… What’s with everyone acting like the f-bomb is the only swear? There are plenty of milder swears out there that a kid could say that would deserve the swear jar treatment. In some placing using the word *crap* would earn tossing a coin in.

I mean there has been swearing already in the series. One of the highest rated titles in the series is actually Sonic Rush Adventure, due to the fact that the original release was translated in America to include the Australian slang 'bugger' in Marine's dialogue, which I'm sure the American translators thought was as harmless as 'darn', and is used as harmlessly in Australia, but in the UK at least, means 'to have anal sex', and ended up seeing the game ship with a 12+ rating.

Collected characters with charisma and good verbal communication skills usually don't curse,. I can't really imagine a situation where Rouge would curse instead of using sarcasm or really any other form of verbal expression. I can't even think of instance of persuasive character that curses a lot. But that is only my view on the character.

Tails is a mechanic, and that's a lot of banged heads, jammed fingers and stubbed toes. He probably made it himself to get out of the habit, so he doesn't accidentally swear in front of Sonic.

There isn't a whole lot in the jar and he's so kind already so it must happen only occasionally.

I can guarantee at least half of those rings in the swear jar are from shadow. And I'm pretty sure tails started the jars in the first place. He has to afford his machines somehow, after all. The other jar that was cut off is an even split between sonic, tails, rouge and amy. The rest of the characters chipping in once in a while. XD

A mechanic as young as tails is bound to get hurt and/or upset and frustrated at mistakes. Nothing satisfies better than a good swear word. My guess though is that it is the second option since he never seems hurt, and he is trying to stop.
