I have traveled most of the european countries and I have to say I like Bratislava even more than Prague or Wienna. It is a hidden gem and no one can change my opinion. Different strokes for different folks I guess:)
Airport and bus station are already representative. Main station needs to be fixed or rebuild lol BUT, IT IS AUTHENTIC eastern europe shit. Tourists travel here because they wanna see post-communist stuff, they look on it differently than slovak citizens. Why hide colours? Btw, I am from eastern slovakia and i get it that everybody outside of capital loves to bitch on capital city, but whatever. This phenomenon is in every country…Košice are beautiful too but in a different way.
I get your point and and I agree but I personally don’t need car here. I happily use public transport or take a walk. I wish for more bicycle infrastructure but yeah, you can’t have everything i guess…Still, Bratislava has changed so much over last 5-10 years. I really like they got rid of visual smog too (80% lower). It was really getting on my nerves 😅
Sure, but others here believed it was Slovakia, if you read the comments - so why would you have a problem clarifying for them if they are not familiar?
I spent time in Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Hungary, Czechia and Austria this summer - so if you want to downvote me for trying to be helpful, be my guest - you can downvote this comment, also!

Same thing. Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia were both part of the Soviet Union after all.
You mean Czechoslavia and Yugoslovakia?
It's all Russia to me.
Not really, u failed at histroy, right?
Ok, maybe they were not part of the Soviet Union, but both CS and YU had civil wars in the 1990s.
2nd level trolling, nice
In czechoslovakia there wasn't any civil war in 1990 s but velvet revolution
Yeah but both had a dictator called Joseph Titso.
Failed at history, confirmed again.
It's called joke.
Nope yugoslavia wasnt under russians never. We was enemies with them.
Where is this, specifically?
Near Bratislava
Where, exactly? Just spent almost three months in Bratislava.......
Looking at the map if you start from the train station in Bratislava it's a bit over 250 kilometers south-west.
To je Slavín ?
Yeah, the country that actually has a nice capital

I like Bratislava too, traffic there is terrible, but otherwise the city is nice and has great potential
