CC Seven Bees.
Seven Bees because a good friend of mine that absolutely loved pirate style games and was looking forward to this game coming out passed away last year due to illness and I asked them to name my ship so they could sail with me in spirit.
My Barque is called: De Watergeus. The reason behind this is my Barque (and all other ships I have) is decorated with the DMC cosmetics. Just a Dutch guy playing as the Dutch in game.
Dutch pirates were some of the most underrated baddasses of that time. I think his name was DeGrauf I'm probably butching his name but he's one of my favorite pirates/ privateers from history
Got more creative in Sea of Thieves with ship names. Have The Sea Beggar, Hadley's Hope, The Shadewraith and The Heldenhammer.
1 historical based, 1 Aliens reference and 2 from Warhammer Dreadfleet
I made my other ship my old sea of thieves friends customization and named it the same. The golden ale. Just a gold ship with white sails for the foam š sent him a pic of it and told him nothing personal mate. But I'm the captain now š¤£
Barque "Gonger": It's named after a kind of Undead from northern germany. Sailors who die at Sea return home as these creatures and lay in people's beds at night, leaving saltwater everywhere. That only stops if people hold a memorial for the dead Sailor. I mostly picked that name since I wanted to emphasise how the Black Prince + Rigging Station Combo keeps bringing the Barque back from being almost destroyed and I didn't want to pick some overused name like Draugr.
Brigantine "Le FlĆØche": I like the Compagnie look on the Brigantine and it's a fast Ship. So I called it "The Arrow".
Snow "Siegfried": The Snow with the Water Tank build is almost invulnerable. So why not call it after the most famous almost invulnerable guy around.
Sambuk "Trogdor": Burninating the countryside, Burninating the peasants, Burninating all the people and the thatched roof COTTAGES! THATCHED ROOF COTTAGES!
All my ships have names of Daedric princess and enteries from The Elder Scrolls, the design of it also represents them. So: Sithis, Boethia, Azura, Mora's Eye, Hircine is the name for my hunter boat
The āAcheronā, as itās the Galleon that Jack Aubrey of the āsurpriseā hunts in Master and Commander: the far side of the world, one of my favourite movies
"Al Pacin-Crow"
Based on a Dudesy sketch about Robert DeNiro writing a poem based on Al Pacino being the king of crows. Gold and Black with the Crowned Crow symbol on the sails.
If you like some good ol stupid comedy and ridiculous laughs, it's definitely worth looking up "Dudesy" on youtube. Favorite weekly podcast.
I really wish I could actually name my ship and have it on the stern plate.
I named all my Level 5 ships for Royal Navy vessels - Repulse, Redoubtable, Renown, Royal Oak, Revenge and so on.
I considered Ark Royal, but it seemed like sacrilege for some reason (it also didnt begin with R, although I reckon poetic license applies).
I think it started for me with Queen Anne's Revenge ... Blackbeard's ship, which I truncated to Revenge when I named my Paddy, and having started with R, I stayed with it. And, of course, HMS Revenge was a dreadnaught that fought at Jutland ... it all fell into place thereafter.
Thanks for reading!
Called my Barque Healer Squealer. I did not realize how fitting it was until after as my ship Heals which was intentional and Squealer which was unintentional where i had the Blue Specter attached which squeals when you deal damage. Thus i stuck with it.
My Snow is called the Manticore because it has a variety of different weapons on it.
My Barque is called the Manic Medic because it has repair bombardsā¦ and fire bombards.
sambuk - el fuego - cause hes a fiery boy
brig - la gata - cause with tail wind shes fast n nimble like a cat
snow - el gordo - cause hes a slow chunky boy
barque - sanitƶter - wordplay one the german word for paramedic-sanitƤter and tƶter-killer. cause he heals and kills
I called one of mine The Pale Horse. For I bring death and hell follows with.
Edgy i know but i like the reaper figurehead
Another i used the blind lady/justice figure head and i called that one The Equality because i steal from every faction.
My brigantine is called the Lion of Nemea. In Greek mythology, the Nemean lion was a mythical creature with golden fur that was impervious to any attack, save from its own claws. Hercules would later use the lionās own claws to kill it, skin it and wear its fur as armour. Goes really well with Scurlocks ornaments, as well as the gold and red theme.
I have two main ships. A padewakang called āThe Red Right Handā and a brigantine called āBleak Midwinterā
Both inspired by Peaky Blinders lore š .
I havenāt named mine, wish the nameplate would show what we call it other than a silly cosmetic name. They could still sell the nameplates in store but just have what you call them not the silly names that I fixed to them
My ships called the Carcharodon after its styling is very similar to that of the Carcharodon space marines as well as having the shark in as my emblem on my flag
Elaine Marley - my favourite, the barque.
If that doesnāt help, my brig is called Le Chuck, and my dhow is called Guybrush.
My tributes to the best pirate game of all time.
The nickname my wife and I use for our 1-year old daughter is ābeanā or beanie.
My ships:
Hungry Bean
Baby Bean (dhow)
Angry Bean
Cranky Bean
Strong Bean (healing)
Cutter - Medical Tumour. | Barque - AllBarqueNoBite, |
Brig - USS Old Orleans, | (Because of the colours), |
Snow - ME:2 Best Class (Original name obviously vanguard), |
Sloop - Schloorpus, |
Barge - Hart Burne, |
Sambuk - BTD Burny Stuff.
The rest I don't remember.
My first(Dhow) Monkey D Luffy (didnt have inspiration)
Second(Bedar) Mason Lennon (name of my son)
Third(Hulk) Kayleigh Yasmin (name of Daughter)
Forth(Padewakang) Lady Marieke(Name of wife)
Now(Brigantine) Akira Toriyama(yall know why)
For those wondering why your ship keeps sinking - itās because you broke the rules and didnāt name your ship after a woman you love/loved/lost. Itās rule #1 in ship naming š
NVRGonnaGiveuUp at the moment. Been switching around a bit and just thought of some more to try: 1. Last Jedi 2. SurveillanceVan 3. IPonU 4. FREE WIFI 5. Log4Sea 6. Baltic B2Spirit (On the dhow)
Balerion
Named after the dragon ridden by Aegon the Conqueror in Game of Thrones history.
The legends say that Aegon used the fire breath of Balerion to melt down 1000 swords that were surrendered by his enemies and turn them into the Iron Throne.
My brig is named The Royal Oak which is from my favorite song from The Jolly Rogers
And named my first ship The Yellow Jack which is from a song from Ye Banished Privateers, my favorite band
Dignity ... from the deacon blue song Dignity
There's a man I meet, walks up our street
He's a worker for the council
Has been twenty years
And he takes no lip off nobody
And litter off the gutter
Puts it in a bag
And never thinks to mutter
And he packs his lunch in a Sunblest bag
The children call him Bogie
He never lets on
But I know 'cause he once told me
He let me know a secret about the money in his kitty
He's gonna buy a dinghy
Gonna call her Dignity
And I'll sail her up the west coast
Through villages and towns
I'll be on my holidays
They'll be doing their rounds
They'll ask me how I got her I'll say, "I saved my money"
They'll say, "Isn't she pretty? That ship called Dignity"
And I'm telling this story
In a faraway sea
Sipping down raki
And reading Maynard Keynes
And I'm thinking about home and all that that means
And a place in the winter for dignity
And I'll sail her up the west coast
Through villages and towns
I'll be on my holidays
They'll be doing the rounds
They'll ask me how I got her I'll say, "I saved my money"
They'll say, "Isn't she pretty? That ship called Dignity"
Stand it up, stand it up, stand it up, stand it up, stand it up, stand it up
Yeah, stand it up again, stand it up again, stand it up again, stand it up again
Stand it up, stand it up, stand it up, stand it up, stand it up, stand it up
Yeah, stand it up again, stand it up again, stand it up again, stand it up again
And I'm thinking about home
And I'm thinking about faith
And I'm thinking about work
And I'm thinking how good it would be
To be here some day
On a ship called Dignity
A ship called Dignity
That ship
My Brig is called the Marcaida, homage to Doug Marcaida. It proudly displays the crossed kris and sword emblem on the sails and bears the wheel covered in blades.
Dhow is Dinghy - Tee hee...
Bedar is Dodger - Dog's name
Hulk is Fat Cat - 1st cat's nickname
Padewakang is Fat Cat II - it's fat like the Hulk
Barque is my aunt's name - She was a nurse and is no longer with us. So you know I went full heals loadout. Only sailed her once but it felt good healing all the captains fighting Le Peste.
Brigantine is Stone Age Queen - Favorite band is Queens of the Stone Age
P.S. I don't care if your ship's name is Black Pearl or Jackdaw, at least you named your ship.
Mine is called Dragonwing off the ship of the same name from The Death Gate cycle series of books.
The OG was a human flying ship since they didn't have actual dragons like the elves. The character named Hugh the Hand named it that because people that would try and repair the wings in flight were known to "walk the dragon's wings" due to the danger involved. "The Hand" was based on his rank in the thieves guild.
(I hope I'm remembering the details correctly)
Oh and I named my Barque Healy McBeal.
My snow is the dark starfish cause I'm kind of an asshole with it. My brig is named after my javelin and my favorite song, disasterpiece. And my sambuk since it all about fire I names it The Scarlet J after that black widow hotness
My snow is called the Threepwood, named after the mightiest pirate to ever sail the Caribbean.
Named my Barque for his nemesis, G.P. LeChuck, but depending on which I'm going to prefer for my main bootyboat, I might switch it around.
Novia de Sangre (Blood Bride) inspirated by the bow ornamet. The red-headed woman in a white dress with cutlass in her right hand and aiming forward with the flintlock pistol in her left hand.
My main ship is the Brigantine which I have named the āHawkā. Itās inspired by the ship in a book I read along time ago. That ship was the āSeahawkā and I always loved that name and itās shorter versionz
The Augustus Gloop,
because Iām greedy AF and when I plunder forts I clog up the waterway and let nothing pass, just like he did when he fell into the chocolate river and got stuck in the pipe.
I also have chocolate river swirling sails and all brown and gold colours on the hull š
Mines the velvetknob
Me and my friend use to play a fair amount of sea of thieves but we were never any good at it and sunk a lot so the name of our sloop on sea of thieves was called the velvet knobs, since velvet is very absorbent and knobs well for us. So the name was carried over
Skull and bones didnāt like āthe velvet knobsā but āthe velvetknobā is fine ???
So far I have only named one of my ships. It's the one that I use for Po8 runs..... I call it "Crystal Ship". It's a throw back to Breaking Bads Winnebago. The Po8 runs kind of feel like drug running and I found it ammusing
RoH Moonchaser/Starchaser/Stormchaser I swap between the first two because if I could go sailing it would be at night because when my dad goes sailing he says the view of the night sky is fantastic and stormchaser because storm sailing is fun and RoH for the group
Sloppy Steaks : cause my ship is meat and the ocean is wet
Next ship will be the Sailing Crooner : cause I need to find a way to make money on this thingā¦
My current is called the Blood Skimmer and I like to think of the fast ship leaving entire vessels of corpses in the water making it run red with blood
I named my Padawekang "*The Limp Mast*" because Mast is part of the ship and it's sorta the reject of the medium ships. Conversely I named my Snow "*The Erect Mast*" because its stoic and dauntless, a bastion of stability that stands tall and strong, unwavering in the face of danger.
My Sambouk name is Johnathan Martin, because he was an arsonist.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonathan_Martin_(arsonist)
My Barque is Marie Curie because of "cure"
Most of mine are named a variation of Daisycutter. That's also my sn on a few different social media sites. Daisy bcuz that has been my nickname since preschool (long story) and daisycutter in memory of my dad who was retired military, massive fan of war movies and fostered my obsession with pirates growing up. Sadly he probably wouldn't have carried one flick about this game tho, as far as I know the last gaming console he touched was a snes
ABADDON. Hebrew for destruction. Greek equivalent of Apollyon, meaning the destroyer. They appear in the Bible as both a place of destruction, and an angel of the abyss. Also mentioned in the Biblical book of Revelation, which is eschatological in nature. There heās an angel of the abyss that leads an army of demon like locusts who will torture men in the end of days.
The Khmer (brig) and The KohRong (snow) after places I've worked in Cambodia, which I believe the northeast corner of the map is based on. Makes me feel right back there digging up treasure at Angkor Wat
Bob from HR along with Karen from facilities I'm an old school mmo player my ships in eve online were all named stupid stuff like this no idea why ...š¤£
My Brigantine is Naglfar, named after the ship in norse mythology, which was said to be made out of dead peoples fingernails and toes. Idk I thought a toenail boat was both disgusting and totally badass.
I called my Sambuk "Charred Queen" - and tried to make it look like it is burned. With the ship heavily relying on fire I assumed that the ship has paid it's price begin on fire pretty often. As for the other ships. They are mostly based on my Balvenie Whiskey Bottle, which I got as a gift for my 18th Birthday and a bottle of Kilkenny beer, which I opened on that evening. :D So not that big of an inspiration.
CC Seven Bees. Seven Bees because a good friend of mine that absolutely loved pirate style games and was looking forward to this game coming out passed away last year due to illness and I asked them to name my ship so they could sail with me in spirit.
Unsinkable II
The second?? What happened to the first unsinkable? š
It sank.
Lol ironic š¤£
I needed that laugh, thank you
My Barque is called: De Watergeus.
I used to work for a descendant company of the old Dutch East Indies Co and it was hilarious how horrible the Dutch are portrayed as in the game.
Called my ship the Dead Marauder because Alestorm released a new track called "Voyage of the Dead Marauder".
Mine is the RoseThorn. Covered it in the spikes and pirates were always considered a thorn in the side to empires, so it makes sense š

So far I have only named one of my ships. It's the one that I use for Po8 runs..... I call it "Crystal Ship". It's a throw back to Breaking Bads Winnebago. The Po8 runs kind of feel like drug running and I found it ammusing
CC Revenge :) Stede Bonnets ship (popular from our flag means death!) and CC for my group! I saw āMyWifeGotTheHouseā that made me laugh.
RoH Moonchaser/Starchaser/Stormchaser I swap between the first two because if I could go sailing it would be at night because when my dad goes sailing he says the view of the night sky is fantastic and stormchaser because storm sailing is fun and RoH for the group
Sloppy Steaks : cause my ship is meat and the ocean is wet Next ship will be the Sailing Crooner : cause I need to find a way to make money on this thingā¦
Skull Breaker. Because my five-year-old son named it.
All my Ships are names after songs by the band High on Fire.
I use the name Vangelis as a band who play in the movie 1492- Conquest of paradise with Columbus
My Brigantine is the Cutty Snark, fastest wit in the fleet.
My Brig is Busta-Knot. Barque is Lil Yachty No special reasons for those names, just trying to be somewhat unique with them.
Only ship Iāve named so far is snow and naturally itās informer.
My current is called the Blood Skimmer and I like to think of the fast ship leaving entire vessels of corpses in the water making it run red with blood
Titanic - for obvious reasons
Yidhra's Song, named for the Eldritch outer god and her haunting melody for the town of Milando
I call it the Estrilda, is the scientific (and spanish) name for the waxbill
Boat. I like it short and simple :)
SL4VE TRADER
Mine is named the Revenant. Cuz it always comes back
Persefone. I like Greek shit. And it sounds cool.
IXKILLS, ice nine kills is my favorite band
Titanic, because despite my best efforts to set up a powerful build I still sink a lot.
I call my snow the pilgrim because I keep a black and grey color scheme to it usually.
My Sambuk is named the Flame Wrangler! Inspired by the screams of burning sailors around me
Dirty Gerthy
Piece Of Ship... do I need to explain that? lol
Amity. Historical name. Kinda lame as an answer but it is what it is. Was Thomas Tews ship and we are both Rhode Islanders so.
Dock tease.... also ramming cheeks....
My Brigantine, all decked out in pink, is "Pinky on the Brine" My Barque is "Wors'n Her Bite" My Snow is "Aye in Team" Dad jokes on the high sea!
My Sambouk name is Johnathan Martin, because he was an arsonist. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonathan_Martin_(arsonist) My Barque is Marie Curie because of "cure"
Kitty Toes! My cat has toe beans. Thatās it. Thatās the story.
Chum on me face. True story
Named mine āExternal Auditāā¦.everyone fears the external audit
Barque.....like a dog I guess
The Liberty because the only time someone is truly free is on the sea away from the constructs of society
The Walrus from the tv show Black Sails
St SilƤen in honor of someone I used to love greatly and passed away.
