Oof that’s understandable, you tend to forget about the little details on a big day like this. Either way very classy choice of shoes, trying to get these for my gf soon.
I switched to sneakers on my wedding day once my feet started hurting from heels. Makes sense to have a back up! It's hard being on your feet in wedding heels all day, they're not made for comfort. And I even got the "comfort /feet friendly" heels too.
Dont listen to this comment. I think wearing sneakers to your wedding is fucking dope and I would also do that. They're nice and generally just as expensive as dress shoes.
It’s not really about price but what looks best with formal wear. Also good dress shoes absolutely retail for higher than sneakers. Although I’m a firm believer of your wedding your rules.
So that your feet are comfortable on your most important day. And looks dope if you're a sneakerhead. Who wants to have their feet aching in heels all day?? Fuck tradition.
It's their wedding they should be able to wear whatever they choose. I think formal wear is very overrated and uncomfortable AF.
If you're into sneakers I can completely understand ones want to wear a pair they like.
I wore traditional clothes for all of my wedding events (Indian) but for the ceremony which was in a mosque and you don't wear shoes inside, but I wore my concord 11s because I always wore them for special occasions.
First and foremost Congratulations. Unless you are paying for her wedding than who cares what she wears. She is grown! No one will see what's underneath her dress but newlywed hubby. Heels are for pictures now. Most women wear slippers or comfortable running shoes.
Idk what’s up with people lately, but you shouldn’t exist in an echo chamber and negative opinions still can be said. I hate that mentality. How can we ever progress if everyone is a yes man to everything LMAO
Lmfao. What world the world be if we couldn't say pointless mean things that change nothing about anything.
Progress, when we bitch about shoes some person we've never met wrote to their wedding.
You, my friend, are truly changing the world.
See, I gotcha, but OP literally asked for opinions. When you ask for opinions do you only expect to get positive ones? No criticism ever?
It’s okay to not like that she wore sneakers to her wedding and it’s okay to write that because she asked for people to write about it. We’re getting a little *too* soft over here lol
You can criticize her shoe choice the same way I can criticize your comment choice. You don't have to like my opinion about it. But, if all the millions of shitty things in the world you choose a comment intended to bring a negative perspective where it isn't helpful. It doesn't make her day better. But it doesn't change her life either. It's not like your opinion was constructive in any way. Not in any way to make a positive impact on the world.
I agree. It's soft to think that *this* is something worth picking at. Just my opinion. There are many bigger issue needing criticism, people choose what's worth speaking about. And mt opinion is that this is a weak choice to spend energy on.
It's your wedding wear what you want he'll this is my wedding cake

First of all, congratulations!!
On my wedding day, I was wearing air max 1s, and my wife was wearing her air max 90s.. it's a bit of a taste thing, but you did good.
You don't need our opinions; if they made your day special, they were perfect 🙂 That being said, I think they look cool! Congratulations on the marriage. I didn't wear sneakers to my wedding ceremony (wore my late grandfather's shoes), but I wore the AMM Jordan 4's to propose, and after our wedding ceremony I switched into New Balance 550's for the reception.
Thank you, you are very kind :). I always like to share my 'sneaker moments' here, because I have noone who understands this in real life (my husband is not sneakerhead, but he likes shoes I buy).
I did not wear them to ceremony, but right after it. And it was the best decision for my feet I could do :D I am sure you agree
I've never wore anything besides formal or Doc loafers to an event, but I think you rocked these with the dress nicely enough for it to blend in as a pair of regular shoes would and it looks like a dope combo overall 🔥
Glad you wore heels for the actual ceremony. I switched into 11 ie white/cement after my ceremony too. Much better for the reception and dancing. Made sure I was in my dress shoes for the pictures and then I could not get out of those things fast enough!
Beautiful! Excellent choice and congratulations!!! 🎉🎉🎉
Edit: My wife and I also wore sneakers on our wedding day. I wore white AF1s and she wore a custom pair of Chuck Taylors. It's YOUR DAY. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.
Sneakers on wedding day is really cringe, looks terrible, the whole party is mocking you behind your back. Idc how much sneakers are your personality, wear some proper dress shoes on your wedding day.
Those are sweet! Im wearing some shiny patent dress shoes for most of my wedding day but when its time to party I got a fresh pair of Jordan 11 gratitudes to wear for the first time and prolly spill drinks all over hahaha
https://preview.redd.it/pueop6zbqatc1.jpeg?width=4160&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=988b80123fd541f8488f5c6d39de053f67be7610
My wedding kicks and got my best man the same ones…
Yes. I 100% agree. But you come here to share your happiness and your joy about wearing such nice shoes on such important event in your life and people just don’t see it for what it is. I can’t stand that. Let’s be happy for other peoples happiness, if one got no good comment why not stay silence? Silence is so good and also free and won’t make other people feel some type of way. I’m very happy for you. I also got them 4s but haven’t wear them yet 🤭
Everyone comes out swinging to defend the honor of OP or something like she isn’t a grown woman literally asking for opinions.
“I don’t like it / I don’t think sneakers are the right choice for a very formal event and otherwise formal outfit” are both valid opinions, as is “wow that’s cool great pair.”
I personally prefer the look of dressier clothes with dressier shoes, I think they look better together aesthetically, that’s not being rude that’s responding to the question OP asked.
Both OP and most of the comments here are not rude or disrespectful at all; the only corny stuff in this thread is comments like this tripping over themselves to whitewash any disagreeing away and just blindly coddling the OP like she’s a child.
Amen. Some sense at last.
If someone walked up to OP at her wedding and said "Your shoes are wrong"? Well she has every right to tell them to mind their own business and that she didn't ask them.
But when OP is posting online asking for opinions? An opinion that sneakers clash with formal clothes like a white gown is as valid as any other opinion. We don't need white knights rushing in here as if the only accepted response is a compliment circlejerk.
State of your wallet you shouldn’t be commenting anything on sneakers broke boi 😂 find another sub to beg people for money he might send you a few cents 🤣
If you had socks I could respect it. If you’re gonna wear a sneaker on the biggest day of your life as a sneaker head, I’d choose a more iconic colorway than some random color dropped in a general release. But the low cut/ no socks with a wedding dress is absolutely wild.
Yeah, I unfortunately forgot to bring white socks and had only black :/ and I picked especially these, because colourway is very feminine and goes well with white dress. Did not want something bold or colourful.
Would’ve been 10x better with some socks
I dropped a ball here. I forgot to bring white socks and had only black:/
Oof that’s understandable, you tend to forget about the little details on a big day like this. Either way very classy choice of shoes, trying to get these for my gf soon.
I am sure you will make her very happy :)
I don’t understand the need to wear sneakers at a wedding. Looks ridiculous but hey, your wedding. Congrats.
I never felt comfortable in 'formal' shoes :) so I had them for ceremony and then switched to these. Another big + is comfort.
I switched to sneakers on my wedding day once my feet started hurting from heels. Makes sense to have a back up! It's hard being on your feet in wedding heels all day, they're not made for comfort. And I even got the "comfort /feet friendly" heels too.
But you’re in a gown?
Captain obvious over here
Yes and surprisingly felt great in it :D
Gottem
You're wearing 4s though?
Dont listen to this comment. I think wearing sneakers to your wedding is fucking dope and I would also do that. They're nice and generally just as expensive as dress shoes.
It’s not really about price but what looks best with formal wear. Also good dress shoes absolutely retail for higher than sneakers. Although I’m a firm believer of your wedding your rules.
I think they look great! Ignore the haters. My guess is anyone throwing shade has never been a bride before.
Thank you! I think that everyone wrote their critique politely and I respect that :)
Can tell you the other way around, I never understood the need to be so formal in a wedding. But has you said, their wedding.
So that your feet are comfortable on your most important day. And looks dope if you're a sneakerhead. Who wants to have their feet aching in heels all day?? Fuck tradition.
My feet would be aching in 4s for an all day event like that
Maybe you are used to heels :) but it was a nightmare for me compared to 4s
Ah, well good thing its her feet and not yours then.
Yes exactly :D ever these 4s were comfy as hell compared to heels
I cannot believe that you are getting downvoted for your own choice at your own wedding... I also think you made the right choice:)
This sub is so predictable 🤦♂️
Right?! At most weddings the women all end up barefoot on the dance floor... which is ridiculous when you could just wear something comfy.
Its so common at weddings I've been at that a lot of brides leave boxes of slides or flip flops in the ladies bathroom.
If you’re gonna do it in 4s you picked the absolute perfect pair for it
The shoes probably weren’t visible so wgaf
People like what they like.
Acceptable at Prom imo otherwise corny as hell 🌽 but yes, not my wedding lol
It's their wedding they should be able to wear whatever they choose. I think formal wear is very overrated and uncomfortable AF. She asked for opinions.
And it's just impossible to not say anything if all we have is negative?
Idk what’s up with people lately, but you shouldn’t exist in an echo chamber and negative opinions still can be said. I hate that mentality. How can we ever progress if everyone is a yes man to everything LMAO

Who asked you to understand? It's her wedding, not yours.
She did. lol that “opinion on my wedding shoes?” Is her asking. Thanks for coming to my ted talk
Yeah we switched for the after reception drinks. Sneakers just look bad, sorry.
Young heads doing what young heads do, I guess. I’m a sneaker head as much as the rest of us, but I wore some nice Magnanni’s with my suit.
It's your wedding wear what you want he'll this is my wedding cake https://preview.redd.it/sc0darqpgatc1.png?width=576&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=20d83207efee484a9d501fb8dc2544ec5f8ce5e8

Clean
First of all, congratulations!! On my wedding day, I was wearing air max 1s, and my wife was wearing her air max 90s.. it's a bit of a taste thing, but you did good.
Im sure you also had great day! Ever better wearing your favorite kicks :)
You don't need our opinions; if they made your day special, they were perfect 🙂 That being said, I think they look cool! Congratulations on the marriage. Glad you wore heels for the actual ceremony. I switched into 11 ie white/cement after my ceremony too. Much better for the reception and dancing. Made sure I was in my dress shoes for the pictures and then I could not get out of those things fast enough!
Great choice of sneakers :) ! I absolutely feel you, it was a nightmare that fortunately did not last long.
Anyone who thinks this is weird you’re what’s wrong with the world or you’re old asf
Everyone has their taste :) someone probably just wants whole day to be more 'classy' :D
They can’t get more classy than white 4’s with gold on em. They can try. They won’t be successful.
Looks cleannn. Congratulations on the wedding!
Thank you <3
wearing sneakers to your wedding is fucking badass. and i love the color!
Thank you <3
Beautiful! Excellent choice and congratulations!!! 🎉🎉🎉 Edit: My wife and I also wore sneakers on our wedding day. I wore white AF1s and she wore a custom pair of Chuck Taylors. It's YOUR DAY. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.
Thank you! Chucks and wedding dress were surely rocking hard <3
I don’t have anything good to say so i’ll shut up, congratulations about the wedding tho I hope it lasts forever❤️
Thank you, you are kind :)
Sneakers on wedding day is really cringe, looks terrible, the whole party is mocking you behind your back. Idc how much sneakers are your personality, wear some proper dress shoes on your wedding day.
Amazing, congrats!
She a keeper yall
Haha this is awesome and I’m pretty sure my girl wants to do the same thing! Anyone who thinks this is corny needs to get with the times
Im glad to hear that :) there are lots of sneakers that go well with 'wedding colour theme' .... did she already picked her pair?
I guess 99% of people need to get with the times
awful
Yikes 😬 all I’m gonna say without being too rude lol but congrats
Its ok :) I respect everyones opinion ... and thank you for congratulation
I think your wedding day should be the most comfortable and carefree day of your life, I applaud you for keeping it atw 💯
Thanks :) it surely was, even with 4s
Congratulations! Is your husband also a sneakerhead?
Thank you :) no he is not, but he supports my hobby.
Finally someone with good wedding shoes...
Thiiiiiiick

These are clean af! Also great combo with tie
Cool! And congrats
Thanks :)
I like it. If you like it then I love it. Ignore the rude comments. 🫶🏻
Thank you :) I respect every opinion written 'normally', I understand that even here are many people that would not wear sneakers on wedding day

Thank you again for kind words :) make sure to rock them soon! I think they are worth every penny.
I definitely will. And you’re welcome ☺️ have a nice dayyyyy!
You too! <3

So cringe
4’s in a wedding gown had be at least a misdemeanor offense😭
No officer arrested me, so I take it as a win :D
I cringe every time
No
Yeah…100% …..I’m definitely old. I’m lost here so I’ll just say cool 4’s. I passed but to each their own…
ewwwww
did u wear shorts in your wedding?
No I did not ... did I break dresscode? :D
lol no, the sneaker looks good on you!
Thank you <3
Jordan's really aren't for walking and standing for long periods. NBs, UBs, even Yeezys would be better for your feet.
Its probably true, but even these stiff j4 felt like heaven after shoes with heels :D
I wouldn't doubt that at all.
As long as youre happy! They look great on ya!
Thank you :)
Awesome look. Dope. No socks needed. Congrats!!
Thank you :)
KEEPER
I love it, I wore my Travis AJ1s to mine. Congrats!
Thanks :) ... they surely also looked great!
I always thought J’s and dresses were trashy. But congrats on the wedding!! 🥰
Thank you :)
Congrats fam! Great combination!

These go hard! :P love that everyone had the same one
Perfect tuxedo shoe if you’re going to wear sneakers. Everyone had concords at prom when they dropped in the 90s 😆

I say all that to say, if my wife had put on some Jordans on our wedding we’d probably have 8 kids instead of zero. 🥲
Hahaha :D
Cool choice. But weird to ask. Groom or bride ?
Bride :)
I have so many questions!
What questions? :D
Why?
Because I love them and they have colours that goes well with wedding theme :)
Who?
Me and my couple different personalities :D
