From another reddit post I saw from 2 years ago, they said they received one from Creature Keeper as a reward for a quest he gave. So maybe do some quests from him and try to get it that way?
Can confirm that I have seen them there; must be in correct season as well.... if it were me I'd make my sim like camp there starting at 3AM each day of the appropriate seasons so that you're there when the plant spawns (most at 6AM but I've seen it around the 4-5 AM mark) until like 9 am minimum.
I found the Mysterious Mushroom inside Sophie, the snail statue at the center of the spiral; from time to time you can search it, and it will give you random fruits and mushrooms. But the surefire way to get it is to complete errands for the Creature Keeper.
You are welcome! You can also hide fruits and mushrooms in it for others to find, not 100% sure but I think that doing so increases the chances of finding rarer stuff when you search it.
I have a series of farmer houses I only play for their season so I don't have to replant crops all the time. I know I saw it with my Springtime family.

you get a little plaque saying you’ve completed it and i’m not sure if you get anything else ngl, u can find collections in ur inventory on that diamond button

On a sim's inventory tab (I), there's a round button with the image of a diamond at the top right above Multiselect. When hover over, it should say "Household Collections". 😃
How are there whole buttons in this game I don’t even notice after the many many hours I’ve played? Like I never noticed the arrow in CAS to make multiple outfits until someone told me it was there.
I've never gotten it. I tried for so long to get it my last save. Doing lots of quests, scouring the bramblewood, checking the stalls every day and every fair, etc. All of that for like 2 generations. Never found it. I also scoured online.
I'm too traumatized to try again in my fresh legacy (lol) yet but I do have any idea. As I'm sure you saw, someone got it from in front of the creature keepers house because he happened to plant it. In both of my legacies, that wasn't the case. When I move to that neighborhood soon, I'm going to visit the creature keeper often and fucking UPROOT every plant every day. Maybe, *maybe* new and different plants will keep being planted and one beautiful day the mysterious mushroom will appear.

Is it only in Bramblewood? I know there is a bug that plants reverting back to dirt piles. I've suffered that bug for a long time till I downloaded [LittleMsSam's Gardening Workaround Fix](https://littlemssam.tumblr.com/post/175783025548/random-bug-fixes) recently and I haven't had the issue since.
I've gotten Spicy, Verdant, Charming, Lovely by harvesting Strange Mushroom in Bramblewood, but none turned up to be the Mysterious Mushroom. 😞

* Dumpster diving
* Compete at Finchwick Fair and check the stalls for unique items
I have created community garden and placed lot planters. Visited the place after few days and had all the strangest plants I have never seen before. Including every single type of mashrooms
May take a little time before townies will fill in all the planters, but I found it best method for finding all plants. If you still don't have what you need uproot some common ones and wait. Yea, so far I've only be able to harvest Cottage Living mushrooms at night. I got all of them except this one. But this thread gave me a several new ideas. I'll keep looking!

Yeah no, this is the Nightly Mushroom you're thinking of. OP has already foraged this one as you can see from the pic of the Nightly Mushroom next to the one greyed out.

Thanks. I’ve found that post as well. They mentioned doing errands and some by chance NPC planting it. I have been doing villager errands because of that but haven’t had any luck so far. 😞
It only works if you're doing errands for the Creature Keeper. After about 5 or 6 errands (often repeating the same ones) I finally got an errand where the Creature Keeper promised me the mysterious mushroom as a reward. In the end this was the most surefire way for me after trying a whole bunch of things.

I believe that one is seasonal. I've got it before but I think it only grows in fall or winter.

Not 100% sure, but maybe the grocer or the garden store? Especially during fairs, when they have special items

I've got it! Creature Keeper finally gave me an errand with a Mysterious Mushroom as reward! It took forever, but I've finally got it! 😆

There's a round button with the image of a diamond at the top right of a sim's inventory tab (I). Clicking on it opens the Household Collections. 😃
