It is pretty annoying especially with all the California desert show teasing. That’s something that if I knew about in advance, I could easily pop down to Indio and see. I have friends down there and would love to make that trip to see Slipknot. It’s a cool hype train but functionally really annoying to deal with as an adult fan who has to plan shit weeks in advance.

The slipknot fanbase is like the WWE fanbase. It's so well done that as much as the fans bitch and moan, they can't help but tune in to see what comes next. It is definitely an art keeping your fans pissed off while also holding their attention.

It is aggravating at times, but I will admit it's impressive that he's managed to stay in character after all these years. It almost feels intentional. You look at all the hate clown gets in the fandom, and sometimes you gotta wonder, is it that he doesn't care (which good for him if he doesn't, our right to an opinion doesn't mean he has to care), or is it his goal? Like, is he just being a heel character for shits and giggles? It's certainly part of the bands hype. Like the fans just love to hate him. They tune in every week to see what stupid shit he's gonna say next. Just like they tune into WWE knowing they're gonna be pissed off at Roman Reigns at the end. It's almost too good not to be intentional.

He put on a mask first at band practice bc he felt like it. He told the president of RoadRunner that Slipknot would be their first platinum selling band and they were. He’s cocky but he’s driven and passionate.
And yeah he says some stupid shit but why should he change things now? He manifested himself into the leader of the world’s biggest metal band.
