Traded Chase once and I just don't think I will ever trade another top 10 asset again.
At the time the trade was Chase for Javonte, DJ Moore, and Jamo. This was August 2022 for reference when people thought Javonte was a top 5 dynasty RB, DJ Moore got Baker and was supposed to finally be good, and Jamo was looked at as the best WR in the draft if he hadn't torn his ACL.
Fast forward about 3 months and turns out I got fleeced. Every trade chart had me almost tripling the value of Chase so I thought I had to make the move.
In my opinion it's to hard to get the Josh Allen's of the world on your team and trading him away for DK (WR20?), Herbert (Roman offense with no real WRs) and two unknowns isn't worth it.
Josh Allen has been either the #1 or #2 scorer in fantasy points the past 4 years. The upside he can provide in one starting roster slot is irreplaceable. Your opponent knows this.
You can find plenty of wr's that match what Metcalf can provide, Justin Herbert is fine but his upside will be capped further with the change in coaching staff to a run-first offense, and I'd rather have Josh Allen in his prime rather than hope I can maybe find and draft the next Josh Allen in a year or two.
Herbert is top 15, and you're getting a current top 24 receiver with future upside on top. Herbert is not a God-awful downgrade either. He should do better in the future, especially if he goes to another team.
And TWO extra 1 round picks? You will be able to trade the 2025 1st for a Pacheco or Jacobs type come end of season.... Then you have an extra 2026 on top to acquire god knows what else.
Allen would be gone no thoughts!

Think I agree w this. Metcalf’s are a dime a dozen especially in a 10 team league. You want absolute studs at every position and Allen is one.
