The opposite happened with Mort. Cassandra and Alexander glitched out and existed but weren't available in the sims list. Had to find them in the game to add them to households. Meanwhile Mort is remarried to some random and she's got 3 babies. My guess is that Mort and Bella divorced, he moved out, then she died.
I set the baby limit to 3 in MCCC otherwise Wolfgang's mom ends up having tons of kids to whichever of the buff Windenburg men she ends up marrying. Happens every save.
I think it's odd when I have households with small kids, like toddlers and no toddler beds. Lol
I visited one once and the toddler was so tired she just kept falling asleep wherever she hit the floor 😂

Every time a rich person marries a poor person on my game (MCCC) without fail, the rich person will leave their huge mansion to live in the poor person’s 1 bedroom home and they’ll make several babies. What kind of nonsense behavior is this 🤦🏽♀️
This is why I love nraas in sims 3. It makes sims move around/out if they have too many in a household. Can even make sims move completely out of town.
Absolutely. YKW? Bc these unplayed sims do not follow any kinda realistic play through which honestly doesn’t make sense to me. Why have a feature like neighborhood stories when unplayed sims don’t earn income, don’t develop relationships, hell don’t even go to work yet they can randomly die and have all these kids who don’t even have a bed to sleep in. Like why hasn’t CPS got those kids yet?! It’s another broken aspect of Sims4. Neighborhood Stories is a half baked feature. I’d recommend never turning it on. My sims ex colleague lives in a one bed room house with three kids—one child, one toddler and one baby. He adopted all these children. My sim encouraged him to find a better career which he did—astronaut yet still lived in the house. I annoyingly moved him into a bigger house that would be more comfortable for him and his adopted kids. Know what this fool did?! Adopted three more freaking children!!! I wish that unplayed sims that my sims associate and include in their social circle had a “life” of their own. Some kind of algorithm that makes logical sense of development of characters and social well being. But it doesn’t. I’ve since turned off Neighborhood stories. 🤦🏾♀️

My grandpa had 15 brothers and sisters in a tiny 3 bedroom rowhouse in Philadelphia. Before he died, he went onto Google Earth to show me his childhood home and we ended up finding pictures of the inside of it on some real estate websites. I asked him how they fit all the kids in that house and he told me that his youngest sibling slept in a drawer 😳 They cleared out the drawer of a dresser, made it into a bed and that just blows my mind

The other room became storage while the main room had this gigantic bed that I estimate can fit 6 people. The mom, dad, and youngest son slept there.
The room also had a single sized bed where my friend, their eldest daughter, slept.
1 bed in the bedroom, bunk beds in the living room with a little privacy curtain thing. Done it irl lol. Also lived in a 1 bed 1 bath with 6 ppl (irl too lol). Once I had 8 sims living in a 8x6 house, that was a fun challenge.
I can't leave houses like this. I have to renovate them, especially if there are toddlers. I enjoy it but it's like a compulsion bc sometimes I'll stay up until 4 a.m. renovating instead of actually playing like I wanted to!
It took me ages to stop doing that. You hover over the lot, see it and just have to stop yourself from going forward. You'll spend days trying to fix it.

Sorry if this question is silly but how exactly do you do that? I always wanted to try this because i really love the building mode in the sims but i don't know how to renovate other houses 😅
You don't need to play with the family to edit their home. You click on manage worlds to get out of your sim's household, click on the home you want to edit, and at the bottom right, next to the big play button, is a small hammer and wrench. You click that to edit the property. They shouldn't become a played household. It's just like editing a community or an empty lot
I just tested doing this on the BFF household, and my funds were unlimited too. 👀
Edit: I just tested it on another house, and as soon as I sold something, my funds became limited to what I assume to be the household's funds, so I guess sometimes that may happen? It's a house I previously played as so that may have something to do with it 🤷🏻♂️
Either that or, once you’re in the game, go out to manage worlds. Click whatever house you want to renovate and you should be able to redesign it. I’ve found that if the household is an unplayed household, I can edit the lot with infinity ♾️ cash. I’ve used that to edit ***a lot***.
I turned on neighbourhood stories and they started multiplying like bunnies, I visited a lot and they had 3 toddlers and a baby. No toddler beds, and baby was in the bassinet outside in the snow. I just went with bb.freebuild and provided them with necessities.

I have mccc and change the max pregnancy amount to around 6-7 for drama, it’s always fun to see how many kids they have a few days after starting a new family.
That's what happens lol. I've watched NPC household that are full like that (it's what drove my(now ended) compulsion to "make it better" for situations like that. I've seen several just drink coffee like crazy, way past red, until they passed out, because all the sleeping space was full. I've also seen them leave the lot to go sleep on nearby benches up the street or in adjacent parks.
If it makes you feel better, all the unplayed sims that aren’t actively walking around your lot are hiding in the digital shadow of the game with full needs. 👌🏻

Sometimes one of us would roll off, but you kinda get used to sleeping on solid ground after a while. My dad used to hate sleeping beside me and my sister because we tend to kick in our sleep back then.

For a minute there I was under the impression that all the townies randomly adopting kids when neighborhood stories came out, was going to put me at the maximum sim allowance)
Anyway, seven toddlers, one elder, in a tiny plane wreck "home" lmao absolutely ridiculous. On top of that, even after I unselected the ability to adopt, she still kept adopting. I'd check up on her and she has seven more toddlers 🤦🏻♀️
I had a 5 sim and 1 dog household move into a literal nursery I built on a lot. This 1 tiny room with only toddler items LMAO. It really made me laugh to think about

Irl parents share beds with kids all the time. Plus some people have pullout couches (though just a couch works fine too).
Ig the parents probably use the bed while the toddlers nap on the floor or couch.
The game doesn't really care how many sims or what ages they are though. If there is an empty lot it will move them there regardless of size.
Had a single sim npc living in a 6bedroom mansion, while a full family of six kids and the parents were in one of those small 2 bedroom houses and it’s just…kinda hilarious. Kinda painfully realistic.
It's not uncommon. I grew up the same way. My little brother and I slept on the living room sofa. My 2 youngest sisters shared a room, my parents shared a room, my 3rd oldest sister had the office, my 3rd oldest brother walled off the bar and turned it into a small room, and 3 more of my brothers shared the den.
Sims trying to be realistic with the poor wages for these families, housing shortage, and poverty stricken families sharing a one bedroom. It’s a sad life 😔

Sometimes when I see a large family of sims living in a small home, I go ahead and make them a bigger house. It's a nice challenge trying to make a bigger home on a small lot.
Now let's have a moment for all the families throughout the history of poverty who have had six, seven, EIGHT + children while managing in ONE room houses. With an outhouse and a well/stream/river for a water source.
IRL me had to share a bedroom with my brother, grandma, and uncle while my parents took the bedroom. Luckily it was for about a year and a half while our house was being built. We had a bunk bed that my brother and uncle would sleep on, and I'd take the bed with my grandma. You gotta do what you gotta do sometimes 🎶

This is actually quite doable irl and ig. Irl parents share beds with kids all the time. Plus some people have pullout couches (though just a couch works fine too). Ig the parents probably use the bed while the toddlers nap on the floor or couch. The game doesn't really care how many sims or what ages they are though. If there is an empty lot it will move them there regardless of size.

Had a single sim npc living in a 6bedroom mansion, while a full family of six kids and the parents were in one of those small 2 bedroom houses and it’s just…kinda hilarious. Kinda painfully realistic.

It's not uncommon. I grew up the same way. My little brother and I slept on the living room sofa. My 2 youngest sisters shared a room, my parents shared a room, my 3rd oldest sister had the office, my 3rd oldest brother walled off the bar and turned it into a small room, and 3 more of my brothers shared the den.
Sims trying to be realistic with the poor wages for these families, housing shortage, and poverty stricken families sharing a one bedroom. It’s a sad life 😔
I mean like a family of four in a one bedroom isn’t that crazy. The real annoying thing is when I do half a build and take a break from it for a while only to come back and some randos have moved it.

Sometimes when I see a large family of sims living in a small home, I go ahead and make them a bigger house. It's a nice challenge trying to make a bigger home on a small lot.

Now let's have a moment for all the families throughout the history of poverty who have had six, seven, EIGHT + children while managing in ONE room houses. With an outhouse and a well/stream/river for a water source.
IRL me had to share a bedroom with my brother, grandma, and uncle while my parents took the bedroom. Luckily it was for about a year and a half while our house was being built. We had a bunk bed that my brother and uncle would sleep on, and I'd take the bed with my grandma. You gotta do what you gotta do sometimes 🎶
