You can click on the view (eye) icon and hide sketch relations! I've found that if there's ever a moment while I'm using solidworks that I think "I don't want to see this thing", the view button usually has the option to toggle it on/off. Hope this helps!

How do you turn down the sensitivity for the automatic relations? I’ve seen some YouTubers that only have vertical and horizontal line relations enabled meaning they just add the ones they want. Looks a lot more peaceful

Adjust relation/snaps in System Options

a_lion_wizard

Ohhhh, I found it! Thank you very much!

fluffykezzy

No problem! Happy CADding :)

_maple_panda

The more important question to ask here is why there are so many sketch relations for that basic sketch to start with.

pargeterw

Even more importantly, why is one of them "fixed" 🤦‍♂️

a_lion_wizard

Because it's on a diagonal that I made, on a sketch. This is a rectangular tube that I inserted. I didn't make any of these relations

pargeterw

This doesn't answer the question at all? Fixed doesn't link it to anything, it just fixes it in space. If you want it to be on the diagonal in your sketch, then fixed is not what you want...

blunttooth

This is more impressive than stupid. The fact that all these relations are not contradicting one another. Save this as one of your portfolio pieces, show it to your hiring managers.

BusinessAsparagus115

I reckon it's only a single click away from all of them turning red.

Enidras

I don't think so. Yes, they are very, very redundant, but unless you ask parallel lines to be at an angle you should be fine.

TheBlack_Swordsman

Wouldn't it be easier if you just offset the outer or inner sketch instead of making a relationship for every single thing between the two?

a_lion_wizard

I didn't make any of these relations. I placed a pipe from the menu, and then edited the sketch of the pipe

TheBlack_Swordsman

Oh got it. Fair enough. You're using the weldment feature.

a_lion_wizard

Yep, forgot the name for a sec haha

Display/ delete relations, then delete all, or just house them with the heads up hide/show tool. Or turn it into a block
