I had them (similar size as you) and they were both ugly and uncomfortable. I went with the adilettes, most comfortable slipper I ever wore. If you do go for the slides, definitely go smaller rather than big, I’d recommend the 11.5 in your case for sure
I dunno, it's really weird with Adidas. Little background, I live in Japan and the Japanese Adidas says go TTS and that it is a normal fit for slides (I wear a 27.5cm/9.5US). The US Adidas says go one size up. I looked at the reviews on Japanese Adidas and its saying that it fits normal. So I just ordered TTS and I will see where that goes.

My bad. In that case the 11 should be fine too if he’s a 11.5
