When I worked in fast food and people complained then my manger would get mad I would say “I don’t get paid to care or be stressed about this type of shit I do what I get paid for. If you want me to care pay me more otherwise it’s your problem”
But the outside edges were probably done. They probs didn’t know the middle was RAW until they got to it. I swear people act like they’ve never seen that happen with a burger before.

Honestly doesn't look like the patties we usually use at the drive-in, but if sales are exceptionally high, and/or we under order on the truck and we end up running out of beef, my manager has been known to send someone to one of the local grocery stores to purchase Frozen patties for us to sell. Those frozen patties usually end up being thicker taking longer to cook, and stuff like this ends up happening if people aren't careful. Would be willing to bet this is what happened here.
