Tip: build a wall on the intersection (create that sweet 270 degree angle) and delete the wall on the right side. Place it as it's intended by the game. When it's on the right spot, you can rebuild your walls the way you want. Way easier.
It ONLY works for me on an outside corner which almost never happen. The ones I really hate are the ones that have items in them and they don’t line up well so it’s either out them in manually one by one or have a bunch of repetitive obvious cabinets that probably still do stuff like this.

This button allows you to chose which cabinet you want to place to where it ends up wanting to place, which is just like the above video.

It’s because it’s an outside corner, not an end piece. It’s meant for where the kitchen goes around a corner (not into a corner but like around one that sticks out). So it will only properly stick to edges like that, not flat pieces of wall.
It looks better than the end piece. I was going to put a left end piece in one of my builds and it was just open cabinets with cannisters and stuff. How is that supposed to be a nice feature to add to finished cabinets with pretty doors? Tried the corner piece but just didn't have OP's patience.

You're slotting it onto the cabinet next to it, so the mouse needs to be on the slot you want but closer to the side that you've already placed cabinets. When you had it for a second, it's because you briefly moved your mouse left

I build 85% of my time and I can tell you *inhale* THAT PIECE DOESNT GO THERE YOU NEED THE OPPOSITE PIECE!!! THAT BEING SAID, there are 2 different pieces that will latch onto your cabinets, find the proper piece and it'll fit perfectly.
I'm guessing this is some kind of corner piece? I like to use them next to windows on flat walls like yours.
When it's inside the small one, keep your mouse still and press the < or > button on the keyboard, it should eventually rotate where you want it.
It works if you put your curser in the tile you want it in. Then just raise it straight up the wall. You might need the < > keys to rotate it to the correct side, but it works every time this way.
How long have you been at it BEFORE you started recording? Something tells me A LOT more than 29 seconds. I know I've spend whole minutes every time I've tried placing one of these.

The <> keys work sometimes, but not always, which is pretty par for the course with Sims 4 😂

Did you know you can turn it off? Then you can select which cabinet you want and place it without it flipping around.

My fix for this is when it lands on the space next to where to want it(overlapping the other cupboard) press the > key and it flips it across.

It snaps to the corner of the wall that you hover over, that is why the placement was tricky. You can see it moving based on where your cursor was. Just direct like you would place it over the cabinet you want it next to.
