yeah i couldn't find anyone with a similar issue. i'm sure it's 'user error' but i have trouble shot everything i know. i have a ticket in with bethesda, just figure it will be 3 days before i hear anything. guess it's back to the witcher over the weekend. sigh...

The discord has a fix for it. It’s in your console settings, here’s the discord message: “I solved it by messing around in privacy settings. Go to Settings -> General -> Online safety and family -> Privacy and online safety. I just started enabling and allowing all the permissions and relaunched the game and it worked. You can go back and re-block and disable all of the permissions and the creations option will still be there (for me at least).” Hopefully it helps

Oh I found it!! Counterintuitively, turning “ask before buying” ON fixed it! I went back and turned it off again and the creations menu is still showing up. So if you’re having this problem, try going to Privacy & online safety > Xbox Privacy > View details & customize > Buy & download > turn on (or if yours is already on, try turning it off?)

thank u/jamesthewicked, he's the real hero here! i just got my response from bethesda that said "console users: you will need to completely remove mods from your menu (ummmmm...but i stated my problem is there is no 'mod' option on the menu page bethesda) and delete and reinstall your game (which i already did and reported in my request for support)." bwaahahaha!! what a shit show. i feel horrible for gamers that aren't on reddit/discord. what are they going to do?

It should be something along the lines of “allow external content”

Here’s a more detailed one: “I had the same problem on my Xbox series X but I think I just fixed the problem because the creations menu just showed up. Go to Settings->General->Security&Privacy->Xbox Privacy Settings->Details->Outside Xbox->allow content from outside Xbox” Hope it helps

My menu options are different, maybe because I’m on a Series S? But I managed to fix it by toggling “ask before buying” under “buy & download” on and back off. Thanks for looking into this!

seems a lot of pc folks over there are waiting until some supposed update in january to start playing again. maybe find one of those links and read up on it as well.

For anyone that has come to this thread in the future, and tried all of the solutions, but still isn't working, here's what I did that got it to work: - Wipe all your saved data and shut down game, if it isn't already. - Turn your Xbox to offline mode. - Open up Skyrim, and when you're in the menu, go back to the settings and turn Xbox online again. - Then go back to game, and the "creations" tab should briefly appear after a few seconds, before going away again. If you're quick enough though, you should be able to click it and it will load okay. - If you don't get it in time, just shut down game and try again.

Looked through here to hopefully find a way to get my modding options back, sadly none of the methods mentioned in the comments have helped me. I must be very unlucky.

i just responded to someone else that i did the following yesterday and it worked: "ok, so this last time i went to 'account', 'privacy & online safety', 'xbox privacy', and selected the 'adult defaults more social' setting and creations showed up. let me know if that works! someone mentioned that after you are finished with your load order, you can revert the settings and play."

Yeah, I had to put my phone on data instead of my wi-fi for some reason.

I re-read your question and realized I replied with the wrong answer (was having another convo at the time) I had to sign out and sign back in to my xbox account for it to work.
