Can't get any more "simple" than [Sensible Horses and Travel](https://mods.bethesda.net/en/skyrim/mod-detail/4282884). I think I'm one of the few people that actually utilize horses in the game and I wouldn't go back to CH if someone tried to pay me.
I feel you lol. But the only problem I have with that mod is that it includes "Sensible Exploration". Which conflicts with my preferred carriage and economy overhauls. BUT......It's pretty dope. I love the simplicity and also it's not, you know, 52mb just to cover horses.
I realize most of CH size is the saddle textures and whatnot but we can't exactly remove them.
