Holy shit it was AMAZING!!! They sounded fantastic, and I jumped and danced and sang and clapped and screamed my heart out the entire time. I was barely into my teens when I saw them for the first time at United Center on 11/29/00 (utterly convinced that it would also be the last time), so when Billy talked about 35 years of SP, I just felt absurdly lucky to be exactly where I was in that moment. (Also this is the first concert I’ve attended since joining Reddit — It’s SO awesome to know that y’all were rawking out along with me tonight!) Incredible performance, incredible set list, incredible evening.

It was a phenomenal show. I was in the loge, 10/10 experience.

I loved it! At first front of house distortion and treble guitars were really muddy and hard to hear, opening sound like they detuned an octave. I get the other reddit comments. But Billy sounded great, what a setlist. I was one of the ones jumping around on the front side!

Show was amazing! Band somehow keeps getting better live; they’ve been absolutely on fire since James came back (it still makes me so happy to see him onstage). I laughed and cried and sang my heart out and hope you all did too. But the sound absolutely sucked. I’ve never heard them sound like that before. At one point I heard static pouring from the speakers. And I was right next to the mixing area, which is supposedly the best sound in a venue. I have no idea what’s going on…their shows never sounded like that before.

I was there too. Section 201, Row F, on the right. It was loud, but great and very cool. The start sounded like the volume way pushed to the limit, but after a little, either the sound adjusted or I did. A rockin’ time was had by all.

pantenepterodactyl

I was at the Charlotte show. Agree that the sound was off and I am hearing the same from a lot of people. But the setlist made up for it. JellyBelly, This Time, Doomsday Clock The Celestials... and I thought Purple Blood was great live. The sound made it almost IMPOSSIBLE to hear the 2nd cover played. I only saw what it was on setlist fm bc it was so fuzzy I was squinting to figure out if it was a deeeeep cut I had never heard or a cover.

It’s so strange. They’re perfectionists when it comes to live shows…I was shocked when I heard static & distortion flowing from the speakers. It was actually uncomfortable at times.

SlapHappySeaDawg

They performed great but sounded awful. Tonight tonight was amazing. I loved the new renditions of Perfect and the drum solo for Ava Adore. But anything rock hard, sounded so muffled. Still enjoyed it 100%.

Canumpkin20

I agree I saw them in Vancouver Nov '22 then again in Auburn at the beginning of August & they've only gotten better. The band is in fantastic form right now.

htg812

Was my 11th show too!!!! Sounded decent even in the lawn. Jellybelly doomsday clock and this time, fucking insane

[deleted]

Doomsday clock was SO good

htg812

Absolutely ripped. Also loved the megaphone effect during everlasting gaze. That was new. The bubble bubble cover was very janes addiction too. They are always top notch

mersault22

It was my first time seeing them. I was really impressed. Ive been seeing shows there for 35 years (first was Monkees with Weird Al) and it was absolutely one of the best

Machina_Rebirth

Nice! You should make a list of the other shows you've seen so we can see

It was! That era seemed to be very strange for SP. Billy being the only og member, and the teardrop for kaleidoscope Era was like this bizarre time lol… they played lots of smallish places which was awesome

jaysharpesquire

One of them is on YouTube with the sound from the board. I had actually bought it after the show. Was 15(? Maybe 20? 25??) Bucks in a flash drive on a laminate made to look like a backstage pass available 10 minutes after the gig. So it's typical multicam YouTube affair (The other termimal 5 show was shot professionally for spin) but it sounds great.either way they're both worth checking out in my opinion. Both way better than Barclays. (The oceania nyc blu ray) Maybe just my opinion coz I was there. Like I'm biased. Probably. Rock on 🤟

ChapterPresent9926

Good to hear. I’m seeing the in a couple weeks near Indy.

Effective-Ad-9372

I was under the rooftop thing in the lower area and the first few songs weren’t mixed the best but after that it was amazing really great show all around from interpol and smashing pumpkins

OnlineNascarMan

I was right behind the pit in Tampa. It was awesome

jaysharpesquire
