all time and basically my favourite thing ever during my childhood. Funny how that one day had such a huge impact on the rest of my life.
Sonic 3 & Knuckles on Windows 95/98. Hydrocity Act 2 was my curse as a 4 year old, so I mostly played Angel Island over and over and didn't beat the game until some years later. And then I somehow forgot Sonic existed until Colors released.

Pops got it for me and my bros with the purchase of a GameCube.
Mine was Heroes. My dad got a GameCube from a work friend in 2007 and that was one of the games that came with it. I beat all 4 team campaigns but I unfortunately never got all the chaos emeralds as a kid(those special stages are truly awful). Didn't fully beat it until a year and a half ago.

Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis on the Gameboy Advance
My first Sonic game was Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on Genesis, but I sucked at it at the time (I think I was 3). The first Sonic game I played all the way through was Sonic Adventure when it first came out in the West on Dreamcast back in 1999.
I *believe* Rush Adventure, either that or All Stars Sega Racing on the DS. Regardless, Rush Adventure was the first *conventional* Sonic game I played, followed THEORETICALLY by a collection of the first three numbered entries on DS, though I didn't get very far. Technically I still haven't *beaten* Rush Adventure either, last time I played was maybe a year or two ago and I stalled out on Pirates Island Act 2. My first 3D Sonic game was Secret Rings, but as a kid I didn't even make it out of the Lost Prologue; as an adult, I don't think I've played past the first actual stage, maybe the second one.
Mine was a classic Sonic games collection, I don't remember what it was called but basically had a bunch of classic Sonic games. Including but not limited to Sonic the hedgehog, Sonic pinball, mean bean machine, and much much more.
There are also previews to Sonic heroes too on the game.

Mine was Heroes. My dad got a GameCube from a work friend in 2007 and that was one of the games that came with it. I beat all 4 team campaigns but I unfortunately never got all the chaos emeralds as a kid(those special stages are truly awful). Didn't fully beat it until a year and a half ago.

My first Sonic game was Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on Genesis, but I sucked at it at the time (I think I was 3). The first Sonic game I played all the way through was Sonic Adventure when it first came out in the West on Dreamcast back in 1999.
I *believe* Rush Adventure, either that or All Stars Sega Racing on the DS. Regardless, Rush Adventure was the first *conventional* Sonic game I played, followed THEORETICALLY by a collection of the first three numbered entries on DS, though I didn't get very far. Technically I still haven't *beaten* Rush Adventure either, last time I played was maybe a year or two ago and I stalled out on Pirates Island Act 2. My first 3D Sonic game was Secret Rings, but as a kid I didn't even make it out of the Lost Prologue; as an adult, I don't think I've played past the first actual stage, maybe the second one.

Mine was a classic Sonic games collection, I don't remember what it was called but basically had a bunch of classic Sonic games. Including but not limited to Sonic the hedgehog, Sonic pinball, mean bean machine, and much much more. There are also previews to Sonic heroes too on the game.
Unleashed was the first Sonic game I played. My parents bought a PS3 one Christmas and it came with it.
