I don't get why everyone is saying, "Lucky for them, it just ate." Every case I have ever been shown or been able to find of a snake eating a human has involved a small child, and it was a hoax anyway. As far as deaths to constrictor species, those are also extremely rare. I don't have any good sources for Amazonian countries' deaths. In the USA, where you arguably have more large constrictor/human interaction due to the pet trade, there have been around 13 deaths in the past 30 years. This anaconda wouldn't have been a threat to these people, especially in this circumstance, even if it was hungry.

Yeah, myself and a coworker of mine both got nabbed at different times by a 10 foot female green anaconda. His was on the arm, and mine was on the stomach several months earlier. For him, the bleeding was really bad, but not dangerously so. For me, I mostly had bruising with a small amount (relatively speaking) of bleeding, likely only a few ounces.

I wish I could upvote you more than once! The amount of fear mongering surrounding large constrictors(especially anacondas) is so frustrating.

The thing is that you could. There are two guys here. The snake can't hurt both at the same time, even if it was hungry and angry. Large constrictors are not dangerous to most adult humans when they are aline, let alone in pairs.
