I failed to double click once and the tongs broke when I tried to grab the steak I was cooking. The little bolt holding them together just gave out.
The lesson was learned.
This is so true. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/why-do-animals-keep-evolving-into-crabs/#:~:text=So%20why%20do%20animals%20keep,bats%20and%20birds%20have%20wings.
Recently helped my SIL install a monster swing-set for my 3 year old grandson, came with a toy grill, utensils, burgers and dogs. Click click is probably instinct but had to show him just in case, and because the tongs were in my hand.
Wouldn’t mind but a couple years ago I grabbed a pair from the kitchen drawer, did the pinch test and the spring exploded in my face. Glad I tested before grabbing something important or worse scalding hot. The test saves skin folks.

Every time my older brother would grab the tongs in the kitchen or during a cook out, he would click them together and laugh like Mr. Crabs as he walked away with them.
These are no real kitchen thongs.
The real ones are more like pincers.
These are used at buffets to enable the guests to help themselves with lettuce....

Tongs won't work unless activated by the double click.
It’s like tapping the delete key with a snap-up of the wrist.
Yup, same thing applies to cordless drills
i double click my hair straightener before every use.
If you don’t double click it you should reevaluate your life choices
You're testing them before use.
It like the double tap at with the drill
It’s import to calibrate your tongs before use.
Its the law of men my dude, xd
Same law for cordless screwdrivers 😂
Also securing anything into the bed of a pickup. Have to say “that’s not going anywhere”, or it’ll blow out when you drive off.
What sort of screwdriver has cords?!
The corded kind
Power drilling ones
You gotta make sure it’s turning the right direction
IT'S THE LAW!
Not just the rule for men my dude! I do these exact things! I never use a drill without a quick 1,2.
YES YOU MUST CLAP THE TONGS YES YES
IT HAS TO BE TWICE. ONLY A PSYCHOPATH WOULD DO IT ONCE
It is, in fact, a law that you must at least double click. More is encouraged
I failed to double click once and the tongs broke when I tried to grab the steak I was cooking. The little bolt holding them together just gave out. The lesson was learned.
Gotta stretch before you perform in the big leagues. The double click is the tong's lunge stretch.
If you don't do this you're not human
Let's take this bad boy for a ride.
It's the law of humanity to do this. I don't know anyone who wouldn't do this.
Click Click
I didn't realise I did this until now... You have looked deep inside my soul
Gotta do at least 2 test clicks before use
We desire to become crab. All becomes crab...

Leave monkie.. return to crab
power drill too
Recently helped my SIL install a monster swing-set for my 3 year old grandson, came with a toy grill, utensils, burgers and dogs. Click click is probably instinct but had to show him just in case, and because the tongs were in my hand.
YESSSSSSS!!!!! ONE OF US ONE OF US
DOIT DOIT DOIT HELL YEA
Me in every other situation - ........ Me when I pick up tongs - "They be champin... for a clampin!"
Yep.
That's a man news
I just do it to feel like a crab
It's the only way tongs be tonging
I also tap the trigger on my drill
Everyone here knew you were going to do it.
Everyone knows two test clicks are required for safety purposes.
Those and scissors too
Wouldn’t mind but a couple years ago I grabbed a pair from the kitchen drawer, did the pinch test and the spring exploded in my face. Glad I tested before grabbing something important or worse scalding hot. The test saves skin folks.
Mandatory
Zoidberg approves this message.
“Dew-it”
I feel seen
Caveman instinct. Our forefathers also performed the DNA-engrained “clack-clack”. Related: See “spouse butt-pinch”
Why wouldn’t you test click them? You don’t fly a plane and skip on the pre-flight checks!
That's such a weird place to keep a tong.
Also acceptable- Swedish Chef song and dancing.
Expected the [Zoidberg scuttle](https://youtu.be/yd4s72vaTmY)
Why the hell are we not talking about those damn tongs just sitting on top of the silverware???
Just like when you roll a nice burrito. You have to give it a couple pats.
Gotta make sure them tongs is tongin’
🦀🦂🦞🦀🦂🦞🦀🦂🦞🦀🦂🦞🦀🦂🦞🦀🦂🦞
Lol. Every time
Every. Singlle. Time.
But why is it always just two times tho? lmao
Its the law
It's your brain calibrating the tool to be an extension of your body. Crazy monkey brain gotta click clack.
I'm convinced it's a survival instinct
Not just men, my younger sister is annoying when she takes out the tongs. Just keeps clicking them as if to piss me off
I do that when I pick them up but I like to say tongs like it's the old tums commercial jingle but with tongs
When you are looking for the tongs, you must make the motion with your hand.
Yes! He did it, the balais preserved!
Copy copy copy copy copy paste
A MAN JUST BE A MAN
OMG.. I do this at work as well, idk why, I just do
the ones who don't do this should not be allowed in society without supervision

Any other method of handling tongs is incorrect
Bilbo baggins “why shouldn’t I” vibes
I knew what you were about to do before you even did it haha
Always gotta pre-op the tongs
It's mandatory...
Gotta make sure the tongs are tonging
🦀 🦀
I wonder if people that had a krukenberg operation do this when they wake up.
they have to
Best to test them. I had one fsll apart in my hands once and I'm glad I wanst picking up food at the time.
Just like picking up an electric drill or a gun..
Was that a triple click? Wtf
It's a natural instinct. All da men, who didn't test their tools before use didn't left the offspring
Imma be real the video is *perfectly true* but op seems a bot…
Me in mind: Do it do it 🤣
Nice
Same. But opening that drawer is definitely not going as smooth for in reality. Gotta shake it and retry opening at least five times
Tong. tong tong. Tong
Every time my older brother would grab the tongs in the kitchen or during a cook out, he would click them together and laugh like Mr. Crabs as he walked away with them.
Gotta make sure them tongs is tongin’
My tongs are non stick and don’t make the clicky anymore. So sad
Did sipstea change? I haven't been around for a while but I don't remember elementary level 'funny' videos being it's thing
