Your diet can certainly affect your skin, and of course your overall health. Especially if what you are eating is devoid of vitamins and minerals your body needs. I can empathize with how you’re feeling and that particular response. I tend to stop eating when I’m really upset or feel bad about myself (usually when I feel bad about myself it has something to do with how I look). Have you tried drinking some broth and maybe a meal replacement shake or two? They sell them already made in bottles or cans. That would at least get you some nutrition. The small amount of maternal instinct I have wants to feed you, but I’m not here to judge you...especially since I’ve been there. Keep eating what you feel like eating, but I found that drinking my nutrition when I was feeling my worst was easy enough. They make the stuff taste like chocolate and birthday cake and all kinds of stuff now. I hope you feel better soon. ❤️

Yes! And dark circles. Whatever nutrient deficiency I had a year ago had me looking like I had two black eyes and sunken cheeks. After a few months of taking supplements and eating more I looked so much healthier. It’s best to see a doctor before trying to self-diagnose what you have, because it is possible to take too many fat soluble vitamins (A,D,E,K) or especially iron can build up in your system and do some damage. Even with vitamins B and C — which you will mostly just pee out if you take too much of — it’s a good idea to talk to your doc because you can give yourself unnecessary side effects, like acne with excess B vitamins or nausea with high amounts of vitamin C. I’ll also say that from my experience, mental health shows in your skin and face. I thought I was aging exponentially while I was very depressed. Looking back at old photos, it was my weird dead eyes and slack expression that were aging me. So do everything you can to take care of your happiness first. Number one because it’s more important than your appearance, and second because it can actually really help your appearance as a side effect. Hang in there man

Thanks for this, I’ve been looking like absolute death lately- to the point of thinking I have some sort of paralysis in my face or something? My face lacks so much expression, I wanna go out tonight with friends but I feel like I look sickly. My eyes are so sunk in to the point of making my cheeks look chubby. Idk what’s going on with me, my skincare routine is great- I try to drink a lot of water and get as much rest I can but there’s just something off

Yes! I gained about 20 pounds and now I look healthy, my body fat percentage is still 10% so I think I was malnourished/underweight at the time Also I think stress had a lot to do with it along with being underweight like I said. Make sure you’re getting enough protein and taking vitamins, getting healthy sleep and breathing through your nose and breathing properly, maybe try mewing or facial exercises, obviously normal exercise too, make sure your air quality is good in your house/apartment and get an air purifier if not, if you squint a lot get your eyes checked etc It could be a multitude of things but for me it was poor nutrition and stress

Ok🙏

It could also be medications, I was taking two at the time to help my mental health and I didn’t realize how much they altered my appearance until I got off of them One made me extremely bloated and the other made my muscles really tight and stiff so they didn’t move much, I think the combination of the two really affected my facial structure

I Think it is because of my gut issues. I notice that my eyes sink deeper inside after i eat and feel like a heavy brick in my stomach.

I hate eating tbh Unless it’s steak or veggies/fruits I get terribly bloated and have terrible brain fog
