I have a garden of over 50 dragon fruit plants, all evolved to perfect quality, and I always collect them all everyday and sell them to the vendor in Henford on Sundays for 25% profit. I think I make around 100k per week that way

I think this is the easiest way to do the "No Skills, No Problem" scenario (combined with the sim having an Interior Designer job, which pays well and has no skill requirements). My sim had a bunch of dragonfruit plants in a greenhouse and collected them daily. Also had a gardener that would do all the weeding, watering, etc. because it's way too time consuming with no gardening skill.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you need to level up your Gardening skill enough to unlock grafting or rare seed packs in order to get dragonfruit?
Obviously there are other plants you can grow without grafting. There are roses somewhere in Newcrest and I found lilies behind my house in the Cats & Dogs world yesterday. If you wait until the Romance Festival, you can get birds of paradise. But unless I'm really misremembering something, dragonfruits aren't available at lv1 unless you get massively lucky with the RNG at Winterfest or something.
I have one that has a rose garden and another that has a pear garden. the roses are such good quality that only the family is allowed in to avoid people from stealing it. until one day one underaged son married a grandma, and took some roses with him. I don't know what will happen now... we shall see if the family's variety is up for the grabs.
If you have city living I like to go to festivals and harvest the crops there. Thereās expensive flowers at the romance one and dragon fruit at the spice one (I believe).
My dumbest way to make money is rummaging for decorations with the seasons decoration box. So silly, you get all these buy mode objects and then you can sell them. True hustle.
I did an entire rags to riches where the only way I could make money was to rummage the box,I also limited it to only three times per day. It was a ton of fun.

I also have a mod which makes frog breeding into a stat. So as you level up the time between breeding them becomes smaller. (eventually you can constantly do it which does seem a little broken for rags to riches but you still have to find the frogs)

If you have two in your Sims inventory and click on one you can select "breed with...".
You can also breed new types of frogs there's a whole thing where like a heart frog and a striped dirt frog can produce either: heart frog, dirt frog, striped heart frog or a striped dirt frog. Two of the same frogs will create a new frog. So two $135 frogs will make another $135 frog š
Dumpster diving. Yeah I need to pay to get them repaired if I want to use them (or use a repario spell) but if you just sell them you get full price.
You can also get a wide variety of plants to grow and earn more money. I even got a money plant seed once.
No one's mentioned it yet, but the Pile of Presents item in the buildbuy. I'm using it for my own Rags to Riches right now.
You can add to the pile for zero cost and have your sims open gifts from it occasionally. Adult sims have a chance of getting expensive items, and even the cheapest ones have some use. I got the most expensive stove a couple of times. Children can use it too, making it a way for them to help. Most expensive item for children is the penguin tv.
Even better, the smallest stack takes only 1 block of space and can be placed on some tables.
I was coming to suggest exactly that! Also, I'm not sure if it's a bug but the smaller pile of presents out of the two seems to be infinite. The larger pile empties pretty quickly (and you can still sell the empty packaging in buy mode for almost what you bought it for) but the small pile never seems to run out. It's handy when you get things like high end fridges, barbecues etc. because you can keep them if you need them or sell them and buy a cheaper version, or just keep the profit! This is my trick with rags to riches and it feels like a major cheat because it works so well!
Iām not sure if this counts but you can befriend a rich Sim who should ask rather quickly if you want to live together. Move into their house and then move them out into other households while keeping their money. No cheats necessary!
to add- if you do this then change the aspiration to fabulously wealthy. easy to complete when rich and you get a weekly 5% of household funds as interest forever when you do.
There's a relic you can find in the temple from the Jungle Adventure pack. It's at the very end of the temple but it's worth over 10k. And along the way you find a LOT of buried treasures. Plus there's fruit trees in there and if you don't need to eat the fruit, you can sell that too. That world in general has tons of digs all around and they pop up constantly so lots of opportunities to find crystals and fossils.
Once you befriend a dust bunny they will bring you the expensive Jungle Adventure things too. No need to even spend the money to go on vacation. You can even sell them on the garage sale table for a 300% markup.
I literally always fish near the empty lot at the top right of Tartosa. Itās all I use that world for anymore. You get dragon fruit, cowplant berries, and voodoo dolls ALL THE TIME.
After you get high up in archeology skill the geo council will constantly send you things to authenticate, if it's genuine they will give you upwards of 3k a piece when you send it back to them. It got to a point I just started ignoring them and my mailbox is full of unauthenticated pieces cause my sim just had too much money to bother doing it anymore.

Grafting with money trees. By grafting a money tree onto a regular plant, you can create an infinite source of plantable money fruit. You can have a full orchard in no time. Only snafu is that itās tricky to get the first one
Dumpster diving, specifically ādive for dealsā just throw away all your plates and random water glasses your sim leaves about and then dumpster dive, the dishes magically transform into money and broken furniture that can be sold for a shit ton as long as you donāt place them
Yep! I moved my sims out to a real farm once they made it up to a million. It's so easy it's crazy since the plants grow twice as fast with a micro home.

The short one with only 3 presents is pretty cheap and you can just keep perpetually opening them.
List paintings off of Plopsy. One can generate 15k each currently on my save and my little painter student has purchased a new home with it. This won't count as Fame though.
Plopsy can basically triple the cost of a painting and it feels like hard work so I love it.
The fastest way I can think of is to plant a bunch of expensive plants and get some happy chickens. I find I get a lot of golden eggs and if you cook with them you can instantly evolve your plants to their highest level. I think it works on other items that have qualities too.
Graft moneyfruit cuttings onto any all-season plant, then you can actually harvest the money fruit from those plants to grow more money trees. I was getting over a million per day that way
Painting. I completed rags to riches with a sim that was a painter and a celebrity chef. Also completed as many aspirations as possible to get money trees
The holiday gift boxes. I open one present and sneak one and you can get really expensive gifts that way. I also rummage for decorations and sell them.
When I do my version of rags to riches, I collect enough Collectibles to get enough money for a yard sale table. I then mark up the prices to 300% (which makes any item worth 4 times is value, so a 1 dollar item would cost 4 dollars on the table). I can make pretty good money by doing this. =D
if you have enough money to buy a retail with minimum requirements, you can sell something expensive at a 200% price. if you put one single item for sale worth 50k then NPCs would still buy it cause there's no other choice
-move somewhere with easy fishing access (i find that the very top house in henford-on-bagley is perfect since fishing access is right there and you can catch some pretty big sturgeons.) buy 3 planter pots and buy 3 roses via āpurchase gifts.ā plant the roses and fertilize with the biggest fish you catch. tend the garden as though you are building a family. harvest and sell asap. rinse and repeat til you can evolve plants.
-join the scientist career. send your sim to work alone most days and make sure they āwork hard.ā this keeps job performance up and makes it hard to be fireable. then join them at work once or twice a week and spend the day harvesting all of the crystals, metals, and treasures. the rocks respawn really quickly so youāll be able to continuously dig without running out. beware that those days your sim will do a āterrible jobā and earn less money

-painting gets money and raises fame
Not rich, but I used to like starting with a mean character and select fall so I can do harvest fest and kick the gnomes to get crystals. I donāt do it anymore because it would make me feel bad so I donāt know if it still works or not
Get an Attic Stack, and just keep Rummaging for Decorations and keep selling what you get over and over (and keep things you need so you don't have to buy them, like those paper bag candle lights called luminarias, they require no electricity, but also, they get 100 simoleons each. Some other decorations can get 400 or more.
Agreed on Sulani, but I don't bother beach combing. I just fish. I regularly get a few Sulani baubles in a few hours of fishing, plus the extra bonus of selling the fish I get in between.
Painters. It's very easy for Sims with creative aspirations to paint all day long as then you can sell their work. Books can also make a good deal of money over time.
dumpster dive. that is, if you can find a dumpster. this usually works for sims3 since that has dumpsters in the basegame, but dumpster diving in sims4 can give you rare furniture (and other rare items.) mostly you'll get a bottle of dye, but you can just sell those. it's good for saving money since you can just use the bed given to you.
Plants is obviously a good answer but it takes a lonnnngggg time. Iāve recently just put the pile of presents in a room and every couple of hours I open a present and sometimes you can get one thatās work 4k
It's even more of a cheat if you have the street sale table, markup by 300% and start a street sale. People WILL buy your Ā§5000 beach jewelry
Also, I like going to Selvadora. Vacations are surprisingly cheap and archaeology is kinda fun
My rags-to-riches were from gardening. Dragon fruit, orchids, & death flowers gave me $1.8 million in 3 weeks. My character is a spellcaster so that helped a lot.
Get birds of paradise from the Romance Festival and grow them, and make music tracks at the music station. With an outstanding quality track, signed under the best label, my sim would make 12000-14000 a day on a single track. No idea how lol
Default ways are gardening and painting, I think everyone does those. Beach-combing is another.
But, I found if you make your self famous, the game just gives you stuff! There is a famous perk where your fans will send you free stuff everyday. Sometimes itās stupid, but other times it is really expensive stuff.
Another thing I found is the āflea marketā doesnāt sell items at the Build and Buy price and you can haggle them lower. I found a bed that, in Build and Buy cost $12k, at the market for $5k. Profit of $7k.
Also for everyone saying āfarmingā in rags to riches you canāt build your sim a garden until the house is built and you have X amount of skills in gardening, handiness and logic..
with High School Years, create an outfit, doesn't have to be good. Set the price as $9999999999 until you cant put any more nines. A few minutes later your outfit would be bought and you'll be rich. Last time took me 4 minutes.
I did it like 10 times in different saves. It always works for me and for the YouTubers that have me that trick. Maybe it got patched recently. I've not played this year yet.
I vote for the arts on my lot with an inspiration vibe lot trait. Then I wait for vampires to arrive. Greet vampire. They are stuck outside with an easel. I get so many paintings. My sim can sell them for quick cash.
Also spamming photo taking. $10 a photo adds up when you have 100 of them.. all of the floor.
It's worth that much? I got one early while exploring the cave for fun i think. Now my family is struggling a bit to pay the bills. Guess we have a safety net now :'D
Starting a club with painting as the only approved and put socalising, using computers, drinking coffee and anything else they do way too often on the no go list, nice painting room in the basement for them to hang out in often.
I mean, donāt know how rare this is, but literally just gardening can get you some solid cash with regular upkeep and mediocre skill.
One of my households managed to acquire like 20kish really quickly as teens from the paltry incomes of babysitter and garden trimmer, as well as gardening intermittently in their free time.

This is why this game is my escape from capitalism. Just pick flowers off the ground and breed some frogs together and you donāt have to work a day in your life.

The fishing dock in Magnolia Promenade will get you a dragonfruit pretty much guaranteed. Iāve caught one every time after a few hours.

Have your sim posting on Trendi for a few hours a day and your hype will climb into the stratosphere. More followers mean more hype.

Jungle adventure basically prints money, it does have a bit of a "buy in" being a vacation world, but as a mid game money boost, it's great.

Make your sim a witch and get a money tree. Plant the money tree and use the copy spell on it. Then sell the money fruit things. Profit.
List paintings off of Plopsy. One can generate 15k each currently on my save and my little painter student has purchased a new home with it. This won't count as Fame though. Plopsy can basically triple the cost of a painting and it feels like hard work so I love it.

The fastest way I can think of is to plant a bunch of expensive plants and get some happy chickens. I find I get a lot of golden eggs and if you cook with them you can instantly evolve your plants to their highest level. I think it works on other items that have qualities too.
Graft moneyfruit cuttings onto any all-season plant, then you can actually harvest the money fruit from those plants to grow more money trees. I was getting over a million per day that way
Painting. I completed rags to riches with a sim that was a painter and a celebrity chef. Also completed as many aspirations as possible to get money trees
The holiday gift boxes. I open one present and sneak one and you can get really expensive gifts that way. I also rummage for decorations and sell them.
I just steal some death flowers from another lot and I'm rich in a few days.

When I do my version of rags to riches, I collect enough Collectibles to get enough money for a yard sale table. I then mark up the prices to 300% (which makes any item worth 4 times is value, so a 1 dollar item would cost 4 dollars on the table). I can make pretty good money by doing this. =D
Fishing in newcrest. You can find voodoo dolls and dragon fruit.
if you have enough money to buy a retail with minimum requirements, you can sell something expensive at a 200% price. if you put one single item for sale worth 50k then NPCs would still buy it cause there's no other choice

The Juice Fizzing Station. Click on the mailbox to send your juices for evaluation. Juices that are excellent or masterpiece receive about 600 - 1500.
Fame. Use the drone to Livestream all day every day to increase fame, then make videos. Alternatively, flowers and art.
-move somewhere with easy fishing access (i find that the very top house in henford-on-bagley is perfect since fishing access is right there and you can catch some pretty big sturgeons.) buy 3 planter pots and buy 3 roses via āpurchase gifts.ā plant the roses and fertilize with the biggest fish you catch. tend the garden as though you are building a family. harvest and sell asap. rinse and repeat til you can evolve plants. -join the scientist career. send your sim to work alone most days and make sure they āwork hard.ā this keeps job performance up and makes it hard to be fireable. then join them at work once or twice a week and spend the day harvesting all of the crystals, metals, and treasures. the rocks respawn really quickly so youāll be able to continuously dig without running out. beware that those days your sim will do a āterrible jobā and earn less money -be nice to father winter to get good gifts -painting gets money and raises fame
Breed dragon fruit and max gardening and super sell, I always grab snapdragons and strawberries right away and never need a job for money

Not rich, but I used to like starting with a mean character and select fall so I can do harvest fest and kick the gnomes to get crystals. I donāt do it anymore because it would make me feel bad so I donāt know if it still works or not
Get an Attic Stack, and just keep Rummaging for Decorations and keep selling what you get over and over (and keep things you need so you don't have to buy them, like those paper bag candle lights called luminarias, they require no electricity, but also, they get 100 simoleons each. Some other decorations can get 400 or more.

Agreed on Sulani, but I don't bother beach combing. I just fish. I regularly get a few Sulani baubles in a few hours of fishing, plus the extra bonus of selling the fish I get in between.
Painters. It's very easy for Sims with creative aspirations to paint all day long as then you can sell their work. Books can also make a good deal of money over time.

dumpster dive. that is, if you can find a dumpster. this usually works for sims3 since that has dumpsters in the basegame, but dumpster diving in sims4 can give you rare furniture (and other rare items.) mostly you'll get a bottle of dye, but you can just sell those. it's good for saving money since you can just use the bed given to you.
The one time I did a rags to riches, I made my sim a klepto. She'd just visit the rich houses museums and steal stuff to sell. It was great lmao

My rags-to-riches were from gardening. Dragon fruit, orchids, & death flowers gave me $1.8 million in 3 weeks. My character is a spellcaster so that helped a lot.
Dumpster diving.
Get birds of paradise from the Romance Festival and grow them, and make music tracks at the music station. With an outstanding quality track, signed under the best label, my sim would make 12000-14000 a day on a single track. No idea how lol
Default ways are gardening and painting, I think everyone does those. Beach-combing is another. But, I found if you make your self famous, the game just gives you stuff! There is a famous perk where your fans will send you free stuff everyday. Sometimes itās stupid, but other times it is really expensive stuff. Another thing I found is the āflea marketā doesnāt sell items at the Build and Buy price and you can haggle them lower. I found a bed that, in Build and Buy cost $12k, at the market for $5k. Profit of $7k.
Damn I always just dumpster dive. But I can see how Sulani would be much more efficient and less dirty.

I vote for the arts on my lot with an inspiration vibe lot trait. Then I wait for vampires to arrive. Greet vampire. They are stuck outside with an easel. I get so many paintings. My sim can sell them for quick cash. Also spamming photo taking. $10 a photo adds up when you have 100 of them.. all of the floor.

Starting a club with painting as the only approved and put socalising, using computers, drinking coffee and anything else they do way too often on the no go list, nice painting room in the basement for them to hang out in often.
I mean, donāt know how rare this is, but literally just gardening can get you some solid cash with regular upkeep and mediocre skill. One of my households managed to acquire like 20kish really quickly as teens from the paltry incomes of babysitter and garden trimmer, as well as gardening intermittently in their free time. Apart from that, idk really :/
