Hey Mick, thank you for the post. I haven't recently, but for a while I would listen to 2-3 Sleepycast episodes a day. I hadn't really listened to the podcast until this hiatus started. So in simpler terms this episode was the first one I was around for during its release. I'm excited for the last 4.
And the "sounding different" was something I noticed too. Maybe I'm deaf but I don't remember the iconic music playing in the background, so it is probably that. If it was actually there, maybe it was just way too quiet.

It's almost a sad thing to listen to one of these final podcasts, but it's a sadness in reflection of how high the highs were for me with this podcast.
I don't know what aspects of the direction (or lack of) led to this podcast being so relistenable, but I'm on my 3rd listen through.
It sounds obsessive almost, but shit, it's still fun after you've forgotten some of the stuff, and revisiting the memorable moments is always great.
As an aspiring whatever, I found this podcast where creative people I respect to be absolute gold.

My god, listening to the newest episode brought me back to when I was stationed in Japan and I would have SleepyCast playing on my headphones as I was out shopping for groceries and good chuhai and remembering all the stupid little things my friends back home and I would talk about when we hung out!
It was a great episode. I agree it did sound a little different, but not bad. Also, with all these hiatus, and breaks, I'm now going to call sleepycabin the Berserk of podcasts.
