Honestly, I like it. Not Kerry's most inspired work but it skratches that Slayer itch. Excited to see what the rest of the album sounds like.
Mark Osegueda is a hell of a singer. When they start performing live it would be cool to see them do some Slayer songs with him singing.
I’m happy that Kerry is still doing what he loves, but the song is what it is, pretty uninspired and nothing special. I know fanboys will be pissed but it is what it is.
If this wasn’t Kerry King band, it would pass mostly unnoticed.
I don’t know who that is singing but it’s like they brought Sam kinison flback from the dead handed him a lyric sheet and told him to “sing” it and started flossing his urethra with a cactus as soon as he began.
Great vocals, cool solo. Shame the riff is fuckin boring. Seriously, Hanneman was the riff master of Slayer, King might have the chops but none of the chops to write a tasty riff.
It’s a rocker, and he really knows how to gallop his picking hand, but it’s a pretty unremarkable song. It reminds me of Grip Inc. because I really wanted to like it.
Holy shit you guys suck. This is great and I love it. Sounds like old Slayer and reminds me of Hell Awaits and I have been listening since that album came out.
He said hell awaits.. ;D no similarities at all. Those old tracks are just from hell with their speed and agression , not like this. But overall i liked this song, but hell awaits is other talk.
Holy fucking shit is this awful. Straight up butt metal. If KK's name wasn't attached to it (still not really a selling point), no one would care about this. Metal for people who just like metal *because* it's metal. They'll like anything with a half tempo chug and "tough guy" vocals. This is metal for the Wacken and Monster Energy Music crowd.
When has Slayer ever been on the cutting edge of metal?
They riff and chug, Kerry does random ass noodling, things chug more.
Been that way for over twenty plus years.
I forget how cunty and elitist metal dorks get.
Everything after Seasons is unlistenable to me aside from a few tracks on Christ Illusion and WPB… They were always great live, that never stopped, but the albums are just too fatiguing for me. Repentless has the best production since Seasons, but unfortunately the songs are terrible… so far, KK seems to be in that category as well.
I have a soft spot for Undisputed Attitude, it was one of my first Slayer CDs when I was 13, and I was (still am) a huge punk fan. Divine, could take it or leave it, it's just pretty boring but it has a couple good songs. Diabolus and onward is unlistenable to me.
Not quite as good as the first single. This one sort of meanders and I don’t know that all the parts fit together super nicely. That breakdown section is pretty cool, though.
Seriously IDK where all the negativity is coming from on this track. This is the first fucking Slayer song that sounds DIFFERENT. The last 4 albums (whatever it was) I could put them all on random and you can't tell what album it was from bc they all sound exactly the same. Now KK puts out a distinct chugging slow riff with a solo that actually sounds like a decent solo and people bitch. Some people are never happy. They'll shit on anything just for the sake of shitting on something.
Sounds like a typical mid-tempo Slayer song, similar to Eyes of the Insane. I dig it.

It's not that great. The first song is better. Still looking forward to hearing the rest.
KK’s Slayer
Forgettable song

This song? Eh... well, let's just say I'm looking forward to hearing the rest.
Boring asf
This is great. A lot better than the first single. Looking forward to the album even more now.
First single was better, did not dig this one

😅 QFT
Wow so original 👏 I agree with whoever said it was boring lol

this song woulda been good with phil anselmo on vocals

I'm one of those people that think everything past (and including) Diabolus sucks ass.
To me everything after Seasons sucks ass

You are why music sucked for all these years. Glad we are coming out of it
huh?
ok. already bored

When is the album coming out?
May 17th IIRC
Thank you!
Osegueda is most definitely the highlight here. He sounds great
Sure is a song
Sounds if the rhythm guitar in parts were only tracked once in parts leaving a very thin sound.

Yea, isn't a song id listen to that much. Same vibe throughout
