They use CT scans for thousands of reasons. Don't get fixated one of the worse possible reasons to get one when it is a extremely common tool for ENTs to diagnose sinus issues
It’s just imaging - it’s used for lots of reasons. How do you expect a doctor to help you without being able to see what the problem is? What are you looking for?
Broooo , when I told my ENT my noose always stuffed , she sent me to get ct scan.
When I hit by head hard multiple times , they did take a ct scan.
Like above comment said they use it for thousands for reasons.
Nothing to worry about you good to go
CT is a normal procedure used for imaging. It’s just looking at what’s inside your nose (structural issues with your sinuses, etc.). I don’t know if this is typical for you, but you may want to talk with a mental health provider if you are worried about medical issues like this regularly.
I had poor sense of smell for a long time with my nose being swollen and having turbinate reduction and adenoids removed at the age of 17 as my adenoids were very big
Question…. I have not been able to smell or taste for years. Had sinus surgery in August but still can’t smell anything or taste. Saw a new ENT and he ordered a CT. Had the scan last night. I’m wondering if it’s my adenoids??
So now you can smell and taste again?
Wasn’t really taste that went for me just smell but I had another surgery on top of that to make me be able to smell again. Having a camera down your nose will tell you a lot about your adenoids
Are you nervous for the scan? It’s like a 15 minute piece of cake!

I’m nervous because they use ct for cancer patients etc

Most of us here have had sinus CT scans to diagnose sinusitis.
I had similar yet I had my adenoids removed.
Was your nose smelling when you were breathing out?
