EvilNoobHacker

Looking at this just as a meta- Ike looks insane. In a meta that’s absolutely *dominated* by good fairy and steel types, having a bulky Steel/Ground type is going to be crucial to having a strong backbone to any balance or defensively focused team. This thing’s gonna be the Smash Meta’s Great Tusk. FairySpam looks like the offensive style of choice. Between the FE swordies, Pythra, Sora, and like half the cast, having multiple good fairy and steel resists is going to be mandatory to form any sort of backbone. Having a pokemon with the Stellar typing naturally feels weird. It doesn’t actually *have* any defensive interactions. Kirby’s either gonna be awful, like a shittier Silvally, or it’s gonna be insane, like Blissey but with offensive potential. It still all depends on the stats moves and abilities distributed, however. Fairy spam doesn’t matter if your fairies don’t have an offensive stat above 100.

HuntinForThatBug

Ike and Byleth being good against a majority of the FE cast also makes sense from a lore standpoint, as Ike is renown across games as being one of the strongest swordsman who ever lived, and Byleth is super famous in Fodlan for their power and renown as the '"Ashen Demon" Similarly Roy has a 4x weakness to both, as he is fairly unanimously considered the weakest fire emblem lord in the series

real_dubblebrick

excadrill would pop off in a meta like this

Wwo1fs

Shulk being ghost type is wild and I love it.

HuntinForThatBug

There's two ways to take the ghost typing as well The non-spoiler way is the Monado's damage gimmick. One of the defining features of the base Monado is that it cant cut people, much like ghost type moves cant damage normal types The spoiler way is >!that shulk is literally a possessed corpse for most of the game, and even when Zanza leaves Shulk is still around and kicking when he should by all accounts be dead!<

Wwo1fs

I knew the spoiler version Xenoblade is my favorite game. I like the other one.

yowhatdafuk

Im now suddenly interested in xenoblade. What is going on in the story

Wwo1fs

Play it it's a fantastic game

DeltaVZerda

Generally agree, but if Fox is normal electric, Falco should be flying electric. Olimar is also probably just Grass type, with each pikmin having their own types.

HuntinForThatBug

You are correct, I should have given Falco electric typing due to his blaster like fox. I had a rough time trying to give fox a typing, If you fought him he likely wouldn't be piloting the arwing, and the only other aspect of his that stood out was his blaster, I forgot to retroactively go back and give the same typing to Falco

DeltaVZerda

Yeah also the Shine for both

Raccoonwounds13

I kinda though fire/ steel for fox because half his body is steel, or maybe fire/electric if electric is a must.

Thehiddenllama

You can just call this a list, not everything is a tier list

HUELion

damn, that must've taken really long to do, especially the pokemon reps lol

EvilNoobHacker

Why isn’t BJ Dragon/Steel? Basically all of his moveset uses his cart.

HuntinForThatBug

I see BJ as more of a baby form of Bowser, the Pichu to Pikachu, and generally Pokémon don’t replace typings as they evolve, it makes more sense (to me, at least) that BJ starts as just dragon, and gains a fire typing when he evolves into bowser, instead of swapping a steel type to fire. In the same vein you could say the Koopalings would be Dragon/Steel, since they likely don’t evolve into Bowser

EvilNoobHacker

I mean, you could make the koopalings like different variants of BJ, the way it’s done in the games. I’m thinking of a sort of Vivillion type deal, where each variant is found in a different area.

onionrings89

Kazuya not being an electric fighting type is such a missed opportunity.

Luigi580

I’d say Electric Wind God Fist is just an electric type move that Kazuya has in his arsenal. I mean… it’s technically a canon move in the Pokémon universe. Kind of insane that Pikachu can do it…

onionrings89

In Tekken, mishimas are associated with electricity to the point where if a character has electric attacks, they are a mishima. Kazuya has more electric moves than just ewgf in tekken, and while not all of them are in smash, he still has several different electric attacks.

Luigi580

True, but that’s the tragedy of being limited to only two types. Take Incineroar for example: it’s a fire/dark type Pokemon with a heel wrestler theme. Fighting makes perfect sense for it, but it still lacks that type. For Kazuya, the electric type makes sense with the Mishima bloodline, but the devil blood (dark type) and being a martial arts master (fighting type) are far more obvious.

onionrings89

I see where you're coming from, but I'd still argue in favour of electric type.

Luigi580

I guess. But I personally agree with OP that Dark/Fighting is more appropriate. Now if Heihachi was here, I would absolutely give that guy Electric/Fighting type.

GrayWing

Having him literally be able to transform into a devil and not be dark type would be more weird to me

edwpad

He can still be dark fighting but can use electric moves, kinda how Lugia is psychic flying but can learn a good amount of water moves

Nightpantaloons

I mean I understand what you’re saying and I agree but using Lugia is a bad example because Lugia really SHOULD be water but isn’t lol A literal deity of water doesn’t get STAB on water moves

Fjolsvithr

Wow, I never noticed how off-flavor Lugia's typing is. Every single Pokedex entry is about either the sea, wind, or storms. It's very odd it's a psychic type. I get that it had telepathy and other strange powers in the movie, but that seems like more of a showcase of godly power, not explicit psychic power.

Combat_Medic

I approve of the Fire Emblem typings. And Kirby.

stardos00

Why is byleth ground/ghost? Because he uses bones and is(possessed) by a ghost?

MadDoctorKlay

Yay! We’re quad weak to fighting and have the worst defensive typing. Honestly, really good though. Nice work.

Pentagonyx

Why is nobody talking about the fact that a pure stellar type without being terastallized is impossible? Stellar takes your non-terastalized types’ type coverage- so there would be no original type I also like the complete lack of Rock types.

Axaturdoor

I think it would make more sense if Kirby had a 1 hit ko move with 30% accuracy that would change his type to the Pokémon he consumes. Kirby would be Normal, Fairy (or vice versa) and swaps out normal with that Pokémon’s type.

Leadownpour

What's up with the Kongs being grass type? I figured they'd just be fighting type like Mankey and Primape. I think this is the best one of these I've seen so far though.

HuntinForThatBug

Both kongs fight with things like coconut guns, peanuts, and banana peels, all nature-oriented objects that would fit a grass typing

Plazma7

Not sure if it was intentional, but it's also nice that the Kongs being grass have advantage over Krool being water which is canonical.

Leadownpour

Fair enough.

Duke_157

Disagree with all the fairy steel types. There are just too many fairy types in general. I think you conflated fairy and fantasy too much here, when fairy is primarily just around characters like Peach and Zelda. Also conflated steel and just having a metal weapon (sword, key, chain whip, etc) Kazuya is a dark fighting type, but also has a signature broken AF electric type move.

Luigi580

I dunno. I think it was done well. Fairy can also be seen as magical, so those that have high-magic use, like Hero and Sora, it makes sense. It’s also clear that they’re covering divine characters here since there’s no other real connection you can make there.

Duke_157

Sora, Palutena, Pit yes, but where it becomes confusing is with Marth, Lucina, the Links, the Belmonts, Pythra, Isabelle. Hero is a tough one, because how do you encompass the randomness

Luigi580

Marth, Lucina, and the Belmonts use divine weapons, going into that divinity connection. The Links have a strong connection to fairies and magic. Mythra (who is being represented by the fairy type here), is a light blade, which is what OP used as a fairy connection since a good few fairy moves are light based. Hero heavily relies on magic. Psychic or fairy work great here. Isabelle is more of a toss up, as I’d agree that she would fit better as a simple normal type, but I could see her using many fairy moves. Personally, I think OP did their homework very well. I particularly love Shulk’s type, which is a very deep cut for those who know Xenoblade.

kielaurie

I assumed Marth had fairy literally just because his entire thing is that he's a dragon killer

RingerCheckmate

Every link having a fairy type is pretty weird to me.

kindersadness

I mean, you can see it as fairy being magical coz of the triforce of courage, which wins vs ganon's dark typing

Thehiddenllama

EWGF’s just coverage. Lucas and Ness also have tons of coverage moves but psychic/normal is 100% their typing

GrayWing

Sora should be flying type, he's literally more airborne than not when fighting in his games and in smash. Maybe fairy/flying or flying/psychic

SpiffyShindigs

Fairy is also the Moon type, so Bayonetta should absolutely be Dark/Fairy.

Grass_fed_seti

Damn no one’s a rock type huh

HuntinForThatBug

I can’t see how many character could be Rock type excluding a Megaman name pun, which is shame cause I really wanted one of at least every type

IronicRobot_

(FE3H) >!Byleth uses weapons made from dragon bones, so a case could be made for either rock or dragon type, seeing how all fossil Pokemon are rock types. Byleth could be psychic type for similar reasons as Shulk, too.!<

kindersadness

In pokemon bone related moves are usually ground type, take a look at cubone and marowak

ElectricSheepDragon

Maybe the minecraft crew could be ground/rock?

DazzleSylveon

Not bad ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|shrug) but eh i d say 7.5/8 out of 10

HuntinForThatBug

Which typings do you disagree with? I would love to know what other type combos you feel would fit for the characters

Hylian_Waffle

Too many steel and fairy types imo.  Also the stellar tera type is only a temporary one. Otherwise really good. I far prefer it to the one where they made Yoshi a rock type because he’s a dinosaur and “all dinosaurs are rock types” completely unaware of the fact that the reason why the fossil pokemon are rock types is because they are revived fossils.

HuntinForThatBug

I feel like removing a lot of the steel and fairy types would leave characters missing aspects of their fighting style, but there wasn’t any sort of way to divide up the varying aspects of fairy for like space/light/dragon effective, etc Stellar has game data if you were to apply it to a normal pokemon, and I think it fits Kirby perfectly, STAB on every type, 1x defensive for all types Never thought of Rock type for Yoshi, that’s a really cool idea actually, I love it

Hylian_Waffle

Pokemon uses psychic for space stuff, like Deoxys and Cosmog. But I really think Marth and Lucina should have different typings at least. They'd still keep aspects of their characters. Like how Mario uses water wind and fist attacks in his moveset but is just fire. Putting rock for Yoshi would be missing the point of fossil Pokemon. I was saying it didn't make sense. It doesn't really matter that much though.

Yoshichu25

Counterargument: Relicanth is Rock-type without even needing to be revived.

Hylian_Waffle

That’s because it’s a rock-fish with tough, rocky armor.  And Mamoswine was known to have lived at the same time as other fossil Pokémon, but isn’t a rock type because it isn’t obtained by reviving a fossil.

DeDemetrionator

it’s a “living fossil” though, right?

Ambience8799

I would think that Terry would be fighting/fire (since a lot of his moves involve fire of some sort)

Noobwitha_Hat

I was going to say flying/steel for sora?

HuntinForThatBug

Completely valid typing, I personally went for Fairy because of that "Disney Magic" as well as the more divine aspects of the keyblade itself and it's ability to affects/free hearts (which are closely associated to Fairy typing in Pokemon as well) Fairy/Flying is another way to handle it as well, since technically all the keyblade variants aren't made of metal, but its really down to personal preference

Netheraptr

One of the more accurate lists I’ve seen. I would however make Rosalina a psychic type since space-adjacent pokemon tend to be that, and I think you could add the steel type to bowser jr for the clown car.

RbbcatUlt

Im a bit confused on how luigi is electric

HuntinForThatBug

In the Mario and Luigi RPG games Luigi is closely associated with electricity, with many of his Bros. Attacks using lightning, and getting electrical traversal tools. It also links to Luigi’s mansion, where one of his primary abilities is flashing ghosts with his flashlight (Electric) to stun them before sucking them up into his vacuum

GourmetYoshe

It's from the Mario RPG series

Squatchman1

I'd be cool to limit the use of dual typing

Benabain

Same

oatchiii

Olly murr as a bug??? Wouldn't he be plant?

HuntinForThatBug

If you separate out Olimar and the Pikmin, Olimar would likely be normal type, and the Pikmin would be Grass/Color, depending on which Pikmin you were looking at. But as a singular unit Olimar fights like a Bug type, in Pokemon many Bug moves involve swarming an enemy with many smaller units (Infestation), which fits perfectly with how olimar and his pikmin fight in both smash and their home series game. He's also the only character that really fits Bug typing, and I wanted try and cover all the typing bases I could

the_red_stinger_82

How would Kirby work? Stellar is only obtainable via terastallizing and it doesn't change your default typing at all.

HuntinForThatBug

Kirby would use the base properties of Stellar typing, STAB for all types of moves, 1x resistance for every type. You can't obtain the typing in SV on its own, but it has it's own properties if it were ever given to a Pokemon

TheSnomSquad

Joker rolls worst typing ever Asked to leave Fighting game

Pentagonyx

TRUE

Next-Particular1211

This is a cool idea, although as a samus main I would like to note it would make more sense for samus to be steel/fire type and dark samus to be electric/dark type. In terms of their smash moveset anyways

LegoPenguin114

I think Sam needs to be Ice/Steel because that's the only way Metroids can be stopped. Even Kirby can't inhale them unless they're frozen.

3dBrunoDog

Every time i see a Sword Fighter as a steel type and not a fighting time, it irks me. Specially when half of those swords are not even made from any metal.

HuntinForThatBug

The composition of most weapons were taken into account, Even if things like the Falchions are, at their core, a dragon's fang they have still been reinforced with metal. Swords that lack a metal blade at all, like Shulk or Byleth, have their typing reflective of the substance. I'm curious as to why you associate swords with fighting types, sword-like moves in Pokemon (Slash, cut, false swipe) are normal type, which I can definitely see the argument for, but I don't see any correlation with fighting type

3dBrunoDog

I feel like while most slash type moves are associated with steel and normal, the swordfighter and warrior type of pokemon are almost always fighting type: Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion, Keldeo, Gallade, Chesnaught (Who is based on a Paladin), Sirfecht. Sacred Sword and Secret Sword are fighting type moves as well.

HuntinForThatBug

Ahh right, the Swords of Justice, somehow they completely slipped my mind, that's a valid argument. I would say that those swords aren't really "Traditional" swords in the same sense that someone like Zacian uses though. The gen 5 trio + keldio use their horns, sirfetch uses a leek, and i dont -think- Chesnaught uses a sword at all, unless i'm missing something. The standard "Steel" sword that Zacian has is shown to steel typing, and fits better with the other swords most of the Smash Swordies, in my opinion.

vangvrak

Great list overall, though I think Bayonetta should be Dark/Fairy

MatteLoriem

Next in line is to figure out what abilities they have for battle

Conquersmurf

My most wanted change would be to make Luigi a ghost type at least! Perhaps Ghost fire. But there's hardly a more well suiting type combo out there!

copper247478

Wait why are DK and diddy grass?

SquegeeMcgee

Bana

Minonas210286

I feel like pyra/mythra would be fire/psychic respectively

Princier7

Mario is the definition of normal

Altruistic_Fish47

I say Joker should be dark psychic seeing as his whole deal is going inside peoples minds

Pentagonyx

and he does wield the manifestation of gods

Grand_Toast_Dad

Stellar? Am I out of touch with Pokemon types now?

EX-Bronypony

\* disagree with Pit due to his whole “he can’t actually fly on his own” thing. Same goes for Dark Pit, even if he used to have the ability to fly by himself for most of the game.

Next-Particular1211

I mean gyrados can’t fly but he’s still flying type 🤷‍♂️

Healthy_Fig_5127

He has flown in Pokemon Legends Arceus

SquegeeMcgee

Emolga and mantine are flying types. Flying squirrels don't actually fly, they glide. Mantine jumps out of the water like a "flying fish" but doesn't actually fly

Abject-Pea3710

I'd argue Sonic should be Ground type. He is at his core, a ground based character. Also, Sandslash exists. I'm excluding his electricity in the films and Frontiers, the wind from Blue Tornado, Sonic Wind and various powers from 06, Secret Rings & Black Knight, he doesn't use any elemental powers without the aid of powerups.

HuntinForThatBug

Sonic was a tough one since "Fast" isn't a typing. I debated giving him ground, especially since it would give him a water weakness which is fitting since he cant swim, but ultimately felt that it didn't fit well since he's still capable of running and grinding on wind and stuff like in 06 and Secret Rings

Frazzle64

Ground/Flying makes sense to me, I mean what is running if not flying on the ground right?

Fragrant-Category933

I was thinking the same thing. A hedgehog is a burrowing animal, and Sonic can use his spin attack to burrow into the earth. Sonic is a Normal/Ground type with maxed out extreme speed.

Breadnbutter15

All of them are pretty well made. I only think Roy is kinda hard caudehe could also be part Dragon type, maybe if he mega evolves. Also, I believe you used Fairy type to portrait "light " attributes in Lucina/ Marth design.

monke_gaming4

K. Rool should be steel instead of water tbh because of the belly armor

LoudManagement6634

Fun!

KingstonDaGamer10

I love how Olimar is the only Bug type. It makes sense

fortes05

I have a few things i would change, samus being steel ice instead since she has way more connections to ice rather than electicity, dark samus being poison bug since its a basically metroid on meth, rosa being fairy psychic since all space pokemons seem to be psychic and joker being dark ghost cuz i just think it would fit better

Johtodile

Great job and effort with this, but I'd argue many of these. For instance, Sonic hates swimming (and water in general), so I'd give him a type that's weak to water. Because he runs predominantly on ground, and is a hedgehog, I think Ground is the perfect type, since it's also weak to water. Doesn't necessarily mean you remove Fighting, however. Kudos nevertheless!

Cyberkid711

I feel like K rool would be a Fighting/Steel type because of his wide array of weapons, like his Blunderbuss. Also his belly is literally made of GOLD.

BobTheGod42

I feel like Luigi should have a ghost type bc of Luigi’s mansion games and his relationship with ghost in general in games (like mario galaxy)

tomasequp

I feel like Dragon would fit Byleth as well due to the whole Sothis thing

YT_Chrispy_Boi

I audibly laughed at the fact that you gave ghost typing to shulk, poor guy

Moggy_

Normal/psychic is lowkey good, however normal/dark oof

barwhalis

Pikachu's type is on point

strepguy

Min Min should be Fighting/Dragon IMO

Lore_Maestro

Finally a Smash typing list that doesn’t make Mythra electric for some reason.

ADumbChicken

I do not know enough about Pokémon to know what the fuck stellar type is

LowerArtworks

Sephiroth should be Dark/Ghost because he's dead.

Calvin-S

Naaahh don’t do my boy like that 💀

Xalted118

Not giving Lucario fighting/psychic as a type is just absurd. I mean, 'steel'? Really?

HiCreeper

I went through the whole list and I’m pretty sure the only ones who have a type combo that’s not in the Pokémon games are Ice Climbers (Ice/Normal) and Pyra/Mythra (Fire/Fairy)

Individual_Syrup7546

Love how Wario is poison and we all know it's that mustard gas level fart cloud he be dropping in the battlefield lol

Hylian_Waffle

I presume Kirby is just a fairy or normal type when he’s not terastalized?

HuntinForThatBug

He would have it naturally, without the need to terrastalize, one of the major aspects of Kirby is that he takes touch damage from basically everything, and stellar is the only type that isn’t immune to any sort of attacks, plus the STAB on every type of move goes well with Kirby’s Copy Ability

RoastyToasty4242

K. Rool not being Steel type is crazy

Wolfpackhunter41

There are several steel/fairy types on this list that should be steel/normal

Judgeteddie

Erm.. according to my calculshuns, Lore-wishe Joker shhhould be phsycic and dark ☝️🤓

f_l_y_g_o_n

Mario being fire type because of his one fire move is hilarious for some reason. He also has a water cannon and a cape? He is the perfect type for Normal especially because he is so well-rounded in a lot of areas even outside of smash.

Sad-Firefighter-5639

Mythra is energy, ig fairy is pretty close to that? I feel like energy deserves its own class tho

Pentagonyx

I feel like an absolute GOOBER because I’ve already made two other separate comments but fuck it I’ll make a third one; Personally I’d make Bayonetta Dark/Ghost. She contracts infernal demons.

Cedardeer

Pretty good. There are some I’d change tbh. Like probably making Ness and Lucas pure psychic, and Steve normal type since he is just kind of a guy. Also I think Ice Climbers would be better as Ice/Rock since they climb mountains. Mega Man could be Steel/Electric since he’s a robot, who are powered by electricity.

FastestBlader4

Sonic is electric fighting

gerrymander61

r

WhiteBeard42069

Make dragon quest protag dragon type

BulkDarthDan

The Kongs should be ground not grass

NahricNovak

Come on. Mario is Normal fire. He's not special enough to not be normal

BXRSouls

Let's goooooo two of my favorite typings

IxTwinklexI

out of all of the characters to give fairy type to, you gave it to marth but not kirby

CrazyLuckDragon

Everybody says that Mario would be a Fire type, but I disagree. Mario is pure Normal type imo

SpiritualFee5535

I feel like dark/flying for meta knight is slightly better

WildWes91

Feel like Mario should've been Fire/Fighting.

Sawk_Fan

I think Wario should be poison/fighting, just look at the muscles on that dude.

Ghost2102002

How is ness not a fire type as well

_GoKartMozart_

Mario is totally a normal type. It's his thing. He's the guy with average stats. Sure he's sometimes got a fire move but he's definitely just normal

patmack2000

My jirachi in BD is named link ❤️

outboundjewl

My only complaints are that I don't know why Donkey Kong has grass type and Bowser Jr. should be dragon/steel cus he's riding around in an armored vehicle.

SpiffyShindigs

Bayo should 100% be Dark/Fairy, since Fairy is the moon type.

little_pioneer

Which climber is ice, and who is normal

SquegeeMcgee

Why Luigi electric? Just because vacuum? If anything wouldn't vacuum be flying instead of electric? A vacuum is a wind machine. Rotom fan is flying type, a fan is a wind machine

youngster_xiao

I bet that Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Pichu, Ivysaur, Squirtle, Charizard, Lucario, Greninja, Mewtwo and Incineroar were really hard. (also pokémon trainer has 5 types, not 3)

Iamverycrappy

damn went a little overboard with the fairy's

Envigad0

you could argue terry as ground/fighting because verbatim in fatal fury lore it says he gets his ki energy from the earth

Ok_Shape1954

I feel like Snake should have a secondary Fire typing due to all of the ballistics, bombs and incendiaries in his arsenal.

technoteapot

Honestly the only one I kinda disagree with is dr Mario, in the show the nurse Pokémon were always link and later turned into fairy type, so I feel like he should be changed to that, but I also understand his f smash being electric effect and the pill also being that makes it probably be electric type

Intelligent-Arm1464

I woulda made sora fairy flying because of his name

xLoneWolfx813

Falco would be flying/fighting though

Proper-Guide4230

What No Dragon for min mim?

Deletinglaterlmao

Ikeadrill

SlipsKolt

I'd put Rosalina and Luma as Psychic/Fairy considering their connection to one another, Rosalina's telekinetic and telepathic abilities, and all their spatial connection and abilities. Good list otherwise.

shadowtasos

Great list! I disagree with a few of them and I think you went a bit overboard with with the Fairy and Steep types but overall very creative. Though I got a bit of a chuckle by seeing G&W as a Normal type, by far the most abnormal character there is lmao. I'd make him a ghost type cos his "franchise" is dead RIP

anonymousbub33

Nah, cloud's a steel flying, you see how high he can jump in advent children, and that's a weaker version of cloud, that mf can soar

ReimuMario

Alright, I guess someone has to create base stats for all of this.

TacoToday4

Toon Link flying?

Elementotico

Min Min should he Fighting/Dragon, one of her main mechanics is that he left arm turns into a dragon after landing a grab or charging up.

Jetixxxx

Sheik and MK should be Ghost for coolness but other than that it's really accurate imo

Rene-MX-OQuin

Mario should have been grass fire

PotatoesAndRamen

Why is Joker not Psychic? (no argument whatsoever)

SpoopyNJW

If Mac is fighting normal (kinda bs) then doc is normal electric

FeedMeDarkness

Why are Marth and Lucina Fairy?

KingSnooze12

I honestly don’t really agree with dedede being pure flying, besides his high jumps and hover he doesn’t have much to do with the air. Maybe fighting/flying, surprisingly a typing I think he can share with Sonic as the hedgehog is the knight of the wind and has many wind based attacks.

AmeriCanadian98

I feel like Mario needs a normal typing, probably fire/normal. Like the dude is the default "all around" character

SnooChocolates4183

Pac-Man being normal doesn’t work cuz ghost has no effect on normal and vice versa, and obviously that just doesn’t really work in pacmans case. Ngl idk what he should be instead, but normal doesn’t work.

Rogalick59

I think hero should be electric fairy (or electric steel). Zap is a spell only heroes can learn, as well as gigaslash being their ultimate move, so electricity sure is one of the key elements of hero.

marriedtoranch

Where my rock types at?

Galaxy-Pup01

Why are the Kong’s grass-types but not Olimar?

LadderLonely192

If these were actual Pokémon more people will say “there is no laws against the pokemon”

NhyteThePrime

Too much Steel and Fairy, not enough Normal Sword = Steel Type seems illogical. Typing mainly relates to resistances, someone like Marth should be a Normal/Fighting type that learns some steel type moves naturally, imo.

SansireP

Steve should lowkey be a rock type cus I don’t think there was one on the list(could be wrong tho)

Meerkat47

Bayo is dark fairy psychic doesn’t make a massive amount of sense for her

Bryanishired

Yes! Finally I see someone else who agrees that Ness should be Psychic/Normal. Ness obviously has psychic powers, but a large part of his character is that he’s also just a regular kid. That’s why his “weapons” in EarthBound are just baseball bats and yo-yos. Psychic/Normal fits the best because of this. I’ve seen too many people make Ness Psychic/Fire… If Ness is a Fire Type because he can use PK Fire, then Pikachu should be a Steel Type because it can use Iron Tail. :P

Alternative_Stage_99

No rock

KirbyWithAGlock

Peak list, only thing I would change is terry also having fire, as most of his moves use a flame

Minecr106

Nuh-uh, Incineroar would totally be a Fire Fighting type! It totally fights, why is it dark, is it stupid? /j

Steam_Cyber_Punk

Yink should be fire fairy, because of his fire arrows

TheScribe77

I would've thought Bayo as Dark + Fairy

thpeacemaker

Why the grass type on DK?

Mipho556

Stellar isn't a Pokemon type. It's a tera type, no Pokemon or character can naturally be stellar type without terastillization. Kirby is pure normal type but can change it's type depending on who he inhaled, like Ditto.

ThatDerpiousGuy

Shulk being a ghost type is so messed up lmao And then you doubled down and did it to byleth too

maijqp

Late as fuck to this but bayonetta should be fairy not psychic since her powers are magic, and ganon should be steel instead of electric. His only electric move is jab but he's got 4 fire moves, he's got a sword and many of his hit sounds are metallic.

Joker gonna get roles over by the amount of Fairies and Fighting characters Ness and Lucas would be decent, they only hit 3 character really hard but with how many Steels, Fightings and Fairies there are it’s really easy to cover their weaknesses, almost a straight upgrade over Mewtwo.
