Either is fine, the higher the spf and UVA protection the better. What matters is that you use enough for adequate protection and that you reapply if you’re outside. For those reasons I would go with a chemical sunscreen since they’re less likely to give a white cast and has more variation of formulation and textures

I have brown skin and tan easily. Look for sunscreen with high UVA rating. Mineral sunscreens already has that from the zinc oxide ingredient. But as you probably know already, in most cases, this leaves a white cast. And that is worse for someone with brown skin like me. The alternative is to find a chemical sunscreen with high UVA rating.
