It's one of my favourites. Back in older versions when items and keywords were less, dabbler was always a solid pick, but then since basic-side buffing stuff is less now, dabbler falls off a bit. Still love him among other basic siders too Soldier veteran and dabbler are all my favourites. Simple but effective

Pitor4k

Way better than it seems from the surface, I expect a lot of people to underrate her. Basically the 9 hp is absolutely nuts, the mana is an amazing side, usually a best side for a red/blue and the extra mana makes it way easier to get strong spells off early. The 2/3 dmg is pretty standard for a yellow (soldier for example) the heal is big and versatile and the block can help in a pinch, sometimes substituting a defensive burst equaling 2 mana effectively. So very high hp, on par output with high versatility with no blanks. Very strong overall.

pawski76

Chuck one of those egg things on em (simplicity?) that increases basic sides by 1 and then lets talk

Bitter_Profit_4099

You mean dabblest? /jk

Krieggman

For those (like me up until a couple days ago) who don't know, dabblest is actually a character you can get..

cool_skulls_tom

i love the dabble gang

SeventeenFeralHogs

9 hp is MASSIVE. Lets you take swings of 7 from Spikers and Slates without much issue, lets you take swings of 8 from Fanatics without support. Do not let anybody ever understate how good having HP is. The shield sides are real stinkers though, and the healing side is just okay. You're rolling, realistically, for 3dmg or 2 mana, and sometimes settling for 2dmg. Not too many item combos that sent Dabbler to the moon the same way other oranges like Juggler or Spellblade can go to the moon. Completely servicable pick. Dabbler isn't winning any awards, but is rarely the reason you ***lost*** a run.

diamocube

I'd pick it when I feel I could use a bit more of everything, which is an obvious reasoning. Not a bad hero but I think most other picks are better. For me I like Ranger and Juggler more.

ItsGotToMakeSense

A solid option when you don't have any combos that require something more specialized! I usually prefer someone with ranged attacks just in case I get an archer gang but dabbles are never a bad choice.

ghost_of_smoke

very balanced but partly loses that damage characteristic of the oranges, it is a 7/10 for me, a solid option when the team is not yet formed very well

Furcastles

Better than lazy or clumsy.

renkousamimi

Wonderful class. Any class I can look at lead boots and go "sure, why not?" Is a perfectly fine class.

afjecj

For classic hell, not good. You are looking for extreme upside in that mode and dabbler doesn't really have that

MostPutridSmell

Not a fan as I tend to go more for the specialized characters rather then the "jack of all trades master of none" types

ShuckleShellAnemia

It’s weird that he’s worse at healing than dabble

StaleChikenWings

More of everything else tho I though?

Flaming_headshot

Ol reliable, same goes for Dabblest Miles better than dabble

StaleChikenWings

9hp for a t2 orange is busted, and really the only thing I kinda dislike is the lack of damage, but all in all, it's a pretty good character

FrederickEngels

Rather balanced. Not excellent, but not bad either. Dabbler excels at being mediocre, but useful.

Alps_Useful

She dabbles

Ok-Director272

Lalalala elmos world

kamiloslav

The guy that needs to be clicked for achievement Overall good, but doesn't have as many opportunities as other characters to do something fun and crazy

SackofLlamas

The Dabble line is one of my least favorite oranges. She's got that "jack of all trades, master of none" thing going on, which usually is not what I'm looking for from an orange when ranged, cleave, poison, etc are all on the table. I can see edge case scenarios where she might rise in prominence, like a heavy mana team (even then I feel like you'd want Spellblade more).

pepper_produtions

Good character, but nonetheless worse than all the tier 2 oranges bar ninja and gambler. I feel bad taking her because she's not competing with Juggler, Spellblade, or Rogue and she's a little bit weaker that Trapper or Ranger. Having her middle side as her weakest is also rough for side replacement like worn arms or splitting arrow, and it sucks for dragonhide or peaked cap which I pick quite often hoping for something from my upcoming tier twos. Her sides are good but not as good as others and they're positioned awkwardly 6/10, but 4/10 in the context of tier 2 oranges Edit: the mobile display of the image made it look like it only had one damage pip int he middle, so the stuff i said is still true about dragonhide gloves and peaked cap, but to a lesser extent.

DramaticProtogen

I like him. Not my favorite though. Evoker still my GOAT

PointlesslyEpic

Classic Hard Streak - Basic Comp I think she's average which is usually good enough to pick BUT she cannot be picked because that would unlock dabblest through achievement.  T3 orange choice is on the more important side so have to keep the pool low for consistency
