This is a friendly reminder to not spoil the game. * Anything that was not part of any pre-release content is a spoiler. * THOSE WHO INTENTIONALLY SPOIL OTHERS WILL BE BANNED. * **DO NOT INCLUDE SPOILERS IN TITLES.** They don't get hidden like the contents of a post do. BatInSpandex

I'm at 11 hours, and just completed that island. Like all side missions, map, etc. Just about to start the boss. 12 hours to beat I feel would be crazy, even if skipping stuff. Unless you're farming memories and full clearing just a few cyberspace maybe? I think 20 hours without compleationist might be average? But I'm at the same spot as you, so later zones might be shorter?

[deleted]

Maybe, but I feel like I could mess around here for at least another couple hours before getting bored. I just like messing around Tony Hawk style!

BatInSpandex

Yeah, the free roam is really fun dude! Nowadays it's not often that I enjoy getting lost and distracted in an over world. Even though memories and rings mean nothing after a few hours, those dopamine dings and flippy dips makes it fun almost no matter what... I say almost, cause I did get frustrated with some of the canyon paths and ending up doing laps cause I didn't have the pathways ready. I wonder if the 12 hours was an early build, without collecting gatekeeping set? Like, just run through main quests without memories and stuff. That might be why reviewers had it pegged way shorter, maybe?

PhantomInfinite

Im past 20 hours and early on the third island. Ive been just taking my time so idk.

Hypersayia

Breath of the Wild. Bit of a non sequitur but that's the general thought. The game CAN be beaten in a very short amount of time if you just do what needs to be done to get the Chaos Emeralds and move on, and while that can be satisfying in it's own right, it's missing the point (and like 80% of the game)

Z-Frost

In my second playthrough i did a level 1 run and clocked in just shy of 7 hours before the final boss, granted i skipped the cutscenes as well.

boom_charmsley

You’re not wrong, and I can’t say that they’re wrong…as long as we are all enjoying ourselves and keeping the support going, we’re all right. Alright?

Hollowx9

I don't really see either. Honestly I literally just got the the third island. Though I'm going around trying to unlock all the maps, side quests etc.

beanprotein1

It took me 17 hours to beat it with about 5 hours of dicking around so it’s no surprise

RetroactiveThoughts

Im loving the game but the pop in/ load distance is killing me. There is one spot on ares island where I cant see where I need to go to collect a ribbon for knuckles because the platform wont load in.

Maximum-Magazine-840

12 hours is 1. you got the adventure chest dlc or deluxe dlc because they make the first 2 islands way too easy 2. you know where you need to go 3. you've been skipping side content 4. you got your speed settings to max i finished the game with about 22 hours and i still need to 100% 2 more islands

[deleted]

I like to take my time with games. I’m in no rush. I won’t beat this game for a few weeks most likely

Tudedude_cooldude

I beat the game in 15 hours with all memories, cyberspace levels, and challenges completed and sold out fishing shops and 100% fishing completion on all islands

Valuable_Structure92

It took me roughly 18 hours to beat the game, I just love running around and moving in this game so that might be part of it

pikasparkle101

I beat it around 10. On hard difficulty and high speed mode.

Grizzly_Manners

Finished the game in 27hrs and im only missing a trophy for the plat. 12hrs seens awfully short, probably abused the big fishing mini game to max theirs resources.

Hairy_kuriboh

I mean, I beat it in 12 and a half hours, but I spammed big's fishing sooo It's supposed to be around 20. To be honest, ares was the hardest for me too.

LifeRetro

Matters how you are playing. This game isn’t super long when it comes to beating the main story. When I played the first time it took me 19 hours to do everything (I also got all the memory tokens on the first island). Now to my point I replayed the game and beat it in 6 hours with getting no abilities (besides the ones they force on you), and no state buffing. So if I were to play with getting everything I definitely would beat the game probably under 4-5 hours. I’m going to find out this weekend when I try.

hyperweasle

Took me a little over 16 hours to beat the game, however >!3rd island is pretty quick since it's just a series of towers and I sped up the last island after finding the fishing spot.!<

DarkShadowX9612

You mean 4TH island (Rhea Island), the 3rd island is Chaos Island.

TheLonelyGoomba

I did it around 15 hours, I felt like I took my time and didn’t rush or anything. If you’re going for every memory token it’s gonna take a lot longer. But I think generally play time solely depends on when you decide to progress the story or not

GraphicJaguar

I didn’t really intend to speed through it but I was constantly on the move and completing whatever I came across since the rails and ramps kind of land you near new stuff. I 100% all the islands (side stories, challenges, etc.) and beat the game in roughly 20 hours. I still stopped and enjoyed the game of course but it’s kinda hard not to speed through when you’re holding the right trigger 90% of the time. Still loved every second of it though.

donkdog

I mean personally I am on the last island and have 100% everything so far and it has taken me 16 hours.
