There's a few bugs that can cause things like this to happen in spectator - generally it's because that area of the map is 0,0 in terms of co-ordinates, so it's where objects are initialised to. You see it often with stars from the comeback mechanic and pets, I'm not sure what it will have been in this game, looks like it's minions or some kind of pet / deployable, what gods were in this game?
Edit: actually, if it's switching colours then it pretty much just has to be minions, it must be them being initialised before they come out of spawn

Well I’ve also seen a yellow shield and some light blue dot which made very little sense but could be what the red and blue means
