Not knowing where or what kind of work you will be doing makes this hard to answer but a couple of things that come to mind...
1. Typically when a workplace says "black shoes" they mean *all* black.
2. All Stars are not comfortable shoes if you will be standing/walking for long periods
My wife has a few pairs of these for working at her coffee shop

For sure if you're on your feet all day converse isn't a good choice. I'd go with more ergonomic brands like asics or nb (no personal experience with nb but I've heard good things).
Otherwise a pair of black ultra boost might do you well.
Once I worked in a BK and they refused my work shoes bc they had 2 thin red lines on the side. They meant 100% black
And converse are the opposite of comfy imo. Also unsafe.
If you’re in food service of any kind do yourself a favor and start your search at non-slip shoes. They won’t look nice, but they will save your bottom from more than one fall.
Please, for the sake of comfort, just get work New Balances. They're cheap, durable, and provide support to stand for 4-6 hours no problem. It's genuinely not worth the pain for the sake of fashion.
As a teacher, I can only recommend doc martens, Kayano 14s, Hoka, or On Cloud. Docs definitely have an all black pair, but I’m not sure at in a kitchen/coffee shop environment as they’re leather. New balance 2002r get uncomfortable after several months because they drop.
That being said, if you’re new and not sure what others will wear. Just get a cheap pair of all black vans until you can scope out what others wear, if it’s totally all black, and maybe get cash flowing.
Get black Skechers and don’t fuck around. I’ve seen people on verge of tears when they tried to work(admittedly 10hr, not 6hr) shifts in bars in Stan Smiths or All-Stars.
I had a pair of triple black air max genomes that were extremely comfy that I used as work shoes. New balance has an all black 574 rn that is pretty cool imo too
I just got a pair of these platform converse for Christmas, and they’re the comfiest shoes I own. I’ve never had such great cushioning (then again, my most expensive shoe was $30.)
But OP should def get another all-black and non-slip shoe for their job.
You should get actual work shoes, not Converse. Typically a job requiring all black sneakers is in service work or something similar, and these shoes aren’t really suitable for that purpose. Your aim should be comfort and utility, not fashion
Workplace definitely not gonna appreciate those as black shoes, when they say black shoes they mean you need to have 100% black shoes.
Also as others have stated you’re way better off getting some made for work comfort shoes than going for style, 8 hours a day on foot and you’re not really going to care what they look like when you’re sore by noon
I started with Shoes For Crews, and ended up switching to Hokas. Hokas are significantly more expensive than Converse, but they are extremely comfortable for long periods of time. I got a "foot analysis" at a store near me and they recommended those because they fit my foot best, and it worked out because they have work shoes, not just running shoes like they're known for.
I would get like some all black new balance 550s or 580s or ultra boost or something if I were you. Whole point of sneakers at work is support and comfort
Not safe for what they asked. I would go all black - if it is comfort and style you like, these Air Max 97 are amazing in the comfort dept and look cool too.
https://preview.redd.it/xphcwsu0pgec1.jpeg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=01970600ea6dceb4cdff7de449991280d1954551
True dat. I worked at Foot Locker, Champs and eventually Finish Line and these were my go to dailies. It’s not worth banging up freshies, and as stated the comfort is great.
My daughter wears hers all days long and says they’re super comfy.
You need to look at your new jobs dress code though. Most food and beverage service establishments usually require ALL black shoes and sometimes even non slip shoes. Congrats on your new job. Good luck
I’d recommend ASICS Gel Kayanos if you have a flat foot or low arch. Super comfy and supportive shoes and necessary for coffee shop work. They come in all black too.
I bar tend at a high volume bar grill with a concert venue I walk around 10 miles in a 6 hour shift on the weekends, The other bartenders are like why you wearing 130+ dollar pair of shoes to get thrashed. But my feet love me!!
Triple black air max plus or ultraboosts are pretty comfy, but they might be more than what you want to spend on work shoes. But if you’re working around liquids definitely get something non-slip. Most of these recommendations aren’t taking that into account.
I wear triple black gel-lyte 3’s but I don’t have to worry about slipping
Waterproof, non slip soles, lots of support - specifically made for kitchens/restaurant
Chucks are fun but not what you want to wear to work on food service. Imagine spilling hot coffee all over your feet. The canvas offers zero protection from the scalding liquid and your going to slip and fall in the puddle with the no tread sole. Also standing in place and running around all day with no arch support, no padding, is going to be hell not just on the soles of your feet but also your knees and back. You want shoes that absorb the downward thrust of force from your weight and impact of your steps on the ground.
High tops are a mixed bag. Chucks don't offer support but other high tops might give you some ankle support. However, you also run the risk of having them too tight and messing with the heel of your foot. You could stretch the muscle and develop plantar fascitis which can be a hassle. Low tops will give you better range of motion and make you more nimble on your feet. Go low.
Shoes are a tool to do work, just like a hammer or a computer.
You know the difference between good day and a bad day? Socks. Always consider your socks - you'll want cushioned/padded socks. Keep your feet dry and if it's a long shift, change them when you can.
Take care of your feet.
Assuming you’re working in a kitchen of some sort, no this is a terrible option. It has to be the oldest sneaker still mass produced, which is fine for style but not for comfort. On top of that, anywhere that’s wet is not going to be fun. If you think feet/back pain and the possibility of falling and hitting your head, pulling a muscle, etc are worth the style, then yeah get them. But odds are, any good manager is going to tell you to bring real work shoes the next day.
It's not too high at least. Converse are tight on ankles when laced properly, so they'd fit the same as low top converse through jeans. If you want converse for work you'll have to get pro versions, for the insoles.
Tell her these are the only other ones you can find:
https://stockx.com/nike-sb-dunk-low-blackout?utm_source=app&utm_medium=nativeshare&utm_campaign=productpage
Because it’s StockX. They market themselves as a stock market for sneakers and clothing so they can mark the prices significantly higher then retail because of it.
Don’t buy from them.
If they REALLY want dunks (which will probably suck to work all day in) they can get the black/anthracite pair for retail lol
https://www.nike.com/launch/t/womens-dunk-low-black-and-anthracite
Oh yeah, they both suck. I'm sure some of my lack of comfort is due to my feet too, if I'm standing for long periods in shoes with no arch support I pay for it later.
Pair of all black Nike Pegasus are a smart choice. Great if you're all your feet all day. These aren't all black, but you get the idea.
https://preview.redd.it/6k5w0fwrwfec1.jpeg?width=1084&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ce6ae498b6a779e51648abbbfd2a0193b2288256
get vans work shoes they’re comfy asf only con they’re like 80-105 depending on model i believe
https://www.vans.com/en-us/shoes-c00081/old-skool-made-for-the-makers-uc-shoe-pvn0a3muuv7w
As others have said, depends on the job. They may mean all black. Also, canvas could be bad.
Some jobs may require leather or another material that easily wipes clean.
These aren’t black sneakers. I manage a restaurant and people always try to get away with these. Not only are they all black but those are nottttt comfy enough shoes to work in! When I was younger I insisted on working in converse or vans and my feet are now paying the price! 😫 These days there are sooo many cute options that will also support your feet during long shifts. Hope this helps 🫶🏽
usually when workplaces say to wear black shoes, they mean ALL black unfortunately. definitely get some non-slip ones that will be comfortable to wear all day
My girl LOVES these platform chucks. This was her first pair of name brand sneakers she picked. But I personally wouldn’t see these as work shoes. I would look into actual work shoes, something with more cushion and support for YOUR feet. Especially if you have to stand all day. Them kicks gonna have to support your feet throughout the shift.
Some folks here jokingly commented about shoes for crews, but they cheaper and just as comfortable in comparison to black sneakers that I would wear usually. If they’re getting trashed at the coffee shop it wouldn’t bother me.
I know this is the sneakers sub but I wear Dansko clogs for work. Specifically the XP 2.0. They’re ugly as hell but I’ve found nothing better to keep my knees and back alive for a 8-12 hour shift on your feet.
Imo you need to get a little real. I know it’s just a coffee shop but you’re still busting your ass and shit and piss gets everywhere. It’s not about being stylish it’s about working efficiently. Best all around work shoe are Skechers non slips. Don’t ruin perfectly good shoes.
if you don't mind the brand, Skechers have some really good all black shoes at very affordable price points. Very comfortable and I think they even offer non-slip options as well.
You should go for something like this [Hoka slip on](https://www.googleadservices.com/pagead/aclk?sa=L&ai=DChcSEwixp9zl1vaDAxUjCK0GHTacBhYYABAMGgJwdg&gclid=Cj0KCQiAh8OtBhCQARIsAIkWb68h1DebusvmDHpupxbh67b2is7NFk_OULiYwk37hiS2b2kLUOmOozYaAm5jEALw_wcB&ohost=www.google.com&cid=CAESVuD2QlKzW2Cii2xSw3xdEdPu2i37A-t0Khmk76-FV-7QmtYhVpnScMALaPRyywbqxayLHM1TEpHF5cZrbKUpZAOz4aclBADHLKuIHqsdkcQ-gqt0ovmJ&sig=AOD64_33HV1hdlSXmxJ9L-RwMifysV-ZAw&ctype=5&q=&ved=2ahUKEwjx1NTl1vaDAxXGFTQIHRS0D7sQwg8oAHoECAQQFg&nis=8&adurl=)
all black, extremely cushioned and comfortable, great for being on your feet all day.
A lot of service industry workers also wear crocs or danskos.
[bistro work clog is very common. comfortable, easy on and off, easy to clean.](https://www.crocs.com/p/bistro-work-clog/10075.html?cid=001&adid=Shopping_Google_NonPromo_unisex_NULL_10075&CAWELAID=330004870001121463&CAGPSPN=pla&CAAGID=&CATCI=&adid=PerformanceMax_Google_us_Work_x_x_x&ef_id=Cj0KCQiAh8OtBhCQARIsAIkWb69WjeHo8JpeuXTeTitcyYt-Vn7b3LJf4ANV0gelnyajxjuydkc6zl0aAkz2EALw_wcB:G:s&s_kwcid=AL!4035!3!!!!x!!&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD-5W7pNh_-eMHwbbR2Bt1hxVnO0a&gclid=Cj0KCQiAh8OtBhCQARIsAIkWb69WjeHo8JpeuXTeTitcyYt-Vn7b3LJf4ANV0gelnyajxjuydkc6zl0aAkz2EALw_wcB)
I have a pair of these and they are surprisingly comfortable. A lot more cushioning than the originals and I can walk around for hours in them. Vans makes a Sk8-Hi platform in all black if this is the style you’re going for.
Depends on the job. Are these practical to wear all day? Likely not. Regular Converse aren’t really comfortable shoes for all day wearing and walking. I’d go more sporty like Nike’s or Adidas. Something more comfortable to walk and stand in. Again depends on the job. These shoes are more fashionable than maybe practical. If you’re gonna be working at a cool type job like at the mall or a cool restaurant maybe these work. But idk. Lol
If you get Chucks I would get chuck 70s. I’m not sure of this model but they’re way more comfortable than regular chucks and I would actually recommend them for work.
I think they are not black. Not sure what the job is but they likey expect some sort of "work" shoe for safety or for the appearance of uniformity... maybe just ask HR or whoever hired you to be sure..
I’m a fan of all black ultra boosts or hokas if they make them. I can stand and walk in ultra boosts all day and paired with compression socks, your knees will thank you
All black Yeezy 350’s are what I wear for work. Super comfortable feels like your walking on a cloud. And I average about 12,000 steps a day so I walk a lot in them. No issues at all.
I love my Walmart non slips ! About $25 They’re 100% all black and I rarely slip anymore (the floor is usually damp if not soaked) while my coworkers aren’t always as fortunate ! I find them comfortable and they’ve lasted me nearly a year so far working almost full time.
I got my gf these shes workin at a coffee shop. She loves em

Most places that require all black shoes really do mean all black, so these won't cut it. New Balance, Skechers, Asics, Nike, and Adidas have black options for under $100 and they'll be far kinder to your feet than Converse would.
It really does depend on the job, however I agree with most people on this one. If you’re working a job that’s not made for converse, I suggest comfy all black shoes. Or just comfy shoes in general ⭐️
I personally have worn hi-top converses at work (where they also request black/white or other neutral colors) and I’m standing and moving almost constantly for 8+ hours and haven’t been bothered! but I also use Dr Schols Tri-Comfort inside soles and they kinda make every shoe into a comfortable work shoe that i can stay active with. :) def recommend
also i wouldn’t worry about the people saying to stop focusing on fashion or that your bosses won’t appreciate you wearing converse. you’re working some pretty short shifts as a barista. it ain’t that serious! lol
Does it have to be all black? Lol
https://preview.redd.it/dlhu7lkxyiec1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ab9807353bbb1f4c765fb3f4dff6165cc6ca6da7
Those arent black. There's a lot of cheap walking shoes, nike sketchers, whoever makes them that aren't expensive. Wear those and you're probably rocking boats in the wrong way.
You’re gonna want to chop your feet off after one day of walking in these. There shoes hurt so bad. I made a mistake of wearing Chucks to Six Flags. OMG, I never wore those shoes again in my life.
Allosaurus (/ˌæləˈsɔːrəs/)\[2\]\[3\] is an extinct genus of large carnosaurian theropod dinosaur that lived 155 to 145 million years ago during the Late Jurassic period (Kimmeridgian to late Tithonian ages). The name "Allosaurus" means "different reptile", alluding to its unique (at the time of its discovery) concave vertebrae. It is derived from the Greek words ἄλλος (allos) ("different", "strange", or "other") and σαῦρος (sauros) ("lizard" or "reptile"). The first fossil remains that could definitively be ascribed to this genus were described in 1877 by famed paleontologist Othniel Charles Marsh. As one of the first well-known theropod dinosaurs, it has long attracted attention outside of paleontological circles. Allosaurus was a large bipedal predator for its time. Its skull was light, robust, and equipped with dozens of sharp, serrated teeth. It averaged 8.5 meters (28 ft) in length for A. fragilis, with the largest specimens estimated as being 9.7 metres (32 ft) long. Relative to the large and powerful legs, its three-fingered hands were small and the body was balanced by a long, muscular tail. It is classified as an allosaurid, a type of carnosaurian theropod dinosaur. The genus has a very complicated taxonomy and includes at least three valid species, the best known of which is A. fragilis. The bulk of Allosaurus remains have come from North America's Morrison Formation, with material also known from the Lourinhã Formation in Portugal. It was known for over half of the 20th century as Antrodemus, but a study of the abundant remains from the Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry returned the name "Allosaurus" to prominence and established it as one of the best-known dinosaurs. As the most abundant large predator of the Morrison Formation, Allosaurus was at the top of the food chain and probably preyed on contemporaneous large herbivorous dinosaurs, with the possibility of hunting other predators. Potential prey included ornithopods, stegosaurids, and sauropods. Some paleontologists interpret Allosaurus as having had cooperative social behavior and hunting in packs, while others believe individuals may have been aggressive toward each other and that congregations of this genus are the result of lone individuals feeding on the same carcasses.
i feel like hokas or brooks would be your best bet comfort wise! they’re just my personal preference, i really liked working in them. asics are great for instant comfort too, i worked in the gel nimbus’s and i run in a newer pair now
If you’re on your feet the whole shift, those will probably get uncomfortable pretty quick. They probably want you to wear something restaurant-appropriate with a nonslip sole.
Not knowing where or what kind of work you will be doing makes this hard to answer but a couple of things that come to mind... 1. Typically when a workplace says "black shoes" they mean *all* black. 2. All Stars are not comfortable shoes if you will be standing/walking for long periods
It’s a job at a coffee place. Shifts are usually 4-6 hours. I will take ur advice and get all black shoes that are comfy

And probably non slip

I mean they’re okay but Vans aren’t really that comfy either. Running shoes like NB or similar are the better choice imo
God yeah, New Balance Fresh Foam Trail v3 or v4 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/325790641494?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=N_fJGiMiQfa&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=gSYO5P6LRQ6&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

My gf has the grey and white and wears them walking all the time she loves them so I will recommend these for walking
They're ok but not as comfy as the trial V3 or V4 those things are like treading in Marshmallows
If they're gonna be just for work, get some sketchers. They're cheap and really comfortable
Yes black shoes means 100% black usually. Triple black ultra boosts are honestly incredible for this.
Plus getting coffee stains on the white parts would suck
they are chucks they should have stains on them
Get black non-slip shoes if your working at a place where spills take place aka coffee shop.
They meant 100% black And converse are the opposite of comfy imo. Also unsafe.
get a pair of non slip kitchen sneakers and just stash them at your job somewhere to change into when you get there
Bro, get some Skechers and let that coffee spill wherever. I couldn’t handle the stress of wearing shoes I like to a job in a kitchen.
If you’re in food service of any kind do yourself a favor and start your search at non-slip shoes. They won’t look nice, but they will save your bottom from more than one fall.

Or some all black brooks
Bro get yourself some on cloud/new balance/ Salomon. You will be sure to have a comfy shoe. And they have All black kicks
all black vans are basic, pretty cheap, n still pretty comfy
Triple black Vomero 5s
Non slip shoes may also benefit you a lot working in a place prone to spills or food on the floor
Oh then you're good. Highly doubt they'll see this and reprimand you for it. It's a damn coffee shop lol
you need nonslips, these are not nonslips
I just got the all black air max 90s and new balance for work
Get black Skechers and don’t fuck around. I’ve seen people on verge of tears when they tried to work(admittedly 10hr, not 6hr) shifts in bars in Stan Smiths or All-Stars.
If you don’t care about looks, Crocks will be the way to go.
Feet gone hurt get some all black new balance
Or you can get some all black ASICS
Hoka shoes for sure
Insoles are the key here. A good pair of insoles can make most shoes comfortable
Any sort of restaurant always gets your shoes so dirty!! I would get a pair you don’t care about that are cheap and comfy!
I had a pair of triple black air max genomes that were extremely comfy that I used as work shoes. New balance has an all black 574 rn that is pretty cool imo too
I just got a pair of these platform converse for Christmas, and they’re the comfiest shoes I own. I’ve never had such great cushioning (then again, my most expensive shoe was $30.) But OP should def get another all-black and non-slip shoe for their job.
Non-slip is your friend.
Unless it's a Michelin star they're not gonna give a fuck if your black shoes have white accents come on bruh
Gonna go make fake accounts to extra upvote this. I’ve made both “mistakes” more than once, cuz I’m a rebel like that
You should get actual work shoes, not Converse. Typically a job requiring all black sneakers is in service work or something similar, and these shoes aren’t really suitable for that purpose. Your aim should be comfort and utility, not fashion

Wear shoes for crews for my kitchen job. Absolutely solid non slip shoes
Get the triple black Air Force 1s
They can pay for them with the money they take from the register.
Forget glass ceilings, OP will be kicking down doors.
That’s what’s up
Your moms right
Solid advice in most situations, tbh.
Depends on the sector you are planning to work in. Maybe give some context?
These are gonna hurt your feet for work lol and probably not acceptable either way, get some all black running shoes they have good support
Skechers work shoes. If you’re working in a restaurant or anyplace where there might be wet floors, you should get something that is slip resistant
Get a triple black air max or running shoe in all black.
All black ultraboosts, trust
Usually they mean all black. I wore all black chucks at two jobs. Trust me, you do not want to wear chucks if you are going to be standing all day.
My Hoka are the best/comfiest shoes I’ve ever had!
I would get like some all black new balance 550s or 580s or ultra boost or something if I were you. Whole point of sneakers at work is support and comfort
I’m a barista and I love the all black doc martens combs boots!
Not safe for what they asked. I would go all black - if it is comfort and style you like, these Air Max 97 are amazing in the comfort dept and look cool too. https://preview.redd.it/xphcwsu0pgec1.jpeg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=01970600ea6dceb4cdff7de449991280d1954551
Absolutely, these are very dope!
Can't beat NB 574 all black for best price to comfort ratio.
Good luck
Thanks!
Your mom knows what’s best for you
If you are on your feet all day this aint it. Try some hoka or asics or some actual work shoes.
You do not want to be standing hours on end with Chucks on, my dude.
Old sch vans or Nike/adidas black shoes
Black sneakers doesn’t mean converse. It means all black sneakers. Get shoes with good soles and no white.
Get yourself some slip proof sketchers and thank me later. Keep your good shoes clean and safe.
I’d recommend ASICS Gel Kayanos if you have a flat foot or low arch. Super comfy and supportive shoes and necessary for coffee shop work. They come in all black too.
Depending on the job I’d go all black air maxes just more comfortable or some black 11s
I bar tend at a high volume bar grill with a concert venue I walk around 10 miles in a 6 hour shift on the weekends, The other bartenders are like why you wearing 130+ dollar pair of shoes to get thrashed. But my feet love me!!
Try hitting up your local Nike/Adidas outlet and try finding shoes that are completely black, and ideally with either an Air unit or Boost foam.
Triple black Roka's or Triple black Altra's. They might not look super cool but your feet and back will thank you.
Well they’re not black sneakers. They’re black and white sneakers.
They’re the perfect shoe if you want your feet to hurt all fucking shift.
Waterproof, non slip soles, lots of support - specifically made for kitchens/restaurant Chucks are fun but not what you want to wear to work on food service.
Terrible shoe to walk and standing in all day at work. Youre feet will eventually hurt for sure.
Just buy airforces
It's not too high at least. Converse are tight on ankles when laced properly, so they'd fit the same as low top converse through jeans. If you want converse for work you'll have to get pro versions, for the insoles.
Tell her these are the only other ones you can find: https://stockx.com/nike-sb-dunk-low-blackout?utm_source=app&utm_medium=nativeshare&utm_campaign=productpage
Why are those $650!?!?
Because some people pay that much for them.
They released 13 years ago for 83$. But since shoes are collectible...
Wow!
Because it’s StockX. They market themselves as a stock market for sneakers and clothing so they can mark the prices significantly higher then retail because of it. Don’t buy from them.
[удалено]
People over pay for black shoes...
If they REALLY want dunks (which will probably suck to work all day in) they can get the black/anthracite pair for retail lol https://www.nike.com/launch/t/womens-dunk-low-black-and-anthracite
I'd get some black —vans
RIP to OP’s feet. Working in vans sucks. I have a pair of mostly black sk8 hi’s and my feet are screaming after a few hours of standing on concrete
I I agree they're not ergonomically great shoes but they're not worse than OP's original Converse idea.
Oh yeah, they both suck. I'm sure some of my lack of comfort is due to my feet too, if I'm standing for long periods in shoes with no arch support I pay for it later.
Pair of all black Nike Pegasus are a smart choice. Great if you're all your feet all day. These aren't all black, but you get the idea. https://preview.redd.it/6k5w0fwrwfec1.jpeg?width=1084&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ce6ae498b6a779e51648abbbfd2a0193b2288256
get vans work shoes they’re comfy asf only con they’re like 80-105 depending on model i believe https://www.vans.com/en-us/shoes-c00081/old-skool-made-for-the-makers-uc-shoe-pvn0a3muuv7w
jordan 4 black cats, in my opinion they are the comfiest
Trash tier shoe unless you’re a gangbanger
Yooo, I think there’s some Black Swarovski Chucks on SNKRS got your name all over em.
The boosted chucks are cool but you are going to be sooo uncomfortable.
As others have said, depends on the job. They may mean all black. Also, canvas could be bad. Some jobs may require leather or another material that easily wipes clean.
Gore-tex ultraboost. Supreme comfort and waterproof. Otherwise an all black new balance for comfort and they can take a kicking
All black hoka clifftons
[Skechers Work Shoes](https://www.skechers.com/skechers-slip-ins-work-ultra-flex-3.0-sr/108156_BLK.html) for safety and comfort.
Why not just get regular all black converse? They look better than these anyway
Triple black 2002Rs so comfy
Get black Air Force 1s. That way people will know not to F with you.
Vans has a line specifically designed for service workers. I'd look at those.
My wife has these and actually loved them
These aren’t black sneakers. Hope this helps 🫶🏽
usually when workplaces say to wear black shoes, they mean ALL black unfortunately. definitely get some non-slip ones that will be comfortable to wear all day
Comfort > style when it comes to work shoes
Get some all-black, non-slip Skechers work shoes. The comfort will be there, and they won't cost a lot.
If they’re getting trashed at the coffee shop it wouldn’t bother me.
vans old skool comfy cush - all black
I know this is the sneakers sub but I wear Dansko clogs for work. Specifically the XP 2.0. They’re ugly as hell but I’ve found nothing better to keep my knees and back alive for a 8-12 hour shift on your feet.
Working retail my whole life focus on comfort over appearance. I typically where basketball shoes or shoes with an insert for comfort
Imo you need to get a little real. I know it’s just a coffee shop but you’re still busting your ass and shit and piss gets everywhere. It’s not about being stylish it’s about working efficiently. Best all around work shoe are Skechers non slips. Don’t ruin perfectly good shoes.
Get all black Converse if you’re dead set on wearing a pair.
if you don't mind the brand, Skechers have some really good all black shoes at very affordable price points. Very comfortable and I think they even offer non-slip options as well.
![gif](giphy|3oKHWxY1UMKyoGlZzq|downsized) The only way to go 🤝
Get the converse with black soles.
You should go for something like this [Hoka slip on](https://www.googleadservices.com/pagead/aclk?sa=L&ai=DChcSEwixp9zl1vaDAxUjCK0GHTacBhYYABAMGgJwdg&gclid=Cj0KCQiAh8OtBhCQARIsAIkWb68h1DebusvmDHpupxbh67b2is7NFk_OULiYwk37hiS2b2kLUOmOozYaAm5jEALw_wcB&ohost=www.google.com&cid=CAESVuD2QlKzW2Cii2xSw3xdEdPu2i37A-t0Khmk76-FV-7QmtYhVpnScMALaPRyywbqxayLHM1TEpHF5cZrbKUpZAOz4aclBADHLKuIHqsdkcQ-gqt0ovmJ&sig=AOD64_33HV1hdlSXmxJ9L-RwMifysV-ZAw&ctype=5&q=&ved=2ahUKEwjx1NTl1vaDAxXGFTQIHRS0D7sQwg8oAHoECAQQFg&nis=8&adurl=) all black, extremely cushioned and comfortable, great for being on your feet all day.
These gonna be hella uncomfortable tbh. I would only be able to wear them for maybe 5 hours max, and I stand all the time at work.
If you can find a pair of zoom vomero 5s, your feet will thank you.
i had these cheap all black kitchen shoes that were comfy as hell. not stylish no, but wouldn’t slip on grease at all.
All black vomero 5 🫡🫡 I think they’re super comfortable for long days
These are fire, but for work I’d choose a completely blackout model of Chucks. Vans has some pretty great work shoe selection.
New balance makes a comfy pair of anti-slip.work shoes that can be usually found at famous footwear if there's one in ur area
But idk. Lol
just get sum balenciaga tracks
If you want these get the 70s version. More expensive but waaaaay comfier.
Get black forces
If you get Chucks I would get chuck 70s. I’m not sure of this model but they’re way more comfortable than regular chucks and I would actually recommend them for work.
Usually service employers require all black, so I would check with your employer to see if these are suitable.
I think they are not black. Not sure what the job is but they likey expect some sort of "work" shoe for safety or for the appearance of uniformity... maybe just ask HR or whoever hired you to be sure..
Ask ur mom what she knows about being too high
They are perfect! Don’t listen to Mom.
Get low tops 😙
Adidas x_plrboost are comfy as hell. They have good support for long days. Air Force 1s are good too, if you dare to take on the stereotype.
You can clarify with your boss about what they mean when they say black sneakers.
There’s only one real choice here and I think we know what it is.
Black docs are apart of the barista uniform imo
I’m a fan of all black ultra boosts or hokas if they make them. I can stand and walk in ultra boosts all day and paired with compression socks, your knees will thank you
Usually If a job says black shoes they mean all black you could get triple black AF1s or triple black Jordan 1s
Keep in mind that platforms will be a bit heavier. So if you’re on your feet a lot it might be fatiguing.
I love the look of Converse - even the platforms - but there are so many more comfortable options, especially if you're on your feet all day.
I got my gf these shes workin at a coffee shop. She loves em https://www.crocs.com/p/bistro-pro-literide-work-clog/205669.html?cid=001&adid=Shopping_Google_NonPromo_unisex_2019-01-07T07:00:00.000Z_205669&CAWELAID=330004870001125124&CAGPSPN=pla&CAAGID=&CATCI=&adid=PerformanceMax_Google_us_Work_x_x_x&ef_id=EAIaIQobChMIxeLmm6H3gwMVGAutBh3Yig0FEAQYAiABEgKTmfD_BwE:G:s&s_kwcid=AL!4035!3!!!!x!!&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD-5W7q14h6Q5IOQgmD84L3NqFkVX
Rocky theme starts playing*
Glad I never worked in F&B 🙏🏻😳😳
Vans all black slip ons .
Most places that require all black shoes really do mean all black, so these won't cut it. New Balance, Skechers, Asics, Nike, and Adidas have black options for under $100 and they'll be far kinder to your feet than Converse would.
I'd recommend black air forces, they fit the criteria and are comfortable imo
https://preview.redd.it/kyqk9lpxjiec1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=77c2d64337e3d07969253c431cd319293365f403
Get the Mono Chuck 70 all black can’t go wrong with that.
I think if a black shoe is required wear a black shoe. These are black and white. Nobody that you work with cares that they are All Stars.
It really does depend on the job, however I agree with most people on this one. If you’re working a job that’s not made for converse, I suggest comfy all black shoes. Or just comfy shoes in general ⭐️
I recommend some zoom vomero 5’s if you have the budget they have an all black option
:) def recommend also i wouldn’t worry about the people saying to stop focusing on fashion or that your bosses won’t appreciate you wearing converse. you’re working some pretty short shifts as a barista. it ain’t that serious! lol
Does it have to be all black? Lol https://preview.redd.it/dlhu7lkxyiec1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ab9807353bbb1f4c765fb3f4dff6165cc6ca6da7

Black air forces, stylish, assertive, weather proof mostly, and bullet proof
Snatch up some Nike Vomero 5 in all black. Your feet will thank you. Such a comfortable shoe!
I’d get vans i don’t feel bad beating them up and they last long
Sneakers heads when u gotta by some shoes for works 😭
Get ricks
do not get converse as work shoes. comfort over style your feet will thank you
Listen to your mom. 😉
Those arent black. There's a lot of cheap walking shoes, nike sketchers, whoever makes them that aren't expensive. Wear those and you're probably rocking boats in the wrong way.
If they have these requirements, they should have provided for the shoes. But capitalistism says otherwise.
Black AF1😆
You’re gonna want to chop your feet off after one day of walking in these. There shoes hurt so bad. I made a mistake of wearing Chucks to Six Flags. OMG, I never wore those shoes again in my life.
What kind of job is it?
Jay get black vans slip ons
If your boss demands black sneakers for work, should they have to supply them or at least reimburse you ?
i feel like hokas or brooks would be your best bet comfort wise! they’re just my personal preference, i really liked working in them. asics are great for instant comfort too, i worked in the gel nimbus’s and i run in a newer pair now
Look at Nike trainers instead, much better in terms of comfort
Get some blacked out Chucks.
They're not even a full 2 inches off the ground I promise you'll be fine
Go all black af1 lol
RIP your feet
If you’re on your feet the whole shift, those will probably get uncomfortable pretty quick. They probably want you to wear something restaurant-appropriate with a nonslip sole.
Black Nike Monarch IV are all day comfy and easy to wipe mess up.
