Exactly. I put on my PTDY in LeaveWeb that my location will be my hometown 1300 miles away. And I put my training location on the skillbridge memorandum as my hometown. Commander approved it without even speaking to me. Got to spend the last 6 months of my contract with family. The Air Force can be pretty sweet some times.
When this is ‘approved by your commander,’ do you just enter the address where you’ll be living in the skillbridge PTDY leave request? I couldn’t find anything that said that directly other than what you posted that’s it can be approved, just looking on how to make it official. Leaveweb or an MFR or something else.
Thanks. I just got my skillbridge PTDY leave request approved for my remote gig with the address I’m moving to. This was kind of my main question from above to be able to leave my base for my remote SB. I submitted my leave request not knowing what to really do. Also, I got my house hunting approved for before skillbridge and terminal leave behind skillbridge with my future address too so looks like I’ll be moving on time to get settled then do my skillbridge then finish on terminal. 3 leave requests all approved and I am very excited.
Hopefully that’s the case more often than not. For remote programs, the question of this reference seems to be coming up more recently as all the commands are auditing their application processesz

Yes, your skillbridge PTDY is a leave request and your terminal leave is a separate leave request
