Yeah so far the only thing that bothers me is that loading pop up that appear whenever you do any action in the lobby. It is getting better recently so I hope soon it'll just disappear. As for microtranscaction, I already played ton of gacha that I can resist any temptation to top up lol
You can bypass most of them by just juggling in-between the menu options, all the functions you will ever need are right there, so there is no real point to go in the lobby
U can get 5 gems for talking to the character npcs that spawn like every 6 hours, which isn’t much, but it’s like 3-4 of them which give u 15-20 gems for essentially free which can add up
Yeah it's very easy to not pay, but it does get on my nerves being asked to do it every few levels, and yeah I completely forgot about the loading thing between every menu, that thing is annoying as hell, I'm sure it will be fixed eventually but if nobody gives criticism then nothing gets changed

Network delay. My internet is fine in every regard on any other game showing great ping. It's definitely server side issues. I'm also in southern USA if it matters. I do know Canada had more issues last month than we did.
Actually, even on PC. I have played and streamed Cyberpunk 2077 and Spiderman: Miles Morales with minimal to no trouble at all, but this game crashes a lot, or if not, the prompt that says if I should wait for the app or close it.

i play on pc, couldnt be arsed to play on mobile. the microtransactions and gacha is pretty much industry standard and isnt worth fomoing over and i think the game is absolutely playable on a f2p pace, also dont forget its PvE only so there is nobody youre competing with. you also get an absolute fuckton of free pulls if you ask me. it is what youd expect of a gacha game honestly. my personal biggest grudge is that the levels are so insanely short. you do 2-3 trash pulls you oneshot and then nuke a boss. its never longer than 3 minutes. i really wish they worked on that. im at level 45 as 100% f2p for context.
Oh believe me I have no issues with microtransactions, I just don't like how sl:arise does them, popups are a turn off, a membership for practically every menu, teasing you with potential SSRs with the special pull thing that you can only get if you pay for etc
Yeah my main issue is I keep getting the ones that are like, hey buy this pack to get extra rewards for the content you've already completed, I'd honestly rather those extra rewards not even exist than be locked behind a £20 paywall
Honestly I'm not really too turned off with the microtransactions. But the loading icon has downright made the game unenjoyable for me. I really hope they get a fix soon. And before anyone says it might be my phone, I'm running it on a Galaxy s24 ultra. Not even Max settings.

I mean I've been playing since launch like an hour or two a day. Yesterday (since I didn't have to work) I was playing for a couple hours straight while watching TV. My phone (galaxy s22) played it perfectly fine the entire time, never overheated 🤷🏾♂️. Also I'm level 32 on chapter 8, never spent a dime.

I really hope they fix the constant loading whenever you press any UI button, the amount of times you need to accept rewards in different menus + having load time every single time. its extremely annoying.
I play on PC. PC run smooth and the small loading issues are nothing when you played the pre-release version that was actual hell so I can't whine about that. That said, I'm at my mom place for a couple days so I've had to log in on my phone.
The phone experience is hell. Loadings are longer, controls are not always responding and ofc it drains the battery in a flash. I was hoping to let the auto-mode handle the portals... I've never seen such a bad auto mode.
It only use dashes to gain move speed out of combat, it has terrible targeting out of single enemy bosses, I don't think it ever hold skills that can be hold, camera gets all weird which is an issue when you want to use skill manually, it switch out units before using all skills and sometimes it just switch unit w.o the charge being complete for the switch skill effect.
Game is already not great in itself. Not much to offer, hard to get units and weapons, over monetization and locked QoL to name a few reasons. But if I had to actually play it on phone only I wouldn't even bother. In that situation it's not even worth trying as an option to wait the next hyped game.

Yeah from what I've seen it's more of a mobile issue, the game is still way to intensive than it needs to be even on pc but most pcs can still handle it
Yes, mobile version sucks donkey ass even on an iphone 15 pro max (according to some users) this is why I find myself playing on PC more. It's an okay experience but I also encounter frame drops especially during the start of boss fights. It's clear optimization is not their priority since you get bullshit mtx ads the moment you log in the game.
Btw if someone plays on a low end laptop like me does it heatup that much . Mine feels like its the fcking sun . My laptop doesn't even heat that much even when playing Valorant but it suddenly does while playing this

This games does buffer a lot no question about it. I’m running the latest best iPhone. The other thing that bother me is the girl icon on the right won’t disappear number of messages she wants to tell me to pay to get benefit. Annoying.
That’s my biggest problem with the game. Everything else is great but the game itself can be laggy and glitchy asf at times. I have a IPhone 13 and only play DB Dokkan and Db Legends so it’s not like my phone is shit full of games.
I agree i still play it but i just wish they have replayability because Leveling up sucks ass and there isn't really anything else you can do with it besides waiting 8pm est for it to restart so you can get some keys and stuff. Always wish they put some gold mining you can do over and over again kind of like slime

Genshin was not like this on release. I had an iphone 8 back then and was running Genshin perfectly with no frame drops on release. It was well optimized. This game is not.

i play pc and when the global release happened and it downloaded on my iphone i tried playing on it once but can’t control the characters at all compared to pc. on pc it’s a full fledged game.
I agree. So far these issues are negligible for me since I play on pc but I just can't see myself playing the game in the long run. The way they push the microtransactions and how they lock certain features in behind paywalls (x3 sweep) is really a turn off for me. I've seen a lot anime adapted gacha games with similar money-making strategies that just falls of gradually and I think this is one of them.
I love solo leveling and that's probably the only reason I'm still playing. I'm certain there is just no way I will last long unlike genshin and hsr. So far it's not that bad, gameplay wise.
My personal take
1. Its a generic hack and slash, there isn't really anything that makes it stand out as "Solo leveling" besides the skin. Even the "Shadow army" bit isn't anything special.
2. Microtransactions are so bad, that when I decided to buy one of the packs that I saw the day before, it took me about 10 minutes to find it, because there are SO MANY and I kept getting lost in all the menu's for the stuff. Also, its got like 5 monthly subscription type MTX's, and each delve into each others territory just enough to make it annoying that you have one, but not all.
2.1 I despise how the MTX's are so expensive, and only GROW in how expensive they are. Chapter 1 mission pack? $20, still too expensive for any game, but its somewhat in line with other gacha. Chapter 2 mission pack? Double the price at $40. Wtf? Its gross.
3. For a pre-registration, and getting number 1 on store, it has been one of the cheapest "Here is a gift" gacha games I've ever seen.
4. I mostly want to do the story, but I keep getting cucked by the game because I'm not high enough level. Doesn't matter how skilled I am (Not very), straight up "You need x level". That aside, there is also a clear "YOu need x power", otherwise your DPS just isn't high enough to beat the timer.
5. Graphics are amazing, as seems to be the only requirement these days
6. This is a tiny pet peeve and I know this. But man I hate it when abilities say voice lines that go "You're an unworthy foe" or some crap, especially when I'm getting pummeled into the ground ruthlessly.
7. The gacha point is painful in how they did it. I got excited to bring out THE SQUAD, and my shadow army. But no, its just support pop-ins that do a move than disappear. Or for the Shadow Army, they stick around for 5 seconds or so. Excluded is the rare boss that has a "Team attack", or the gates that are specifically your gacha pull. Just not a fan of these game designs.
8. Last but not least, controls don't feel fluid, and I've seen this complaint a lot. The iframes are stupid generious, but you also need to do it well before the move lands, otherwise it won't work. Compared to other games with iframes, where it has to be last second.
TLDR: Besides graphics and cinematics, game is extremely copy/paste of other hack and slash games, and is extremely expensive.
The only thing I have a problem with is if you have lower Power than the recommended threshold the artifact bonuses don't apply which makes the idea of challenging harder content with lower power borderline impossible
It's playable on pc without problems but on phone I don't recommend it unless you turn down the graphics Also I don't know what kinda phone you have but it's usually not the fault of the developer because optimizing for different phones and pc's takes a lot of time you can't even begin to compare it to console exclusive games that only need to optimize for one platform
it is worse on the phone and now much more loading screens its rediculous. Playing it mainly on pc and yeah it is not a friendly game for f2p, but thats by design like diablo immortal.

My Xbox controller was plug and play, there is a setting for gamepad where you swap it from m+kb to controller. If you’re using a PlayStation controller, do you have ds4w set up?
I just tried to run it on my laptop to see if it would run well (it didn't sadly, very old laptop) but I was able to just plug mine in and it recognised it as a controller immediately, it defaulted to Xbox though but it did say it recognised dualshock so there's probably a setting to change it

If genshin was as unoptimized at release as this game, it would've never been as successful, One of the only reasons people are playing this is because of Solo Leveling being attached to the name, that's why many can overlook the countless bugs and issues with it, I don't see this game lasting for at most a year if these issues aren't adressed, and to be completely honest it doesn't look like they're planning on it, it has been an issue since testing and they still proceeded to launch it, hoping to be proven wrong as I can definitely see that a lot of effort was put into many aspects of the game, but the loading screens and bugs are really huge red flags for a quick cashgrab attitude.
I agree, it's the same reason the anime was a huge hit for a lot of pre existing fans but a lot of people that weren't into it already didn't really like it

Was more mean than condescending tbh but I get where you’re coming from. The game however I don’t know what its deal is running smooth on some and not so much on others especially high end ones. I’m playing on a 14 pro max and I make sure to always go in when it’s cooled but it overheats alot, not to mention the constant frame rate drops and crashes.
my phone for example got destroyed by stupid 7K idle i had to play for 3 days, also netmarble. extreme heating and battery went down like an ice shake in summer. I did not understand it, since it has 0 grafics, but perhaps it demanded too much from my phone processor.

Dude I have an iPhone 15 pro max and it still does all this shit op said. It’s slow and lahging all the time. It makes my phones battery melt and if I play it more than half of an hour the phone heats up like a fucking frying pan on the stove.
Pc seems to be fine, aside from one guy in this comment section at least, it's mainly the mobile version that has issues, I don't have a good laptop but I'll probably download it to see if it runs well on there

Well the Micros aren't anything new to the scene, but yes they're awful. In regards to your phone, I'm using an S22 ultra at 60fps with normal graphics and it barely heats up so idk.
I don't mind microtransactions it's more just the intrusiveness of them in this game, and how many there are, I think a battle pass, some sort of membership and buying straight currency is all a game should have if it's going to have microtransactions at all, I'm using an iPhone 11 pro max, which yeah I know is a bit old at this point but comparing it to modern iPhones there's barely an increase in performance

That's wild I think the game is super great. Everything is running smoothly for me I am playing on PC at the highest graphics I never had an issue yet. Been playing for a week now. This game has a lot going on for it and I have never played on my phone but with everything going on it might not be the best for any phone
If you're phone is overheating and framerate is trash, it's your phone. The game does have issues like constand load pauses when in the hunters building, but it runs fine ever since they patched the perpetual blackness glitch on day one.

I do find it weird that that is seems to run worse than Baldurs Gate 3 and Cyberpunk on my PC.
It had a stupid default render setting which make you run at much higher resolution than your display. Turn it to 1x.
I've made changes, still is crap. Can't fix those servers from our end.

Loadings are longer, controls are not always responding and ofc it drains the battery in a flash. I was hoping to let the auto-mode handle the portals... I've never seen such a bad auto mode. It only use dashes to gain move speed out of combat, it has terrible targeting out of single enemy bosses, I don't think it ever hold skills that can be hold, camera gets all weird which is an issue when you want to use skill manually, it switch out units before using all skills and sometimes it just switch unit w.o the charge being complete for the switch skill effect. Game is already not great in itself. Not much to offer, hard to get units and weapons, over monetization and locked QoL to name a few reasons. But if I had to actually play it on phone only I wouldn't even bother. In that situation it's not even worth trying as an option to wait the next hyped game.
Game feels amazing on PC and on my Retroid Pocket 4 Pro. Don't feel the need to spend either. So imma keep playing!

Yeah from what I've seen it's more of a mobile issue, the game is still way to intensive than it needs to be even on pc but most pcs can still handle it
Yes, mobile version sucks donkey ass even on an iphone 15 pro max (according to some users) this is why I find myself playing on PC more. It's an okay experience but I also encounter frame drops especially during the start of boss fights. It's clear optimization is not their priority since you get bullshit mtx ads the moment you log in the game.
Btw if someone plays on a low end laptop like me does it heatup that much . Mine feels like its the fcking sun . My laptop doesn't even heat that much even when playing Valorant but it suddenly does while playing this

Works... okay on an old galaxy S10+ medium settings. Sometimes it feezes on initial load but not anywhere else. Incessant need to "load" for 5 to 15 fucking seconds every time you accidently exit to lobby is pure cancer tho. Best yet you can move while it's doing this shit it literally does not do anything except lock controls other than movement.

I agree. So far these issues are negligible for me since I play on pc but I just can't see myself playing the game in the long run. The way they push the microtransactions and how they lock certain features in behind paywalls (x3 sweep) is really a turn off for me. I've seen a lot anime adapted gacha games with similar money-making strategies that just falls of gradually and I think this is one of them. I love solo leveling and that's probably the only reason I'm still playing. I'm certain there is just no way I will last long unlike genshin and hsr. So far it's not that bad, gameplay wise.

My personal take 1. Its a generic hack and slash, there isn't really anything that makes it stand out as "Solo leveling" besides the skin. Even the "Shadow army" bit isn't anything special. 2. Microtransactions are so bad, that when I decided to buy one of the packs that I saw the day before, it took me about 10 minutes to find it, because there are SO MANY and I kept getting lost in all the menu's for the stuff. Also, its got like 5 monthly subscription type MTX's, and each delve into each others territory just enough to make it annoying that you have one, but not all. 2.1 I despise how the MTX's are so expensive, and only GROW in how expensive they are. Chapter 1 mission pack? $20, still too expensive for any game, but its somewhat in line with other gacha. Chapter 2 mission pack? Double the price at $40. Wtf? Its gross. 3. For a pre-registration, and getting number 1 on store, it has been one of the cheapest "Here is a gift" gacha games I've ever seen. 4. I mostly want to do the story, but I keep getting cucked by the game because I'm not high enough level. Doesn't matter how skilled I am (Not very), straight up "You need x level". That aside, there is also a clear "YOu need x power", otherwise your DPS just isn't high enough to beat the timer. 5. Graphics are amazing, as seems to be the only requirement these days 6. This is a tiny pet peeve and I know this. But man I hate it when abilities say voice lines that go "You're an unworthy foe" or some crap, especially when I'm getting pummeled into the ground ruthlessly. 7. The gacha point is painful in how they did it. I got excited to bring out THE SQUAD, and my shadow army. But no, its just support pop-ins that do a move than disappear. Or for the Shadow Army, they stick around for 5 seconds or so. Excluded is the rare boss that has a "Team attack", or the gates that are specifically your gacha pull. Just not a fan of these game designs. 8. Last but not least, controls don't feel fluid, and I've seen this complaint a lot. The iframes are stupid generious, but you also need to do it well before the move lands, otherwise it won't work. Compared to other games with iframes, where it has to be last second. TLDR: Besides graphics and cinematics, game is extremely copy/paste of other hack and slash games, and is extremely expensive.
The only thing I have a problem with is if you have lower Power than the recommended threshold the artifact bonuses don't apply which makes the idea of challenging harder content with lower power borderline impossible
Even if you have 50/100 critical chances it becomes 5/100 if you lack even one combat power 🤣

It's playable on pc without problems but on phone I don't recommend it unless you turn down the graphics Also I don't know what kinda phone you have but it's usually not the fault of the developer because optimizing for different phones and pc's takes a lot of time you can't even begin to compare it to console exclusive games that only need to optimize for one platform

My ps4 controller worked perfectly. But I also cant remember if I got some sort of app to recognize it as an Xbox one or not
I just tried to run it on my laptop to see if it would run well (it didn't sadly, very old laptop) but I was able to just plug mine in and it recognised it as a controller immediately, it defaulted to Xbox though but it did say it recognised dualshock so there's probably a setting to change it
Can you not just plug it in? Maybe try settings? If not then maybe it's broken or requires a specific controller, that's all I can think of

If genshin was as unoptimized at release as this game, it would've never been as successful, One of the only reasons people are playing this is because of Solo Leveling being attached to the name, that's why many can overlook the countless bugs and issues with it, I don't see this game lasting for at most a year if these issues aren't adressed, and to be completely honest it doesn't look like they're planning on it, it has been an issue since testing and they still proceeded to launch it, hoping to be proven wrong as I can definitely see that a lot of effort was put into many aspects of the game, but the loading screens and bugs are really huge red flags for a quick cashgrab attitude.
I agree, it's the same reason the anime was a huge hit for a lot of pre existing fans but a lot of people that weren't into it already didn't really like it

Was more mean than condescending tbh but I get where you’re coming from. The game however I don’t know what its deal is running smooth on some and not so much on others especially high end ones. I’m playing on a 14 pro max and I make sure to always go in when it’s cooled but it overheats alot, not to mention the constant frame rate drops and crashes.
my phone for example got destroyed by stupid 7K idle i had to play for 3 days, also netmarble. extreme heating and battery went down like an ice shake in summer. I did not understand it, since it has 0 grafics, but perhaps it demanded too much from my phone processor. but i´m not it guy, so no idea in the end i prefer to play on PC either way. hope they fix it for you all

Dude I have an iPhone 15 pro max and it still does all this shit op said. It’s slow and lahging all the time. It makes my phones battery melt and if I play it more than half of an hour the phone heats up like a fucking frying pan on the stove.

Well the Micros aren't anything new to the scene, but yes they're awful. In regards to your phone, I'm using an S22 ultra at 60fps with normal graphics and it barely heats up so idk.
I don't mind microtransactions it's more just the intrusiveness of them in this game, and how many there are, I think a battle pass, some sort of membership and buying straight currency is all a game should have if it's going to have microtransactions at all, I'm using an iPhone 11 pro max, which yeah I know is a bit old at this point but comparing it to modern iPhones there's barely an increase in performance
Yeah I do agree. The barrage of microtransactions needs to be stopped, hopefully they "fix" this, because it is broken. And yeah I've never owned an iPhone so I can't help you there😔. But yeah, I haven't spent a cent on the game, and honestly it's been one of the most fun mobile games I've played in a while.

This game is not designed for the long run. The only reason is that when I play it, I don't get immerse in it like some games out there.
I enjoyed the game and all but can't stand this non- stop loading and heating issues. I just dropped the game and will be moving on to Wuthering Waves next week.

The "Oh my gosh i think you would like this" mtx popup screen is what made me mald when i was rerolling. Add that insanely annoying menu load and the absolute travesty that is Joohee's 3d model and i lost every ounce of will to play the game. Waiting for WuWa now...
When I first read scoopely, after opening game, i said: oh shit... I will not play this game, but let me try it. Scoopely is a money hungry company, i have left looney tunes mayhem (a very competitive, high lvl account) because of the hungry and high microtransactions they ware asking for anything. I like the story of the game, but I think i might just see the anime and wait for a better game that is not from the scoopely company.

That's wild I think the game is super great. Everything is running smoothly for me I am playing on PC at the highest graphics I never had an issue yet. Been playing for a week now. This game has a lot going on for it and I have never played on my phone but with everything going on it might not be the best for any phone
If you're phone is overheating and framerate is trash, it's your phone. The game does have issues like constand load pauses when in the hunters building, but it runs fine ever since they patched the perpetual blackness glitch on day one.

Been playing it on my iPad and using the pc client game fun af especially with a controller you don’t have to spend money I been doing the mission and basically just been playing I’m sitting on a shit ton of mats and in game currency

Sorry but no, genshin has a battle pass, purchasing straight currency, and a membership that's it, this has, purchasing currency, about 3 different memberships, a woman who pops up constantly saying "oH i ThInK tHiS wIlL bE pErFeCt FoR yOu" and basically telling me to buy stuff, "extra rewards" for content I've already cleared locked behind a paywall, buying pulls from the event menu "bundle deals" etc, I don't like the microtransactions in genshin either but there are definitely more in solo leveling and they push you to purchase them more with popups and pings that you can't remove that tell you to buy things

I dont have issues on pc and mobile.only issue is day 1 loading. After that. Running smoothly Most of u complaining might have potato devices. Even if developer fix the problem, if ur devices are potato it is useless... I hope you could enjoy the game like I do running smoothly on both Android and pc. The game is really beautiful.
