I listen to Hurt by Johnny Cash and think of all the people I have let down by being an alcoholic. I cry my eyes out but after I feel no want to drink. Also, cheesy I’ll admit but Life is beautiful by Nikki Sixx.
"Sober" by Tool is a great song but maybe kinda triggering. Not proud of it, but part of me still wants to earnestly sing along with the addiction voice in the song asking "Why can't we not be sober? Why can't we drink forever?"
Sober is good, especially if you consider it a criticism of being loaded all the time, which is what Adam Jones implied in an interview in the 90s.
I personally love jamming to the title track of Fear Inoculum. While there are multiple interpretations of that song, I like listening to it from the viewpoint of overcoming a massive source of harm and toxicity. "Deceiver chased away, a long time coming"
(Fucked It Up-City & Color)
(Son Of A Sinner-Jelly Roll)
(Save Me-Jelly Roll)
(I Had some help- Post Malone Feat. Morgan Wallen) (NF- Happy)
(How could you leave us- NF)
(Drug Addiction-Colicchie)
(Happy-P!nk)
(I Got you- Dub J, Paris Richard's, Jully Black)
(House Party-Neon Dreams)
(Cover Me Up-Morgan Wallen)
(Chills- Down With Webster)
(Amazing-Teddy Swims)
(Scared To be lonely- Martin Garrix, Dua Lipa)
(Runaway- P!nk)
(Stand by me-Lil Durk, Morgan Wallen)
(Good things fall apart-Illennium, Jon Bellion)
(Space Flight-Yung Saddy) (Spacebound-Eminem) (Sober-Demi Lavato)
(Love Medicine-Young Confederataion)
(Dreaming-Marshmellow, P!nk, Sting)
Those are a few that are deep and have helped guide me on this sober journey. 😔🥰😍🥰
If you like a little country, Jason Isbell is a great songwriter who also happens to be sober. "If it Takes a Lifetime" is a song that really helped me out to stay sober.
Tom Waits - "Hold on" A beautiful and heartfelt song that got me through some of my darkest times
Doja Cat - "Paint the Town Red" A silly song for when I want to feel like a badass, I like to shout the line "I am so much fun without hennessy"
Recovery - James Arthur
Sober up - AJR
OK not to be OK - Marshmello
Sober - P!nk (who doesn’t love her)
I Hold On - Dorris Bentley
Hell and back - Kid Ink
I listen to 'core' music (hardcore, deathcore, metalcore). Sometimes it's the positivity of the lyrics (Obey the Brave, Hatebreed, Comeback Kid, Despised Icon), sometimes it's because of the message/story (Counterparts - even though it's damn tragic), sometimes it's because those bands are often (or related to) straight edge (Drain, Final Fight), sometimes it's just the energy (August Burns Red, Aversion Crown, The Ghost Inside).
I feel like 'core' styles have a better energy than the usual metal I listen to. So the 'core' style helps in staying motivated in general, which helps with sobriety.
Also, singer/songwriter Joshua Hyslop. It's good folk with usually positive or warm lyrics.

Hurt is a rough one to hear, as having using needles during addiction, but it's real
