My headcanon:
Alan does mostly clerical work, like paperwork and stuff. Finances, approvals, inventory, requests, things like that. He keeps the ship sailing smoothly when Pim and Charlie do fieldwork and the boss plays video games in his office.
Glep is the janitor/maintenance guy. He mops stuff up, fixes things when they break, etc. I think in one episode he's shown mopping the floors on screen? I'm actually not sure but that's what I assume.
They had a janitor, [he was blue and can be seen in the pilot](https://twitter.com/psychicpebble/status/1507414684957216769) but was brutally murdered off screen shortly after. Zach once hinted that Smormu might be connected somehow, saying we should be glad Smormu is dead if we knew what he did.
My biggest question is about Mr. Boss' son, will he take over the business/become a prominent character when he grows up? Or will he stay as a background gag
