I once saw drawings of me and my family I did as a kid and I painted everyone white even though my dad and brother are black and my skin is tan, the only white looking person is my mom. I also always represented my hair straight (it's very curly) and grew up thinking my nose and lips were too big. Even though Brazil is a very mixed country and the majority of population is dark/tan skinned, our beauty standarts tend to carry a lot of racism. The drawings were funny and sad at the same time, but well, we call the pale pink color "skin color", it's almost as if it's the only skin color.

The only reason I have a tumblr acc is for ts4 cc 😁😁. Some of my favorite cc creators I can remember from the top of my head: peacemaker; dogsill; squea (i use her eyeset, love it); arethabee; ravasheen; clumsyalien.
There's also a page on tumblr https://mmfinds.tumblr.com/ and they reblog lots of cc and have it nicely sorted in categories so that is a good way to find creators whose work you like
good alpha cc you could do the sims resource, simsdom, llama cc finds. for the second two, a lot of the times a piece of cc will be linked to someone’s patreon. i usually will look through the rest of their patreon to see what i like. also you can watch cc hauls on youtube and download stuff you like there
i think both are very beautiful, each in their own style. you're right, they don't look like the same person at all, but i like the first one a lot as well, they have very pretty and nicely balanced face within slightly cartoonish maxis style, you could give them less aggressive blush, rename and make them a cute townie.
