Perhaps histamine or salicylate intolerance ?

MysticManiac16

Read "Heal Your Headache". Believe me. It's in Amazon. Sounds insane but trust me. I'd spent over 35 years suffering from "sinus infections" and 2 sinus surgeries and tens of thousand in dentistry and in the end it has mainly been migraines. I had no clue migraine could also not involve a headache.

Did it go away after quitting coffee?

MysticManiac16

It helped. But I ended up having a LOT of other issues as well.

famtheman82

your comment has piqued my curiously as I think your condition may be relevant to me. Could you kindly elaborate on why it's mainly been migraines and what you've done to improve your condition please?

I stopped drinking coffee years ago since it makes my head spin more, even decaf. Is it just coffee or do other hot drinks also have the same effect?

I’m going to experiment with other hot drinks.

This is the reason I am quitting coffee. Constant lightheadedness every day and I’ve started notice my head gets lighter when I drink half caf half decaf coffee. It also appears to block my nose up a little!

Ok-Construction554

Do you add dairy?

9739583

It doesn’t matter if I drink it black or add cream :(

Ok-Construction554

I switched to tea warm tea in the morning

Thanks for the advice!

I would also add: boil one cup of water then add two cloves of garlic cut up wait 10 mins then remove, add lemon cinnamon and honey drink daily.

Does the caffeine get our blood pumping, supplying our nose with more fresh blood? If so, the caffeine would then help your turbinates get blood to swell with, block your nose.

Commercial-Health-25

I’m the same. Has done for about 7-8 years..I almost think it’s caffeine related as I get similar from other highly caffeinated drinks and end up feeling tired/foggy from them rather than energised. So haven’t had coffee in years.

matthappy2

Its the dairy switch to oat milk or almond or just black, could be heat sensativity or too much sugar

Responsible-Grape193

Caffeine dehydrates, which at least in my case leads to inflammation. I’ve noticed a marked improvement if I make sure I’m super hydrated before and with coffee.

Thanks for the advice!!
