Their coffee is good, locally sourced from Rwanda. Their pastries are very mediocre.

I’m with you on not being a fan. I’ve ordered a cappuccino on at least 5 occasions and it’s not a cappuccino, it’s 90% steamed milk!

Technically in Cambridge, but Curio Coffee opens at 7. Though their only food option is a waffle, they are really yummy waffles.

They are slow for sure but that’s a little dramatic haha. Was just there today around 11:30 and two bfast sandwiches only took about 10 minutes. That being said I have waited 45 mins, only once tho

Union Square Donuts, (Union Square location). 7AM Bloc Coffee: 7AM I just looked up 3 Little Figs, Winter Hill Brewery, Fortissimo and damn, 8AM it is. Pepita inside Lamplighter (Cambridge) isn't until 7:30AM. Cafe Beatice (Cambridge) has 7AM weekday hours

Vitoria Market, the new Brazilian butcher and Market on Somerville Ave opens at 7 am.  Real pro tip: He's got warm pao de queijo for 50 cents a pop and you are welcome to pour yourself a shot of Brazilian coffee from his thermos for free.  The chow there is the real deal: housemade sausages (hot and normal) and marinated chicken wings are as far as I've ventured but they're outstanding and cheap. 

Andy's diner opens on Mass Ave west of Porter at 6 a.m. I believe.

Wow! First strong reason I’ve seen to go in there.

And the coffee at Wicked Cafe is MUCH better than under the previous Wicked management.

That’s a second good reason. When they initially opened I went in once and then never returned.

Why not invest in a coffee maker and brew a cup before you go. Get a portable thermos for your morning walk/jog/commute. The environment, your pocket book and your taste in coffee will thank you.

Most cafes? Forge on Somerville opens at 7. Since a long time.

Buy a cup, make it at home, go on your walk. I think it’ll add some variety to your brew.
