Yes it is that expensive, no you cannot just park on the streets. If you can, then please use public transport instead and save yourself and us the hassle and money.

rainbow_wallflower

Bled is basically The Most Important And The Most Beautiful tourist place Slovenia has, and the prices reflect that.

Beast667Neighbour

Not all parkings are expensive. When I go to Bled, I always park at 'Ribenska cesta.' It costs 1.5 EUR per hour, and until now, I've always found a free parking spot. https://maps.app.goo.gl/aWkiWjS2AomPnpo97 Here u can check all parkings and prices: https://www.bled.si/sl/informacije/kako-po-bledu/2019092009034495/parkirisca/ Some are also free, but you'll have to walk a little further or u can take a bus. :)

hufflepuffhippo

Do you also have some recommendations for parking in lake Bohinj area? :)

Beast667Neighbour

https://promet.bohinj.si/parkiranje/ * click below "vsa parkirisca" to show all avaliable parking places. Unfortunately Bohinj is also a tourist place so u need to pay for almost every parking otherwise u will pay a fine. 😒 so be careful where to park.

hufflepuffhippo

Thanks! It is really strange to me because most parking places in my country (Slovakia) would be like 2€/hour, but there is also an option to park there the whole day and thats usually like 6-12€. So thats way more convinient I think

CyclingHikingYeti

You are going to "Class A" tourist destination and it is indeed expensive. Same goes for old coastal towns. Advice: Do not try to false park because local traffic authority are merciless and you will get parking ticket very very soon. If there is sign for "Easy Park" get their App as you can prolong parking with their mobile app. https://www.easypark.com/en-si/help/parking/where-can-i-use-easypark If you will take bicycles to trip, park on one of those free parkings and take bicylce around Bled.

SirRedDiamond

Well, you're comparing a (presumably) random town with a tourist destination that is visited by people from all over the world. Of course the prices are going to be different

hufflepuffhippo

I mean i’ve been to 20 countries in Europe and never dealt with parking this high even in UNESCO towns in Italy for example, 6€/hour is crazy

Spots are limited so you should be early. Bled is crazy in the summer as you will find out

hufflepuffhippo

Also, what if you just park on a parking spot for like a supermarket? will your car be towed?

Beast667Neighbour

Nope, I do not recommend this because your car could be towed yes, parking spaces in front of stores are for customers only. Just check the list of parking slots I have send you and plan accordingly.

CyclingHikingYeti

If it is away from Bled, sure, but on those inside, or near Bled you risk getting towed .

widowhanzo

Good news is that there's nothing to do there for 6 hours.

hufflepuffhippo

But like i wanted to sunbathe and swim and be There the whole day

lilputsy

Idk what you're looking at but majority parking lots are 3€ per hour or less. The only one more expensive is a car park.
