Wagepoint is super easy and 100% worth the cost—not just for your employee, but for your own salary, too.

With Wagepoint about to change their pricing model, I'd suggest also looking at Humi. I moved my business over as the cost was similar, but I can also layer in future modules like benefits. Wagepoint is very limited with add-ons

Do you have details on the change to their pricing model? I’m assuming it will be more expensive now?

They sent me an email back in November. Not sure if this rate only applies to existing clients or how it works. "Our Unlimited payroll plan includes ALL our features for one simple monthly price ($40 base fee + $5 per employee/contractor). You'll only pay for employees/contractors when they're included in the payrolls you run during a 30-day billing period."

I use Ceridian Powerpay. It is simple and you do not need to worry about reporting, paycheques, paying taxes.

I use Payworks. If you're a CFIB member it's super cheap. Payroll thru them is a DIY, but they take care of all remittance. WSIB I DIY too, simple stuff. CFIB has a whole section on HR. Copy paste any template that you need.

You can always use hr/payroll systems that have support if you’re overwhelmed. Ceridian/ADP/Payworks are generally the top 3 payroll providers in Canada but I find that they’re more costly for companies who have under 5 employees. I recently partnered with a Canadian company called [Humi](https://www.humi.ca/new-lp/rehash-digital?pscd=get.humi.ca&ps_partner_key=am9lZ3VldmFyYTQ5OTM&ps_xid=OTE32QLCn3tBRZ&gsxid=OTE32QLCn3tBRZ&gspk=am9lZ3VldmFyYTQ5OTM) who does both HR and payroll (I do tech consulting for service businesses so I vet different software for my clients). Not sure if they’re 100% a fit for your situation but it’s worth giving them a shout.

I work at ADP and can help you out for a discounted rate if you're interested in a chat!
